no, the orb will still be around and they'll fiddle with it occaisionally, but she'll find something else. Maybe DB will give us a throwaway-out of plotline comic where she tries different objects before settling on one or just doing without.

Hmmm...
I bet the Cyborg chick was programmed at Astomos's to carry the orb and only obey him and Zerachiel. When Delthalus found her, he made have reprogrammed her to have free will, and she chose against Atomos.
That scene with the other occupants of the house complaining about the noise from the battle might be Delthalus reprogramming her farther, and possibly fixing some damage.
So I doubt that she'd be carrying anything now.
