Towards the higher altitudes of the Mountain along the northern edging is a small cave. Even just outside the mouth of this cave, the temperature drops significantly. Upon first glance, one can already tell that the cave lives up to its name as ?The Ice Caves,? for icicles hang down from the top of the cave and protrude from the ground. No matter the temperature outside, the temperature within the cave always remains the same.
As one wanders deeper into the cave, the temperature only seems to grow colder. Some of the more sensitive kitsusagi can not handle this frigid cold, despite the comfort of their warm fur. Those that manage to make it towards the deepest parts of the cave will be able to hear a faint dripping sound, though the source is difficult to pinpoint. Yet at this part of the cave, one can find two icicles, one protruding from the ground, and the other from the ceiling, positioned in such a manner that they nearly touch each other. There is a small gap between the two, almost as if something belonged there prior. Only those who had been present would realize this place is where the Air kitsusagi was born into this world.
