In a lot of ways, RD is like a modern morality tale. After all, don't the characters of Rimmer and Ace show us how our past affects our present? The danger of low self-esteem? How one minor decision can be life-altering? How anyone can change? Doesn't Holly show us that imtelligence and responsibility without humor would be empty and unrewarding? Doesn't Kryten show us that anyone can rise above the station in life they're born into? You must have learned many lessons from RD. Will you share them with the rest of us?

I learned that no matter what happens, I can blame everything my mother and that will make everything all right. I also learned that even if I really suck at something, i can use it to my advantage, like Lister and his guitar. I also learned how to dress with style and that I never want to et into a car acident because I might have to live with a head that looks like Krytens for the rest of my life. whee

If you're ever in front of a Terminator, don't take personal responsibility for anything you can blame on stupidity!

I have learned some new things from RD... for instance, dead guys can be very attractive. mrgreen Also, people who drive you nuts can keep you from going insane when you're the only living person for a trillion mile radius in deep space (Rimmer + Lister). Your own sense of shame can be more damaging to you than your actual involvement in the commission of a crime (Justice and Terrorform). You should be true to yourself, rather than trying to please everyone else all the time (Kryten).
There are probably more that I'm not remembering, but you get the idea. 3nodding

If a job is worth doing right. Don't give it to Rimmer.

You can be an officer without actually passing an exam. If Lister, Rimmer, Cat and Kryten can run the Dwarf and the 'Bug and navigate star systems, so can you!

You shouldn't take the smelly guy who likes curries for granted - he's likely to have hidden talents. ninja
