Okay, for now I'll start this in here, and if the campaign gets moving, I'll get my own subforum and move there. I'm going to try to start up a campaign. It's going to be Forgotten Realms, and you're all living in Waterdeep for now. You can come from wherever you want, you can be new to Waterdeep. You can be there for any reason, just put it in your character background. I require your character have some background, especially since you're starting at 5th level. I'll put all the info you need for your character in a list, but I'm only playing with 4 people, so it's on a first submitted basis. PM me with your character, and I'll post it here.
Character Requirements
*Level 5 (no level adjustments allowed)
*Races out of the PHB or FR book, but no planetouched or other characters with level adjustments. Only those two books, no others.
*Classes out of the PHB only. Prestiege classes are allowed with permission, but at lvl 5 there are few if any available to you.
*Stats are 4 D6, three highest, reroll 1s and 2s, and reroll highest. This usually helps keep stats close, while taking into account high stat rollers (like a friend of mine, and lately myself)
*Character backgrounds are a must. Your 5th level, your characters haven't just started out, they've been around and done things.
*Nothing out of a magazine or website is allowed, unless it's copied directly from a book. I've seen friends look at some things on the internet that were way overpowered. It's easier to just ban all of them.
*Alignment must not be lower than True Neutral. I prefer to play with good characters, unless I'm playing a pure evil campaign, but this isn't such. And even a Chaotic Neutral character could cause some problems.
*Starting Gold=9,000gp
*1 Free Masterwork Simple Weapon (except double weapons)
Okay, I think that's it. Anything I forgot, or any questions in general, just give me a PM and I'll answer it. You can decide if you know any of the other PCs or not, but you both have to be in agreement, don't just spring it on them hehe. As I said, you all live in Waterdeep, but if you want to have just moved there, feel free. Pick whatever region you want.
*EDIT* I just realized I didn't say anything about gold. Standard Starting Gold for 5th level (9,000 gp) AND, since I'm putting so many limits, you can have a free masterwork Simple weapon. No double weapons though (which is pretty much just the quarterstaff.) only because in essence that would be getting two free masterwork weapons, which wouldn't be very fair. I'll put this info up there too.

I've modified my character's ability scores because the highest was only 13.

A Cleric perhaps? Or paladin?
Only problem is I don't really know anything about Forgotten Realms and nearly every damn campaign I've seen on Gaia is Forgotten Realms. Yours seems to be less into the world though.

Sorry, with the lack of activity in the guild, or anywhere, I haven't really been paying much attention to this. I want this to be good, so I'm going to put alot of work into it, and I want to know that the players will be able to show up too. If there's still 4 people who want to play, let me know and I'll get back to writing something up.
And Dwayna, Be whatever you want. I'm not going to make this uber tough, and for the most part, I'm going to make it around what my group is. I want this to be fun for everyone, so I'm not going to like, pounce on your weaknesses and such. Besides, there's always multiclassing! hehe.

Okay, the two people who's character's I've already accepted, you have until Monday August 7th to respond so I know you're still around. Afterwards, I will replace the characters. So anyone who wants to join, post your characters even if there are already 4 accepted. And I'll start to plan things out.

I'm interested in joining and playing a Moon Elf Monk from the Order of the Shining Hand, I just need to know if I could use a preticular feat for my character. I know your restricting other things from outside sources but I just want to bring this in question for my character out of Dragon Magazine (and the Dragon Compendium - Volume 1) - Kung Fu Genius
Kung Fu Genius [General]
Some styles of martial arts require the student to memorize advanced medical text's and anatomical charts. These styles favor the intellectual over the introspective.
Prerequisites: Int 13, must be gained at or before the first level of the monk class is taken
Benefit: You use your Intelligence modifier rather then Wisdom modifier for all monk special abilities that normally rely on Wisdom.
Being the Order of the Shining Hand allows multiclassing into Wizard without violating the Ex-Monk status, it would help. Just asking.
[Edit : Wondering about it so I know which Feat I'm taking at the Lv1 start of the character. If you allow, then that's the feat, if not it'll probably be something along the lines of Mind over Body]

It's alright, I was just wondering if I could do so. Makes the built of my character a bit more difficult but I'll be fine
