Setting Up Your Own RP Thread/RP Thread Directory

For those of you interested in starting your own RP thread, you have two options. You can either go for a free thread in the main guild forum or you can ask us to set up a subforum for you for a donation of 2500 gold. That's what it costs us to make a subforum; we're not trying to rip you off.

Free Thread
1. Make a new topic in the main guild forum announcing your RP, including setting, RP rules, and any other information. This will be your main RP thread. PM a guild mod and ask them to make it a sticky for you.
2. Create another new topic to use as a character profile directory and link to it in the introductory post of your RP thread.
3. If desired (recommended for very active RPs), create a new topic to use as a summary thread and link to it in the introductory post of your RP thread.
4. Create a post in this directory to announce and advertise your RP thread. Use no more than three images in your advertisement, no more than 500 pixels wide. You may link any additional images. Be sure to include a brief description of your RP and a link to your RP thread.
5. If you have a signature or banner image, post it to the signature images thread along with code linking to your RP thread. Keep in mind that only members can post, so you'll want to include in your RP threads rules and regs post information on how to apply and join, including a link to the guild rules and regulations thread.
6. When you are ready to make this an official RP and would like a subforum of your own. All of the threads can be moved to that subforum after its creation, so please do not think you will be stuck in the main forum, or that you will have to start again when in your own sub-forum.

Subforum
1. PM either Tai Hiroji or Jaysen88 with a name for and short description of your planned RP subforum.
2. After getting preliminary approval from one of the above, donate 2500 gold to the guild to cover the cost of your subforum. PM the person who approved you to let them know the funds are available.
3. Once your subforum appears in the guild, make a new topic in the main guild forum announcing your RP, including setting, RP rules, and any other information. Direct them to your subforum for further information.
4. In your subforum, create a new topic to be your main RP thread. You may include your setting information and rules if you wish. If authorized to do so, make this an announcement, or PM one of us to do it for you.
5. In your subforum you may also wish to create the following: a seperate rules and join procedure thread (announcement); a character profile directory (sticky); a roleplay summary thread (sticky).
6. Post your announcement and advertisement for your RP in this thread, using no more than three images no more than 500 pixels wide. Additional images may be linked. Include a brief description of your RP subforum and a link to either your rules and join procedure thread or your main RP thread.
7. If desired, post any signature or banner images in the signature images thread in the main guild forum, along with code to link to your subforum. Keep in mind that only members may post, so put information in whichever thread you link to on how to join and a link to the main guild rules and regulations thread.
8. PM Tai Hiroji or Jaysen88 with a small banner (200x40) and description to be listed on the home page of the forum.
9. Keep in mind that subforums are also required to abide by Gaia's rules and TOS.

Okay, here's some common classifications you may want to understand when making your RP thread or looking for one to join.

Shounen-Ai: No sexual situations beyond hand-holding and kissing, no nudity. Also known as BL, Boy-Boy, and Boy Love. Usually involves younger characters, or adult semes and underage ukes.

Lime: No sexual situations beyond heavy petting, no penetration, only partial nudity. Usually involves teenagers or adults, lots of romance and seduction attempts between knowing semes and clueless ukes.

Lemon: Full sexual situations and nudity. Focuses on seduction plots and adult situations. GRAPHIC RP BEYOND PG13 DOES NOT GO IN GUILD POSTS, TAKE IT TO PM!

Fetish: Extreme sexual situations, including slavery, bondage, violence, bestiality, furrylove, and forced sexual situations. GRAPHIC RP BEYOND PG13 DOES NOT GO IN GUILD POSTS, TAKE IT TO PM!

Realistic: A setting that is compatible with the real world. No fantasy races or bizarre technology.

Real Fantasy: Fantasy races allowed, but the setting is in the real world (think like Buffy the Vampire Slayer).

Full Fantasy: A setting that is not in the real world and allows whatever fantasy creatures will work in its system.

Seme: A character with dominant tastes. In American lingo, a top.

Uke: A character with submissive tastes, a bottom. May or may not know their sexuality.

Semke: A character who can act as either top or bottom.

X: Sexual roleplay using fictional characters not originally written as gay from manga, anime, video games, films, or any other media. The Seme is listed before the X, the Uke after, ie SeiferXSquall would be Seifer as the top, Squall as the bottom.

Slash: Sexual roleplay using real people, such as movie stars or athletes. Written similarly to X, only with a '/', ie: Hugh Jackman/Edward Furlock. Sometimes characters who are from film or television are considered slash instead of X, as in Wolverine/Angel.

Original setting: A setting created by the RP players.

Alternate Universe: A setting based on an existing world, either reality or from a published work, that allows RPers to create new situations and storylines.

Crossover: A setting that involves mixing settings from published works.

THE GENTLEMANS CLUB is a Yaoi Slave RP with a real fantasy setting in Malibu, California. Come join the mystery and seduction at Orion Mansion. Lemon and fetish warning, fantasy races allowed.

Atop the cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean, somewhere north of Malibu, California, sits a large and tasteful mansion, the sort of place that could put your average real estate agent on the Forbes 500 list. This exclusive property is not for sale, however. It is owned by an enigmatic gentleman by the name of Logan Orion, known to the public as the gay man's Hugh Heffner, CEO of the highly profitable corporations Orion Publishing and Logan Adult Films.

What is kept from society, however, is that Orion Mansion caters to a much more specialized, and less legal, form of entertainment. Those wealthy, influential, powerful, or beautiful enough to gain a key to Orion Mansion's heavily guarded gates can find a lovely selection of slaves kept on the beautifully groomed grounds, for hire or purchase. Few ever ask where the slaves come from, and Logan merely answers those who do inquire with a secretive smile. There are even rumors that not all of the clientele, or all of the slaves, for that matter, are human.

Sukoshi High School

Sukoshi Academy(High School) is a Realistic Lemon Yaoi roleplay, with normal school settings. Humans only, though some 'powers' are allowed.

Sukoshi High School is a strictly boy's school, where the elite and not so elite come together to forge bonds of friendship, trust, and even love. Opened by an unknown sponsor and run by an unknown personal, it remains a mysterious but very prestigious school. It has a sister college that remains under construction and is not availible at this time.

Students are within the grade levels 9 through 12, allowing them to be between the ages of 14-18. They are smart, or dense, based on each student's individual personality. The differences are vast and each student brings a new piece of the puzzle to the school.

The school is large, very big, and consists of a basement gym inculding a pool and 4 very vast and large locker rooms, 5 floors of all kinds of different classes, a roof floor that has the cafeteria, and a giant track and open field. Old but beautiful willow trees coat the school's large fence line as if gaurding the students with a purity that cannot be touched, and the grass is as beautiful and fresh as it comes, coating the campus with a soothing scent meant to comfort and please.

Behind the school and across the large and very extensive courtyard, lies a three story apartment building meant to be used for dorm so that the students feel as though they are truly home. Most consist of a normal sized livingroom, a small kitchen, a mediocre bathroom, and a large bedroom to be used by the student. Roommates are allowed, but oftenly the students live alone. No rent is required and each student is encouraged to stay as long as they wish, or until they graduate from the school and move on to attend the college.

However, the third floor remains off limits for reasons unknown.
