Hello all. What do you think of acid and latin jazz? I got a cd of acid jazz, it's pretty good. It's various artists, I'll list a few. Colonel Abrams, The Quiet Boys, Ace of Clubs, and Stone Cold Boners.
I also have a funky CD (I think funk is a branch off of jazz), it has various artists as well. It gives the title to The Highlighters Band (Funky 16 Corners).
The only latin-like jazz songs I have are on a cd "Get in the swing" by Inner Swing, I went to a concert, and I loved it, so I got the CD!
Ever heard of any of these? It's okay if you haven't, they're kind of obscure; underground. Yeah. So, what latin/acid jazz and/or funk do you like? xd

Latin jazz, yes, of course. Playing a really cool tune right now- Malaguena. And of course, the Manteca thread is pretty latin beat. Acid jazz. I suspect I listen to it, but I'm not sure..exactly how it's defined, so I couldn't really say.

I rather like acid jazz, although I don't own very many CD's. I need to go on a music buying spree.

I love Latin Jazz, it's the best! What's that song.." A night in Tunsia"? Sorry, it's late and I'm out of it... sweatdrop Anyway it kinda has a Latin feel to it, I did a flute solo on that, twas lovely. ^^ The only thing about real Latin jazz is that it's a bit trick with all of the off beat rythms especially when you're just starting jazz.

i like latin jazz, mostly cuz of the kongas in the background sweatdrop but i think that its a really unique style of jazz cuz of the different things that you can do with the rhythem and the different things that you can use in the percussion parts 3nodding 4laugh
