yeah when you read this I bet most of you thought, Jann Lee and Gen Fu right? WRONG!!!
The two Jackie Chan tribute characters in DOA are Brad Wong and Christie, yes surprisingly Christie. Brad Wong uses a style Jackie Chan invented for the movie Drunken Master, and Christie uses a style called the Snakes fist Jackie Chan also invented for the movie he made before Drunken Master called Snake in the Eagles Shadow, in that movie at the end Jackie Chan creates a different style which is similiar to Gen Fu's called Cat Claw but Jackies master in the movie renamed it Snake in Eagles Shadow

I always though Jann Lee was based on Bruce Lee. In one of the guide book thingies, it says his style, Jeet Kune Do, is the same one used by Bruce Lee.

What do you mean by "invented". As in the movie he invented or in real life invented?

A friend told me about this actually. The very beginning of martial arts began with 5 styles of kung-fu. I can't quite remember what the 5 animals were that the styles were based off of but I think it goes like: Tiger, Snake, Heron, Mantis, and monkey. I researched it once but those 5 styles themselves were coppied and renamed (panther style for example). Each style mimics the movement and thoughts of the animals' way of hunting or surviving in the wild.
Also, Brad's style is actually a refelction of various gods of the drink. Just think about his stances and then go to wikipedia and look up Brad Wong 3nodding
Edit: Jackie Chan has also used an extensive amount of martial srts styles in all his movies.

Yeah, I'd haev to agree. The only 'true' tribute to Jackie Chan is Lei Wulong from Tekken.
As a side note, Lion Rafale (Virtua Fighter) uses the Mantis style Kung Fu. But, that doesn't make him a Jackie Chan tribute.
