does anybody here think that Ritsuka really has 2 personalitys? 2 spirits? or just the theory what the therapist said? (that his personality changed when loosing his memories)
never really occured to me untill the last Zero sum chapter.

I think it's because he thinks Seimei's dead, just finished the manga, and that he don't want to deal with that pain. I know it's been two years while the manga and anime take place at, but it's still something to really think about. His mother don't like the 'new' Ritsuka, and goes balistic. She believes that the real 'Ritsuka' will return, and thus this is placed into his mind that he's not the 'real Ritsuka'. So he takes her beatings, believing that she will go easier on him. She almost kills him in the manga at least once and that would be enough for me to think "Where's CPS?" But then, it's fiction, so I wouldn't expect it too much... Back to the theory, Seimei's disapperance caused Ritsuka to fall into this 'depression'.

Ritsuka probable only had one personality to begin with but since his mind went through such a shock when his brother died I believe he started to lose his mind but he was still himself. But since his mother is crazy and believes that he isn't her 'real' son I think it's now engraved in his brain that he has two personalites and that he's a fake when he really isn't. And I believe that maybe......just maybe from going throught such shock and his mother calling him fake that he might have developed another personality but hey what do I know?

His amnesia-shock could have rid him of whatever influences he had as a child, and without those, he can't be who he was. I think because his memories went away, his personality was reset. He couldn't be who he was, so his mother rejected him, and that influenced him to be the Ritsuka he is now, as well as whatever else happened afterwards.

I think that he is still the same as he was two years ago. But after repeatdly hearing his mother say that hes not the real Ritsuka he just began to belive it himself.

I think it's completely and entirely plausible that Ritsuka has two personalities, because there actually is a mental disease known as multiple personalities. However different the cases may seem, I believe the two personalities.

I just think that hes trying to avoid his real feelings, so he put on another personality to try to bolck them out so that they never come and he dosen't have to think about it.

i think that after going through the shock of sumone dieing anyone would gradually change + his losing his memories would also effect his personality, i just think that his mother was what made it worse by saying that it suddenly wasn't the same kid, making rits feel lost.

i think its just his way of dealing with Seimei's death... it hurts so bad that he ... made himself forget. you know how people tend to forget or suppress painful memories?... he just doesn't want to be reminded of the person his brother loved dearly and ... he "made" this new one that he is now.. its all in the head. neutral

I used to think that to but Ritsuka lost his memeorys before Seimei died, its all in the story and everything!
otherwise Seimei wouldent of been there for him when Misaki beat him up, and Ritsuka would of forgotten Seimei to.
