Just the other day, each of you recieved a mysterious letter. Each of you recieved a mysterious knock at your door (even Star d'Phiarlan, deep within the House Phiarlan enclave). When answered, it was a House Orien courier with a letter addressed to you. The letter read as follows:

You do not know me, but I know you very well. I have been watching you for a long time and I know where your path leads. I know you are looking for work right now, and I offer you an opportunity. You must go to the Cornerstone district in Middle Tavick's Landing. There you will find a tavern called Tooth and Nail. Sit on the table in the far northwest corner of the tavern. I will tell you more when you get there. There may be others joining you. Get to know them, for they may just save your life one day.

The Tooth and Nail is a rough and tumble tavern in Cornerstone. It seems most of its patrons are shifters, but you see a few members of other races in here. A large but jovial-looking shifter stands behind the bar wiping glasses.

Star walked into the tavern and looked around. Spying the table the letter had mentioned, she walked over and sat down with her back to the corner, so that she could see the rest of the room, including the door.
I wonder when these "others" will get here. she thought as she settled down to wait. And what all this is about.

The shifter behind the bar puts down the glass he was wiping and walks over to the table. His thick brown hair, which matches the fur on his forearms, is tied in a ponytail behind his head. He wears a simple linen tunic and breeches, and a brown full apron. He smiles at Star, his sharp canine teeth coming into view. "The name's Boz. I'm the owner of this here place. What can I get ya, missy?"

Walking into the tavern and spotting what looks like a bartender and some elf. The elf is sitting meaning she probably recieved the letter, but just in case. stare "'Ello 4laugh ! I'm a travelling merchant o' sorts, I deal in magial items of all variety. Anything I can interest you today? Or perphaps something you can interest me?" stare

Boz turns around, his look quizzical. He scratches the fur on the side of his face and asks, "Eh? You an artificer? Funny you show up now. I put an order with House Cannith weeks ago, and still haven't recieved my decanter of endless water... If you could perhaps whip one up or get one somewhere, it'd help a lot. Put me on the level of those adventurers' taverns over in nearby Deathsgate. I'd pay, of course."
((to make a decanter of endless water, you have to be level 7 (9 if you weren't an artificer) and have Craft Wondrous Item... you get that as a bonus feat at level 3 though.))

Nerezza walked into the tavern and spotted the table to which she was invited. There she saw an elf, a human, and a shifter that looked like a bartender. She walked over to the table and introduced herself.
"I'm Nerezza Dellanotte. I was invited here by someone."
She looked suspiciously at the bartender, not wanting to give away much information.
"Which of you were invited also?"
Nerezza looks at the bartender again, and reluctantly pulls out the piece of parchment that she had recieved as she sat down next to the elf.

Boz looked over his shoulder at Star and nodded. "Alright, missy, comin' right up."
Just then, a crack of thunder sounds outside, and the sound of rain commences. It's a powerful rain, pelting at the windows of the tavern.
Boz chuckles, then says, "Looks like the month of Eyre is livin' up to the name of the wettest month... I swear it musta rained at least six times in the past couple a weeks."

Dwayna DragonFire Nerezza walked into the tavern and spotted the table to which she was invited. There she saw an elf, a human, and a shifter that looked like a bartender. She walked over to the table and introduced herself. " I'm Nerezza Dellanotte. I was invited here by someone." She looked suspiciously at the bartender, not wanting to give away much information. " Which of you were invited also?" Nerezza looks at the bartender again, and reluctantly pulls out the piece of parchment that she had recieved as she sat down next to the elf. " My name is Star d'Phiarlan." she said, barely opening her mouth and speaking so quietly that it was almost impossible to hear as she took her letter out of her pocket, showed it to Nerezza, and put it up.

Dínenél entered the bar, his eyes skimmed over the poorly lit faces, he walked forward and sat down at a table close to Nerezza, he eyed her close then he eyed the room. He then spoke "Thy name is Dínenél Ornae do you know why i was sent here?"

Nerezza looks over at Dínenél.
"It's nice to meet you too. No, unfortunately, I don't know why we were sent here, but apparently, we should be finding out soon."

Boz returns to the table holding a wooden cup of steaming tea. He grins and says to Star, "It's my favorite tea. Made from leaves from my native land, the Eldeen Reaches." He looks at the two half-elves sitting at the table. "Well, howdy friends. I ain't seen this many non-shifters in here for a while now. How can I help ya? You interested in anything to drink?"
Another clap of thunder is heard outside.
