Ok, guys. You all know how I loathe friendslist PMs, however...this message needs to get out to the people who need to know about it most--the people of the 'net.
There is a bill that just past in the House, as of Thrusday...
About regualting the internet, by the the companies that provide them, in the same way Cable, Newspapers, and Radio are regulated.
This means many things.
First of all, it means the internet can be censored by whichever company you get it from by allowing the website or making it much slower to get to.
With such control, companies can easily restrict what you read and see online. Such as if it's news about how bad the company is, you just could never hear about it again.
Another thing is about profits. One thing that can happen is websites that have the cash can pay top dollar to make sure they get fast loading times, and be able to get to you faster...while smaller ones suffer.
Because of what the bill is, there is little mention of it in newspapers, tv, radio, and so fourth...Because those are control by the same people who wish to control the internet. Sadly, the only place you can find out much about the bill is on the internet. Ironic, eh?

My friends, and enemies, I beg, do not discard this. Send it about. There are too amny things going wrong in this world, particularly our little westeren half of it. I do not appreciate my privacy being invaded as with the earlier bill, and now, my knowladge is limited thanks to the aforementioned bill. We must fight this. If our posterity is to have any hope of living in a world where pain is a rarity, love is a given, and live is widly enjoyed; then we must make it happen ourselves. We have litle or no hope of living this way. The choices of our forbears and ourselves have made this true no matter how unfair it is. We have chosen the fact (Through inaction, misaction, or mistruth) that we are doomed to end and be terminated in eternal dissatisfaction.
But there is hope. We ay not be able to have this saisfaction, but we can make DAMN sure that our descendants may. That will be our satisfaction if we can fight for it. It may not be our children. Thier children. Or thier children's Children, but if we work, become strong, and teach our children these things and other personal lessons; A future generation may gain this thing, this... Nirvana. Perfect existance. Happiness given at birth.
Please. Feel free to PM me and speak to others like you. Alone, we are hopeless. Together; we are assured. You are not without kindred minds and spirits.
