The new ones that've come out are much more of a comedy then a horror flick, least that's how it seems to me, Like
Cabin Fever that was so funny, the only scary part about it, is the dang kid that bites people.
(course I have a thing against kids, like the beginning of "Polterguist", or was it "Pyscho"? They have the theme with little kids singing then them laughing at the end of the song. UGH! gave me the chills..)
House of Wax I'm sitting there and I'm trying my hardest not to laugh at the idiot people. >_< I guess that's what I get for dreaming about severed heads, and lightning stuck victums.. ;3
But yeah,

It's because there's no suspence, its all gore, "*walks out without a weapon infront of killer* 'oh don't kill me' *dies a horribly painful bloody death*"
No actual plot behind it, its just there. woop-te-doo. Expected it to happen.
(And they so screwed up on the remake of the blob, black and white was so much better.)
