Based on the game series Devil May Cry (gee what gave that away...).

This RP will consist of:

- SPOILERS UP THE YING YANG!!!! If you haven't beaten any of the games then... well... spoilers for you!

- All characters from game one through three

- Same modern setting as the series

- Timeline from the series is kaput, it wouldn't make sense to have Vergil and Lucia in the same room, considering by the time Lucia comes along in DMC 2, Vergil is dead (or so we think?). So don't worry about so and so not being able to do this or be there because they're dead in that game and such. Every character is alive and able to be RP'd to your hearts delight. Kind of like an alternate universe RP but not... right. Hope I didn't lose you all with that explination, if you want to call it that.

- YAOI! Of course. Also Yuri since there are female characters.

- Having fun! Yay!

RULES:

Okay so technically the words above could be rules... but yeah...

1. Dear god in heaven be able to spell decent enough that I can read what you type! Typos happen, but when every other word is spelt incorrectly there is an issue.

2. Uppercase the first word in a sentence, uppercase your Is and such, I mean... come on now, this is stuff you learned in little person school. I'm not perfect okay, but come on now people.

3. I don't like to have to put minimum for how much you post but sadly I do. At least a paragraph, it can't kill you. When everyone is doing page long posts and then bam, one sentence post... yeah... it makes people cry.

4. Well that seems like enough for now. Don't make me add more.

5. So I lied. If you've read the rules please put 'Vergil eats pancakes', somewhere in your profile that you send me.

Name: gotta have one, names are cool
Age: approximate would be nice
Gender: well even though this will be obvious just humor me
Apperance: picture or discription will do, but no huge pictures of doom
Personality: basic idea of the characters persona
History/ background info: just a little info please, no need to go back into their kindergarden years
Extra tidbits: anything interesting we might want to know?

User ImageCHARACTER PROFILESUser Image

Name: Vergil Sparda
Age: looks around 20-25ish
Gender: male
Apperance:
User Image
~DEVIL TRIGGER FORM~
Personality: cold and serious most of the time, he can let loose once in a great while. Seems to act like the 'older brother' between the two twins, because of his mature nature. Dislikes humans because he finds them weak.
History/ background info: One of the twin sons of Sparda. Always seems to be at odds with his brother Dante, usually fighting with him in some way and seeking to become like his father, at least power wise. Attempted to gain the power of his father from the underworld, but his brother and the meddling of Arkham destroyed that. Only giving him another reason to dislike his brother.
Extra tidbits: he hates modern weapons like guns, always opting to use his katana, Yamato. Considers the sword to be a gentleman's weapon.

Name: Dante Sparda
Age: Approximately in his early 20s to mid 20s
Gender: Male
Apperance: X X
Personality: Dantes personality is probably the opposite of his brother Vergils in every sense of the word. Hes loud, boisterous, and a joker. Most of all, however, he likes to follow in the footsteps his father by battling evil a subject he and his brother probably butt heads with the most often.
History/ background info: Throughout his teenage years, Dante has followed in the footsteps of his father by protecting the human world from demons and evil. The half-demon half-human young man even opened up an investigative agency devoted to helping those with unusual circumstances. That is, until Vergil suddenly appeared and attempted to gain power from the underworld. Luckily for Dante, he was able to stop his brother.
Extra tidbits: N/A

Name: Caprica Kuronamida
Age: 18
Gender: male
Apperance: Caprica is very very pale. So much so that if you weren't standing close to him you might assume he had painted his skin white for some reason. His hair is very straight, and long, down to his backside. It's black. Caprica wears leather. Lots of it. Lots of buckles as well. He commonly wears a thick collar right up to under his chin that hides all of his neck. He also wears a somewhat 'corset-like' affair around his torso which stores lots of nice sharp throwy things. He wears long fingerless gloves with nice little pockets on the backs for storing his 'ninja claw' things. His pants have straps and buckles all the way up his thighs. These straps have convenient pouches on them as well which contained poisoned throwing needles. His boots, which come up to his knees have a line of five curved spikes on each toe for the purpose of climbing things or kicking your a** with. Over all that, he wears a long heavy leather trench coat. It has various blades and fun things hidden in the inner pockets. Oh yeah, he's 5'8" and quite lithe in build. Black eyes with nice raccoon circles around 'em. Caprica
Personality: Caprica doesn't talk. The reason for that is explained in History. He doesn't like people. He doesn't really like a lot of things. Especially demons. He really hates those. If he gets pissed off, he may make a creepy hissing noise to let you know he wants you to go away. He does have a soft spot for animals and children but he generally keeps his tough-as-steel attitude safely in place. He's also not really scared of much.
History/ background info: Caprica grew up in a rough neighbourhood. It was pretty bad before the demons came. But one evening when he was walking home from his friend's house he found the door broken in and his parents pretty much gross smears on the floor. Before he could run for help, he was pounced upon by a nasty dog-like demon which ripped his throat to bits. His vocal chords were irrepairable and to this day he can only make a creepy-a** hissing noise. Well, he should be thankful. He's lucky to be alive. He decided he would hunt demons after that. He always keeps an eye out for dog-like ones especially.
Extra tidbits: Kuronamida literally means 'black tears' in Japanese. He has a tattoo on the left side of his chest just under the collar bone that is the kanji symbols for "merciless". If he can lock eyes with someone, he can convey what he wants to say, but only if they're paying attention.

Name: Nevada Lyle [DEAD]
Age: Late-20s
Gender: Female
Apperance: Medium height and slim build that she keeps in shape with daily exercise. The deep tan she sported has faded over the years since she doesn’t spend a whole lot of time in daylight anymore. Plus, it’s better to hide pale scars against pale skin, right? A slightly round face is left free as she has short hair dyed a bright almost baby blue that constantly has a pair of shades stuck in them, though sometimes she likes to hide her hazel eyes with them.
Personality: Nevada is not what you would call a “lady.” She smokes, she drinks, she’s crude and her mouth has gotten her in trouble more times than she can count. She has a penchant for being reckless – the age old saying “shoots now and asks questions later” applies to her very well. All this, of course, is complimented by bouts of seriousness and quiet moments… they just aren’t often.
History/ background info: Nevada entered the military after graduating high school and was in training until reaching the age of 21 when she and a small group of her fellow soldiers were selected for a very special, very secret program. Of course, the program was designed to create a better soldier – probably every high ranking soldiers and government official’s wet dream. The process combined science and dare they say… magic. Experiments and testing on everyone in the group took several years until the personnel involved felt their advanced soldiers were ready for a live test.
Of course, the majority of the soldiers were no match for their opponents… demons summoned by the program’s personnel. It was only expected a few would survive – though of the three that did survive, Nevada’s two comrades were so close to death one might rethink that idea. Once the situation of the program was assessed, Nevada was made the scapegoat and dishonorably discharged from the military and left to her own devices. As “revenge” Nevada has hired herself out as an assassin, killing anyone and anything so long as the price is right.
Extra tidbits: With permission from Maus Kaut, I am basing my character loosely on another video game called Galerians: Ash. Nevada’s abilities are psychically based but are only usable if certain drugs are injected into her body. The three drugs Nevada uses the most are Nalcon which allows Nevada to fire a single shockwave at her opponent (close range) or a series of shockwaves at greater distances with greater concentration. Red is used to concentrate a single wave of firepower, which can hit multiple targets and ignite them on fire. When the drug D-Felon is used, Nevada is able to use a form of telekinetic force to lift her enemies off the ground and slam them back into the ground – the longer they are in the air, the more damage is dealt. The last of Nevada’s psychic abilities is in the form of a barrier, however using the barrier too long increases her risk of ODing on the drugs in her system.

Nevada’s abilities are a double edge sword; they give her great power however the drugs needed to use these abilities have nasty side effects. Namely, the ex-solider can over dose on the drugs if her abilities are used too often in a fight. Over dosing will cause her brain to Short and if the drug Delmetor is not administered soon enough Nevada could die (not to mention it’s very painful!). However, Shorting also has its advantages; any enemies within her immediate proximity will die and boosts her powers slightly. When low on drugs or opting not to Short, Nevada will apply her skills with firearms: she carries a pair of Walther P99s dubbed “Jackal” and “Hyde” which employ magically carved bullets to deal greater damage to her demonic foes.

Name: Cameo (means shadow in Latin)
Age: Ageless
Gender: Genderless... though mostly takes on the shapes of men.
Apperance: When first created in hell he looked nothing more than like the shadow of human. Now since he has taken on the form of so many, his body can't settle on his original form. Thus he combines looks from others or copies the body of a previous idividual he's killed/ seen. Usually prefers the apperance of a man over that of a woman.
Personality: A copycat demon so his personality shifts depending on who or what he's impersonating.
History/ background info: Created in the darkness of hell. No one not even Cameo knows the time it was created nor does it care. Is a doppleganger crafted for the purpose of assasination usually, or other odds and ends any of the high end demons might need it to do.
Extra tidbits: Has always wanted to be itself.

Name: Lucius Henbane
Age: 30
Gender: Male
Apperance: Click
Personality: A disillusioned ex-priest. He is almost completely caught up in "the cause" and will gladly lay down his life if it means one less demon on earth. However, that's not to say he's a complete nutcase. Lucius is a quiet man prone to reading and listening to the classics.
History/ background info: Once upon a time Lucius was the kind of man who wanted to help people. The call of the cloth pulled him and in time, Lucius became a priest and all was good. However a higher being came to Lucius, imbuing him with holy properties and thrust upon him a mission: kill all demons set upon the earth. Lucius accepted his task and threw himself into it, with unfortunately, a little too much enthusiasm. As his ways were changing and becoming more violent (focusing on the kill rather than helping people), the church excommunicated Lucius. But he is a man still on a mission and vows that until his death, he will rid the earth of demons.
Extra tidbits: Since his early 20s, Lucius has been killing demons and has become proficient in many forms of combat. His main weapon of choice is a whip blessed up the wazoo or a gun using blessed bullets. Lastly, due to the holy power given him, if he wills it his touch can burn any demon he comes into contact with.

Name: Gideon.
Age: Appears to be in his 30s.
Gender: Male
Apperance: Click
Personality: Although Gideon appears to be in his 30s, he has about a hundred years worth of knowledge behind his eyes. Usually a quiet individual until his extensive patience is run out ... it is at that time you should run away.
History/ background info: Many, many, many years ago Gideon used to be a demon hunter until he was manipulated into a situation where he became the pawn of the very demon's he was hunting. Years went by and Gideon acted as the higher demon's assassin along with several others, obtaining a kill count of over a thousand and thus becoming a demon himself.
Extra tidbits: Gideon is extremely skilled in the use of bows and knives. His prefered weapon is a compound bow he designed himself plus a number of other knives he carries on his person at all times.

((The italics part is the whole arguement thingy... yeah, thought I'd explain it, just incase it confused people.))

Typical Dante, protecting the humans like they were some damned prized jewel. Vergil saw no point in it, the humans could care less if they were alive or not, and from most experiances they wanted both of them dead when they knew what they were. Such a shame he couldn't kill them all... of course that would be pointless. The would would be full of only demons then, and even they hated him and his brother.

Sometimes Vergil disliked his father very much. This was one of those times. Had he been insane, sleeping with a human woman. Bearing two sons of demon and human blood. Surely Sparda would have known what would befall his own flesh. Or maybe... maybe that's where Dante got the two braincells he could barely rub together to form a useless thought from.

Thinking of Dante again Vergil 'hmph'd' angrily. It'd been already an hour but he was still too moody to go back to Devil May Cry. If he walked back in there now they start fighting again, like they had earlier. He just wasn't in the mood. Not tonight.

'Damnit Verg! Why do you have to be so heartless!?'

'...'

'There was no reason to kill her! We could have saved her!'

'The demon wasn't going to let her soul go. There was no other choice than to kill her, thus distroying the demon inside.'

'Did you even stop to think about that lady's daughter? She had a kid for christ's sake!!'

'... she will learn to live without her, or die from her misery and loss. It's no concern of mine.'

'You know Verg, unlike you most people grieve for their dead parents.'

'Dante don't even start with me.'

'See you don't care. You think everyone can just go on all 'la de frickin da' like you huh? Is that it?'

Vergil's brow wrinkled as he walked along in the dark, remembering that at that moment in the arguement he'd hauled off and punched Dante, loosing his cool for once. Though around Dante it was happening more frequently. Of course Dante had retaliated and... well after a bit of family fighting he'd left Dante to deal with the corpse and the rest of the job. He could still hear Dante calling him a coward in his mind. It only irritated him more.

But thus, his earlier thinking on humans was caused by the little arguement and he couldn't help but think of her. His mother. It'd been a long time since he'd really thought of her.

"Mother..." he sighed, his breath visible in the night air.

((Here I goooo!))

Caprica's breath rasped painfully in his throat. He couldn't see it but he knew it was still following him. It was just waiting for him to drop his guard. Well he wasn't falling for it. He couldn't hit it in the dark. He'd tried but the stupid demon kept on shifting and twisting into shadows leaving his blade to whuff through empty air. He was trying the only thing he could now. Running into an area with lots of streetlights. Maybe more dangerous for the civilians but if it killed him now he wouldn't be around to protect anyone later.

He heard a chilling shriek from the sky. Above and behind him, slightly off to the left. It was getting pissed off. It didn't like the light but he was running and warm and had blood pumping through his body. Too tempting for it to leave off the chase. And Caprica had his own speculations. Maybe it knows who I am...

He turned abruptly in the middle of the sidewalk and ran straight across the street. A car blasted its horn at him. He could hear the thing swooping down behind him. He was running towards a blank wall. Bricks. Don't look back. That little voice in the back of his mind was screaming that he was crazy. Don't slow down. He never did listen to that voice. He could feel its breath on his back. He'd caught a few glimpses of it. He knew what it looked like. Big ugly bat-winged thing. It looked like a bizarre combination of a bear and a rat and a rhino.

He jumped and his right boot hit the wall. Then the left. Then the right again as he gained altitude. Then he flipped himself head over heels and landed on the ugly freak's back, stabbing both wakizashi* down into it's spine from both sides of it's neck. It thrashed and screamed and gurgled. But it didn't get up again and sank down to its belly under him. He didn't climb off until he was sure it was dead. He cleaned his swords off on the creature's fur and stuck them back in their sheaths at his hips. He sighed, looking around for a streetsign wondering where he was. He was going to have to walk all the way back to the cemetary from here and finish his prayers.

[Note: *wakizashi = a short Japanese sword, probably as long as your forearm.]

((My turn))

Tristan ran as fast as possible from whatever it was that was following him. He'd been chasing a demon for a week now, it kept slipping away from him. The last time it had gone into the sewers and he'd refused to follow. This time ithad gotten the drop on him an came crashing down. It looked like a spider-scorpion-frog-bird mix. This thing was ugly, but surprisingly it had some abilities that let it get away so many times. Tristan noticed a streetsign ahead of him. He wasn't much of a thinker but that signpost looked like it had just enough give to it. He bounced off of the sign and slammed his boots down onto the top of the demon's head as it caught up to him, pinning it to the ground with his weight. The demon lashed out with it's tail, trying to stick him with it. Tristan grabbed the stinger and ripped it from the demons tail. He quickly grabbed a few of his cards and pinned the demon down. He flipped the stinger in mid-air and grabbing it quickly, he stabed the demon midback, killing it within moments with it's own poison."b*****d!" he staggered off until he bumped into a building."Aw, crap! Where the hell am I now?" He looked around, realizing he was horribly lost."How am I gonna get back to Kyuubi Reign?"

One of the few things that Kistion did for no reason at all, was wander.
He liked to do so at night, when the sun didn't burn his skin so much and his eyes were at there best.
It was just When he was doing this, wandering, when he caught some very nasty echos in his skull.
A Murder? A hunt? Whatever it was he didn't like the screaming noise. It sounded slightly Kin to him.
He stopped wandering the streets and took a slight detour.
He was actually quite close, so close he could smell evil blood, that of a devil.
"A underling." Smaller demons used by more powerfull devils. He could tell, the blood didn't smell that good.
"Well well, I wounder who decided to play god this eavning." He was now commited to this cieriosity.

He found his underling, quite ugly and already stinking up the back ally it was in.
He covered his nose and followed the smell. Although faint devil blood was traceable. He would find out what was going on.
The blade that murdered the demon was short, he expected a woman.
but the figure he came across had too broad of shoulder to be female.
He didn't call out to him, nor hide himself. He was stalking the other, and if he knew. It really didn't matter.

(( Here is your image lovely: Kistion ))

(( sweatdrop I don't want to cause any trouble, but Lyre is right... Tigerboy your post is pretty much the same exact thing as Lyre's, except that your character can talk and uses cards and his can't talk nor does he use cards.

I'd really appreciate it if you changed it, please and thank you.))

Vergil heard the commotion of Caprica and his demon dilemma, but didn't feel obliged to help. Though he was curious as to what kind of demon dared to stalk around in these parts. The demons around here should know better. This was Dante and his territory. In a flash of blue, Vergil changed into his devil form, flying to the rooftops to find this brave demon. It didn't take long to spot it, dead looking like it had been slayed by some sort of blade. It wasn't Dante's work... too clean.

He saw two other figures, his eyes narrowed slightly, two males it seemed. He wondered which one had killed it, if not both had. Humans that hunted demons huh? That was something new... well besides that annoying woman called Lady. Perching on the edge of the roof above them, he watched silently, letting his devil form disapate. There was no need in wasting energy.

((Yaaay... for a not so long post of doom ><))

((I don't mean to be mean but I worked hard on that post.))

Caprica heard stirrings around him. It was generally quiet here at night except the cars going past. It seemed not a lot of people were stupid enough to walk around at night. Good. It made his job easier. Job? He guessed it was a job. Though he didn't get paid for it. The only payment he got was satesfying that burning, all-consuming desire to kill demons. To protect the people from those forces that would rip them to pieces and cause sorrow.

Something in the alley. Something on the roof. Whatever was on the roof was a hell of a lot quieter. He guessed he only heard it because his adrenaline was up. He flexed his fingers. More demons? Two at once was bloody bad luck. He closed his eyes for a moment, concentrating. He couldn't see them by looking around, he might as well use his other senses.

He pivoted abruptly and lept onto the wall of the adjacent building, his hand and boot claws digging into the old brick. He started climbing rapidly. I'll be damned if I let them have the high ground. I've had enough of things swooping down on me tonight.

((Check now. Better?))

Tristan heard, things around here. He knew he'd never get back if he stayed on the ground. He made a long jump, as high as he could get and fanned out his tails, catching the wind enough to allow him to glide a bit. He looked around and saw two figures, both having a devil scent that carried to him. He glided in their direction, having to land a half block from them. One of them was on a rooftop and the other climbing up the side of the same building. Tristan just walked inside and walked up the stairs, taking his time and being relaxed about it.
PostPosted: Tue May 30, 2006 8:25 pm

((LOL silly Caprica isn't a demon xd he's human and Kristion is part demon I believe as is Vergil. But it's so confusing @_@ anyway... *bangs head on wall*

But thank you for changing your post. I appreciate it muchly!))

Vergil moved back from the edge of the roof, taking a fighting stance as his hand went to the hilt of his katana. Did this human think he could fight him? It didn't matter that he'd killed some lowly demon, he was a whole other ball park, and not an easy one at that. It would be fun to toy with the human though. He'd just love to hear Dante complain to him about how he was behaving now. Hmph, who seriously cared what that idiot thought.

"Come to me human." Vergil whispered, his fingers dancing eagerly in wait against his blades hilt. Right about now killing something would be such a good stress reliever.

((I think he meant that Caprica smells like demons cause he was just up to his elbows in demon blood. Ew. *wipes him off* xd ))

Caprica dragged himself up over the edge just as his ears picked up a whisper. The wind was blowing towards him. He probably wouldn't have heard it otherwise. He didn't stand up straight. In fact he just stayed where he was, crouched and watching the figure on the other roof. He seemed to be a normal man. But he knew he wasn't. Maybe it was the way he held himself. The look in his eyes. The scent of him. What is this?

He tucked his hands under his cloak-like coat. His fingers spidered their way over his weapons. His mind raked through his options. Which ones to use? Which ones to keep hidden? He's confident. I can sense it. His expression remained blank. It usually did. But behind it he was steeling himself. He locked eyes with him. I don't care who you are. How strong you are. How fast. I'm not going to shake in fear. Caprica wanted to live. He wanted to continue fighting for the honour of his family and the protection of humankind. He wasn't afraid to die. But he was going to try very very hard not to.
PostPosted: Wed May 31, 2006 9:55 pm

Tristan's slightly pointed ears perked up somewhat. He'd heard something again, a whisper, it sounded like. Hmm, interesting. If this demon had enough of a grasp on the human language to speak it, then maybe he might be one like him. But he could still smell the demon in him even if it was partially masked by the human scent he carried as well. Oddly both the figures he'd seen had carried that scent. He reached the top of the stairs that he'd been so patiently climbing and stepped out onto the roof. It felt good to be back out in the open. His tails swished out in all directions, clearly glad to be back in the fresh air. Well, in this city it was hard to really say the air was fresh but it was better than inside. He saw one of the figures and walked casually over to face him on the opposing rooftop. "'Sup. Watcha doin' here friend? Just out for a nice stroll in the dark? It's not safe in this city." His tails lay dormant on the ground behind him, yet still casting that mystical aura about him.
