I've always wondered, when I read my fantasy books or any story I feel drawn in as if I'm there, almost like I'm in a meditation... So then if reading a book can put you in that sort of trance and make you feel comepletely un-aware of your surroundings and feel like you're away... What if someone wrote a book on astral projection, but instead of it being an informative book, why not it be a story book, that tells you a story that unfolds your own astral story.
If you were to read and get into the book enough every reading would possibly give you an astral projection, and then you would be able to do it without the book... So perhaps this could almost be like training wheels for the astral realm, it could tell you a loose defenition of the astral realm and let you unfold your own journey somehow...
maybe a lose story and instructions on letting your body go, through a certain charector, perhaps seperate chaptars for male or female...
I've always wondered about this and now I want to see someone elses opinion and possibly you could write such a book and test it out mrgreen

I've read such things, inner journeys and whatnot, all very interesting. I would be happy to write them, although I don't know if I could write that well enough to be immersive... sweatdrop

I'm good at writing stories, sort of sweatdrop but I'm not sure... we'd have to make it loose so it describes the reader enough to let their imagination wonder to be able to project sweatdrop

That sounds extremely fun xd Like those magical books in stories where you read it and it casts a spell whee I should write something like that 3nodding Write something so vague that it can apply to nearly anyone, but with a deep enough story that they can really get involved.... *thinking about how that's possible* confused I'll figure it out. Just give me time whee

It sounds like a really difficult challenge, though stressed How can you make something deep enough to get someone fully involved, and yet vague enough to include them? And in theory, wouldn't they only be able to project to the place described in the book? You'd need a different story for each area you wish to project to. And if that were the case- you might as well make one chapter per interesting location. Maybe read chapter one to astrally project yourself to the white house, chapter two to go to Bill Gates' mansion, chapter three to go to the United Nations... whee
You wouldn't be able to make relative locations unless you had one hell of a wordsmith confused Even if you attempted to write about projection to "the neighbors house" or something like that, you have no idea exactly what their neighbor's house looks like. You couldn't possibly describe it well enough for them to get involved.
It'd probably work better to write a book about how to write astral projection books xd Then people can just make their own books for places they want to go...
eek OH MY GOD!!! xd That's SO freaking cool!!! Like you make a book and when you open it and read you see somewhere else... Like.... scrying.... and.... awesomeness.... xd xd xd OMG OMG OMG!!! whee
ninja That doesn't usually happen to me.....

"hmm.. obe for dummies, how to astral project... no... umm oh this looks interesting "All you need to have an astral projection" let's open that >he then opens it and passes out on the floor and his astral body hovering over him freaked out<" LOL

xd I make a solemn vow right here and now that if I ever become a good enough master of magick to do so, I'll create a book that causes people to have an OBE upon reading it whee It'll probably have to have some crazy alchemy-type symbols on the cover only infused with energy somehow... and it'll probably require a type of magick we haven't even discovered yet to keep the energy there without concentration by the caster sweatdrop

A student should never be made aware of what he is yet to learn or enthusiasm will lead to failure to learn the current topics. You should never know what the last lesson is, but read the chapters one at a time. For your safety and the safety of those within a 10 mile radius when you decide to summon an angel xp

why don't you make something like : if you want to jump go to page XX. if you want to stay and find another way go to page XY.
could you enchant a book (or a file *lol*) to get this effect? btw coooooool idea

But in the eventual end wouldn't the energy that you used dissolve into the ambient energy of the bookstore or whatever? So you'd need a pretty strong construct to make all that energy stay to the book... or you could have the construct take in energy from the bookstore @.a
But then that would work in theory....
