Assuming Sirius hadn't died in OoTP, do you think Sirius and Remus would have lasted as a couple? I mean, we don't know what's going to happen yet in book seven. But assuming Remus doesn't die and Voldemort is defeated, what would happen next? Would they come out to everyone? Have some kind of wedding?
Can anyone else see Sirius and Remus as old, old men still together and in love? You know, I kind of can. Too bad it didn't work out that way in the books sad

I do. I saw a lot of bumps along the way. Twelve years in Azkaban left its mark on Sirius, but I saw it. It's only of my resentments toward JoK that Sirius never had the chance to really live after Azkaban.

Exactly! We never got to see how he would have been as a free man, post Voldemort and war. I agree, Azkaban left him pretty damaged, but with time who knows how he would have done? But again, we'll never know sad

Yes, I have to say, that i would see Remus and Sirius together forever. They probably would have some sort of binding ceremony. Am I interrupting?

I think Azkaban would definently leave things a little shakey but I think eventually it would fall back into to place.

I agree with neko as well, and pretty much everyone else in this thread.
Azkaban left some scars, but hey... its Moony and Padfoot. I believe they could have survived if Sirius wasn't dead.

I think that their love for each other is strong enough to overcome whatever obstacles would happen... their personalities are so contradictory that if one gave up, the other would support them, always.

Azkaban was very hard, but if they can get through that, they can get through anything. heart

Oh, I'm sure they'd last. If they could overcome Azkaban, no hurdle is too great. I can really picture them as old men together, sharing secret smiles and being gossiped about in town. Now I'm going to cry because Sirius is dead and it can't happen.
And Tonks is absolutely awful for taking advantage of poor Remmy when he's still vulnerable from Sirius' death.

theres only one thing i can say about tonks, SHES A WHORE!!! ok i feel better xd . i follow the whole mate for life thing. remus belongs with sirius and sirius belongs to remus simply put. there is nothing that can stop a love so stong as theirs. even death b/c we all kno that one would find a way to be wit the other. even if that means breaking some rules. but there love survived through azkaban.if it can survive that then there love can survive anything. i can really see them growing old wit each other.
