So today must've been the most boring day of my life. See, my mother is a librarian at a medical library, so I've been spending the day marking and proccessing books for her. It was mind-numbingly boring... So just now I thought, "hey, this is just like what the Baudelaires were doing in the Hostile Hospital!" So I thought about it and imagined that they must've been as bored as I am... crying
So now I feel I understand a bit of the Baudelaire's plight. The question is, have you ever had an experience similar to that of a character of a favorite book that caused you to gain a similar understanding of the character?

A family friend of mine studies lizards for a living (I forget the specific name of that kind of scientist whee ) and when he took me to the lab where he works a few years ago it reminded me exactly of what Uncle Monty's Reptile Room must have looked like. It was really neat. 3nodding

Well, I think most people can relate to adults not listening to you when you were a kid.

redheadrebel it's cool when that happens isn't it? Yep. It was a sort of epiphany. Plus, now I understand how Hal could expect someone to file something without reading it. I only actually read something from only 1 book, out of about a few dozen.
