So what do you like to do in our environment? Personally, I am a hiker and mountain-biker, hitting the trails with a mountain bike and bringing my camera along is something neato. So what do you enjoy?

I enjoy pretty much the same; hiking and whatnot. Writing about nature is also a favorite of mine, like going out to a favorite spot and just writing down everything I see while being really descriptive(It helps a lot when coming up with scenes for stories!).
I wish I could do rock climbing or hike a mountain, but I'm not really in great shape, though it's my goal. One of these days I'll be able to do a mountain-peak hike.

Well, I train sport horses anyway, so trail riding has always been a favorite of mine. Along with getting to be out on the trails in the woods, it's great for their sanity (too much arena work can make them sour and resentful, and when you have a 1200 lb. animal resenting having to work with them, it makes your job A LOT harder), and really helps improve their fitness with the hill work. They have to get used to "scary" things, like birds flying out of bushes, and wing coming through the trees, all in all, it's one of the best things for them. I try to take as many of my horses out as often as I can.
Along with that, I love to hike, I love to swim, but only in lakes and rivers. I hate pools. I didn't used to, but I really can't stand them anymore. I do a lot of camping (or used to, before I got a job. *hates job*), and a lot of times I just like taking a book out somewhere away from people and sitting and reading for a few hours. Or just meditating, I do that a lot too.

Mountains. I love to hike up down and through the mountains. That and just plain old camping wherever I can. By the way, if anyone needs any advice on what gear to buy, pack, whatever for a trip, send me a PM. The reason I wasn't on all summer was because I had gotten a job at a local outdoors store, selling all kinds of stuff to people. Heh, I'm going back over christmas break to work there again. I don't need the money, I just loved working there.

If you ever get the chance to travel to the swiss alps, don't hesitate, just go. It is the most beautiful place I've ever seen before, it's really great.

I LIKE TO CONSERVE IT. GARDENING AND WORKING IN THE WOODS TO BRING THE FORESTS BACK TO BETTER CONDITIONS.
THE PROPERTY WE OWN NOW WAS CUT AND BASICALLY ABUSED, IT HAS MADE A WONDERFUL COME BACK THOUGH, THERE IS STILL EVIDENCE OF THE SKIDDERS THAT HAD CAME THOUGH YEARS AGO, BUT EVERYTHING IS GROWING BEAUTIFULLY. I AM SERIOUSLY CONSIDERING GOING INTO FOREST RECLAIMATION AFTER HIGH SCHOOL AND MAYBE DO AN ENVIROMENTALLY FRIENDLY TYPE OF LANDSCAPING.

I'm thinking about going into that. It's basically where you do tests to see the forests' conditions and offer solutions to the problems.
Of course, there's always other majors in environmentology (hehe I just made up that word on the spot...): conservation biology, environmental science, and natural resources and conservation.

I love to go to the nature park near my house and hike around there, I also love to pan for gold there. I always collect aluminum cans on the way up and back, and now it is currently too cold here to do all that, so I am waiting for Spring!
