Hi there I am new here. Anyway here is something to throw out there. Well ghosts can move things and sometimes be seen. So it isn't too out there for a ghost to take on a physical form. I mean if a ghost feeds off heat and life forces to increase he or she's strenght, then if enough energy is collected then a ghost can take on a physical form. Only it cannot keep the physical form for long. What you all think?

Ever hear of ectoplasm? I think its supposed to be like a residual effect of a spirit manifesting? Supposedly it feels like a web. Anyway, I find it very plausible for them to take physical form. In some cases though, they would be more etherial than solid. And the electro magnetic readings that ghost hunters usually look for are an indicator of great energy being used in a spirits manifestation, so....uhm that also supports the theory.

Ghosts are quite capable of taking physical form, however, they rarely manifest as solid objects. Usually, they manifest as a physical aspect, such as a shove or temperature change. While these aspects are physical in nature, they're not full on manifestation. There are few documented cases of ghosts becoming corporeal, but there are countless cases of ghosts manifesting physicality, ranging from holding doors shut and even, in some extreme cases, to attacking people.
Ectoplasm, contrary to popular belief, is not the physical manifestation of a ghost, but the residual leavings of a ghost shifting between 'realities' so to speak. It often appears when a ghost manifests in some physical way. Some have theorized that ectoplasm is pieces of the 'membrane' that seperates the spirit world from the physical. Of course, this is all conjecture.
The most physical of ghosts often cause power fluctuations. It is believed that they drain a lot of energy from surrounding space in manifesting.

its very possible it rarely happens but there have been accounts ok it like there was a reporting of it at the point lookout lighthouse

i dont see why not either. physical matter itself is just condensed energy, you can see for yourself under an electron microscope. reiterating whats already been said, yeah, it would take crazy amounts of energy and control of such to condense it enough to actually become corporeal. crazy i say! but it happens, right?
does anyone have sources for these corporeal ghost stories? id be much interested

stevetom i dont see why not either. physical matter itself is just condensed energy, you can see for yourself under an electron microscope. reiterating whats already been said, yeah, it would take crazy amounts of energy and control of such to condense it enough to actually become corporeal. crazy i say! but it happens, right? does anyone have sources for these corporeal ghost stories? id be much interested Ghosts have been said to be able to manifest physically for as long as there have been ghost stories. Poltergeists are the most common type of physically manifesting spirit. There are stories of ghosts actually walking up and pushing people. The Baleroy house not far from my apartment in Chestnut Hills, outside of Philly, is said to have the spirit of an old woman on the second floor that beats you with a cane. Another entity there tries to throw people down the stairs. People who have encountered the staircase being mentioned that they saw a shadowy shape and felt someone grab them. There are pictures of that one, as a matter of fact.

The second is one of the spirits said to flit through the first floor of the house.

firstly sorry for bumping this p, It just struck my interest.
firstly letme definitively say yes, spirits, can in fact gain a full on corporial form. My freind maddy, who as mentioned in the other thread I posted in, we used to talk, and one time she was able to give her self an image, and then a full form, to give me a hug. we had been talking for hours before hand.
She had to drain me, to give herself an image and form, but she only made me fall asleep. in fact she is here now, not in corporial form, but she's standing here.
