The Despada Store

Batou now runs his grandmother's store. It normally masquerades as an apothecary, stocking and mixing medicinal herbs for the sick. But if you walk in determined and ask straight up for the poisons, Batou will open a random drawer amongst the many identical ones and show you his wares.

Note: All poisons are sold with 10 uses.

Batou disembarked from the boat and looked at the moon, with a sigh. It was late, so he'd better get home quick. He didn't want to get knifed...

A description of the surrounding areas around him will be provided at a later date, but, tonight, at least, Batou got home safely, and soon drifted into sleep...

The market...

This was a place Kage always found great annoyance in traversing. Ever since he was a young boy, he was always forced to go to the market with the elder women back home. And when he started to date Star, she would do the same. It was such an annoyance to him

He looked on to the crowds as he stood first in a back allyway, blending into the darkness with his cloak and hood. The only part of his entire flesh that was shown was a small sliver of flesh right under his shades. The bridge of his nose and the middle of his cheeks were all that were reveild. That and a scar stretching down from his right eye.

After a bit more confusion filled the air, he moved into the crowds where he would be less noticed. He moved from one vender to the next, gazing at the fresh produce and items.

The wood man came passing through the area once more. It was a slow pace as he looked about. Whatever this hellish place was...he found it almost homly. He began to pick up litlte pices of food and items to cook with, including a few fish, meats and poisons. Yes poisons. This was something he learned in the land of Suna. Using poisons and nutralizing them to help bring out the flavor of the food.

He heard a few more whistels but these came from me this time. He knew why they came about without even turnning around. He had heard several words that only fit with the woman that controlled him. Soon he felt a pair of warmth against his back and a arm wrap around him with a Kunai to his throat. "Gemmie all your money and that sexy bod of yours an no one gets hurt!" the voice was a joking attempt to sound masculine by an already low toned femine voice.

"Hello Star." Kage said simply. He turned to walk off without much of a word.

"Oh come on. You could at least play along."

"Why?" His cold, dry remarks left her a bit annoyed. She walked up next to him and was about to glomp him but instead bumped into someone else. "HAY WATCH IT!"

It was Batou. He was directly in her path. Before she could say or look around, Kage looked back to her and was gone. This was her situation.

[[nah, star is pretty dark skined due to being so naked back in Suna. She's more arabic I guess you could say. SHe's not dark brown but more like a light tan.]]

She looked to the boy. SHE bumped into HIM? How DARE he say something like that...just cause it's true doesn't mean she would admit to it. She looked to the boy and her face twisted into a bit of annoyance. "What do you mean I bumped into you?"

Stepping closer, she sneared at him and glared into his eyes, "You think it's fun bumping into women? You did it on purpose didn't you? You wanted to feel my tits huh? Well, the women of Kiri aren't exactly the biggest chest sizes in the world so who could blame you but still!"

Her face then twisted into an evil little grin, "Maybe I should just make you my little puppet...you'd like that wouldn't you? You look like a bit of a submissive...hehehe bet I could have a lot of fun with you." moving closer, she began to breath on him a bit and soon...out of no where, lick his lips and grinned. "Nah...you don't taste like puppet material."

She said with a smile completly contradictory to her previous personality. "Hmmm well now, didn't I see you yesterday?"

Star turned and her face went a bit off in appearance. It was a cross between when you have a bad taste in your mouth and a bad smell in your nose. She soon began to grin in a very odd fasion and looked to the boy, "Hmm Mistress huh? Bah, the b***h hasn't done so much as give us a second glance. I could care less what she does or doesn't do. I'll do things just like I did them back in Suna. I'll live the way I want to live. If she has a problem with that she can come take it up with me her damn self."

A rebel...a resistance to authroity. THis would probably get her into heaps of trouble in the 'by the book' Kiri but she didn't care. She liked the town...well the area t any place. If she found that the people didn't agree with her...well...she could always use more people to play with. She then turned her attention to batou and grinned again, "So, I figured since I'm new, you should show me around. I get bored easily and if you like half the town not being turned into puppets against their will, I suggest you entertain me." The last part was said very sweetly but if anyone knew here would tell you, the sweeter she sounded, the more sincer she was about her threats.
