English with a focus on creative writing. (I've got a lot of music major friends. I used to be a "band groupie" in high school. xd )

One of my good friends here at college is and English major. Though that must be a lot of work (I know my practicing is)

::sigh:: I'm a junior in highschool and have no idea what I want to major in. I guess I have some what of an idea, but very little of one. I love science and anatomy and the human body in general. I hate working person to person because humans, as a whole, drive me crazy. I love the human mind and its working, I just hate the fact that people can be such idiots. I can analyze anyone with in the first few minutes that I meet them and can have a pretty good idea of their personality by watching the way they move, talk, walk, and act. So yeah. Dont know what I can go into. Confuzed beyond all reason simply because there are so many different fields out there. Got any input?

UnwingedAngel: Psychology or Psychiatry. Psychiatry requires a lot more work though.
As for English, I would have to say being an English major is pretty hard, contrary to what my boyfriend believes. You really have to have a good understanding of the english language and a wide knowledge of what has been published in the past. Then, when you write, you have to come up with something original (thus the reason to know what has already been done) and over all, it is really a lot of think work. Then, once you've got something great down on paper, there's the pain of trying to find someone who will publish... if you can find someone else who doesn't think your work is crap, you're doing good. But all the rejection you get... eesh.

I study life and people. It is funny what you see when people don't think anyone is looking. Plus it gives a better insight to the "real" them 3nodding Of course, I don't go out just to watch people, it just ends up that way. It may not be a study worthy of a degree, but I have learned much.

Welcome to the land of Social Science. Anthropology and Sociology are closely tied together. As an anthropology you mainly study people and make interpretations. While there is some advocacy, that mainly comes into play in sociology where you try to further knowledge of human behavior and how to help people.
Unwinged biology is a well paying field where comparative anatomy and stuff like that comes in handy. You can also avoid people. I'd say Psychology may be a good choice as well, but that has people involved.
