Foul creatures of haunted legends stalk city streets in search of prey. A handful of protectors, the so-called Shadow Chasers, band together to stop the evil tide that only they can perceive.
Night falls, and the world prepares to sleep. It will be a troubled sleep, however, tormented by nightmares made all the more terrifying because they are real. Monsters prey upon the weak, the innocent, and the lost. Monsters do exist. You know it now. It's a fact you've come to understand on a profound level. Somewhere deep inside, you've always known it. Now you also believe it.
Whether it's a vampire, werewolf, beholder, troll or wyvern threatening the populace, you are the city's only defense from the dark side of reality, and you've come prepared.

You are the members of the elite team called The Shadow Chasers. Gathered by the secret Fellowship to battle The Shadow and his minions. You all have had some experience with the supernatural world normal people do not believe exists, and have been chosen by The Fellowship for your special experience.
The Shadow Chasers will be 4th level characters. The first 3 levels should be in a D20 Modern class, with the 4th level being in a Shadow Chasers Advanced class! Both class types are covered in the Shadow Chasers supplement offered above.
Basically, the choices are The Mage (Smart Hero), The Mentor (Smart/Dedicated Hero), The Shadow Slayer (Fast/Strong Hero), The Soldier (Strong Hero) or The Thief (Fast Hero). You can also opt for the Charismatic Hero, but there is no Shadow Chasers advanced class for this. Anyone familiar with Nightbane or Beyond the Supernatural will find this game familiar.
If you'd like a premade character just let me know which class. If you give me a description or character idea I can customize it for you 3nodding You can go ahead and post finished characters right in this thread, I'll PM you if you need to make any changes.
Also, since this is a modern campaign, the D20 Modern SRD may come in handy too. The basic classes, feats, skills and equipment are covered here, though the Shadow Chasers book (above) has more feats and the Advanced Classes for this game.
The D20 Modern Character Generator may also come in handy, though some of the Shadow Chasers classes are not there, you can still use it make a 3rd level character, then add the final level yourself.
