I. started this thread because I just wanted to introduce people to its greatness?

... Ok well it's Kage's new crack series after Prince of Tennis ended. -_-

Taken from Anime News Network because my summary wouldn't do it justice.
Plot Summary: On the first day of high school a beautiful girl named Haruhi Suzumiya introduces herself as having "no interest in ordinary humans". She asks for any aliens, time travelers, sliders or espers to join her. Watching her weird behaviour is Kyon a boy who sits in front of Haruhi and is the only person who talks to her. Commenting on Haruhi's joining every club in school and then quitting Kyon unwittingly gives Haruhi an idea to start her own after school club. Thereafter Kyon and several others find themselves literally dragged into the Save our world by Overloading it with fun Suzumiya Haruhi's Brigade (the S.O.S. Brigade for short).

Anyways to those who have seen it, I'm still confused on te relationship between Yuki and Kyon. I mean, why would she listen to him?

Great series. The last episode should be torrented sometime w/in the next week or so, which means fans (or maybe just me) will be able to watch the episodes chronologically after seeing them in the disassociated order they were aired. Not dissing the aired order, I think it helped the series a bit, and made it loads more suprising at points.

The series itself is loads of fun, and it's a good light-hearted series to segue into the summer with.

I think Yuki listens to Kyon because she realizes that he's the key to Haruhi. He's levelheaded where Haruhi tends to be more impulsive. Or maybe it's just her orders.

I think he does. Reason being... the movie they made. It's a story about aliens, espers, and time travelers. With all the club members playing their actual part.

Though I suppose it was "Haruhi-ed up" a bit in the translation.
