For those of you who are starting out, here are some tips to help you manage your empyrean so that you get the best results possible.
1. Every Empyrean starts the role play waking up in their dorm room and wondering where they are. They will find the settings they see familiar, and they may pick up knowledge as if they remembered it even though the things they feel they are 'remembering' are entirely new facts to them. You may have your Empyrean react to these feelings in any way you choose, but keep in mind no Empyrean ever has recollections of a family or life outside the city, so no pining for home or relations.
2. When you head to class, you'll be joining whatever class is in progress. You may say, "But if my Empyrean needs to attend every class how will I transcend?" I will be NPCing the professors so that every class is run through in a loop.
3. Keep track of what classes you have attended in your journal. I will refer to your journal to make sure you've been to each class. Please keep this up to date, as when the threads get longer, it can become a real hassel to make sure that all the classes have in fact been attended. You can do so in the simple way, by merely keeping a checklist, and marking off the classes attended as you roleplay your attendance. If you wish to have more involvement with your empyrean, you can keep a journal, either of your Empyrean's response to the teachers or the material, or keep notes of things you have learned.
4. You must attend every class at least once, and have visited the teacher's lounge at least once and/or participated in a special event at least once to transcend to first level. When you feel you've filled these requirements, please PM me, and I will review your journal. ^^
5. Please post any prizes you win from special events somewhere in your journal thread. This is a bookmark of your activity with the guild, and looks good on your resume.
6. You will be using the same thread throughout your empyreans stages, so my suggestion is to block off the entire front page of your thread because you might want those extra posts later for you later stages. ^^
7. If in doubt, follow the format of the others who are already playing. And of course, ASK QUESTIONS! I love answering queries, so if you aren't sure, ask, and then you will be able to post in confidence...
