Would they still be as interesting, and us as in to them, without the magic? Like, if they were just two friends who went to British boarding schools together, with no magic, werewolves, Voldemort, etc?
I think so. For me, anyway, I have my own reasons for liking that pairing. Anyway, half of the fanfiction stories rely very little on magic as a plot device.
What does everyone else think?

I'd still love it. It wouldn't be the same without the werewolf appeal, but still, it's the people I like, not what they do.

stare I sincerely doubt it would be a little harder without Silence Charms and lube charms. Considering smut isn't the only thing you can write about these two. It's not about the sex. Besides, a good author can write anything they put their mind to. Including gay sex that doesn't involve magic.

I'd definently still love their coupling. Yeah I'd admitt it wouldn't be the same with out Magic. But it's just their personalities that make it interesting.

I agree with Remus, smut isn't the only thing, there relationship would have many other things in it then sex. A good writer CAN write a good story without that. Me I think its there whole relationship, there in denial most of the time, and that and the fangirls of Sirius.

I'm actually a big fan of a fanfic called Dr. Lupin MA in which Sirius and Remus have very little to do with magic. Albeit, it is still there, but it seldom shows up. I still love them. I'm much more interested in those two for their personalities and character development than the magic.

It's been done in fanfiction. People, sometimes forget to give them magic at all. I'd still like them.

Then God said... I would think that their relationship would be easier without the whole magical aspect. Of course, the war with Voldemort could be the war in Vietnam (after all England helped us in Vietnam). ...and the people rejoiced and listened to His word.

I believe that I would still love Remus and Sirius without the magic (hey, they make their own heart and oh God, do they ever make it... heh) but I dunno... without all that angst about the Voldemort thing, who was the spy and without Sirius pulling that prank on Snape and Moony... I definitelly like them better with the magic... who knows what it would be like otherwise... Maybe a prank of a completely different nature?

I'd still love them. Now I want to find an alternate universe fanfiction using this plot--wouldn't that be interesting? Anybody know of any?
