Well, given the attitudes at the time, I think James might have reacted while not violently, then at least harshly at first. By the time this had happened, I think Peter would have gotten at least enough mind to react differently (I think Peter's attitude would be a bit more, "yeah all right, whatever, more James (in a friendship way) for me than" and he would have been willing to get James to at least calm down. I'm rambling again. Pardon me.

I think James would have been miffed and shocked at first too. I think it probably would have caused a huge fight between them too actually. Not that James is anti-gay, just that he probably would have felt betrayed or something similar. I don't think that Sirius would have mentioned anything about how he had a crush on Remus to James.
As for Peter.... I can see him as the type to be grossed out by it too. I think that once he said something about how Padfoot and Moony being disgusting or wrong, James would have snapped on Peter and set him in his place, also making James realize that they way he's acting is just stupid.
I really can't see Wormtail being that strong of a supporter for Sirius/Remus.

I'm in agreement with Cloud, though I'm not sure it would really cause a huge fight.
I think James would've been shocked, a bit put off, possibly weirded out a bit by the fact that Sirius, who he's done everything with, is "that way." I think, you know, he might subconciously be put off that the one who Sirius likes isn't him. I mean...Yeah. Anyways! I think it might've caused a bit of a rift between them and maybe a small fight, but nothing Remus was really dragged into. But then I think he would've gotten over it and accepted it and become cool with it (possibly because of the addition of Lily who wouldn't have had a problem with Remus and Sirius at all)
Peter, I'm completely with Cloud on this. He'd be grossed out, call them wrong or something like that, try to avoid them, until finally James turned and smacked him around. I also think he would've been the last one to find out (well, inside the circle you know). While obviously they were all close friends, I've always gotten the impression that Peter was the out cast of the group and so Sirius most likely wanted to wait before telling Peter anything.

I'm in agreement with Cloud as well on the Peter thing.
As for James, I can see him just going "wtf?" for a while, trying to figure it out. I can also see him going "Wait... if Sirius is gay... did he ever look at me like that?" and being kind of freaked out, but in the "oh s**t" way rather than the "oh my god! a homo!" way. I can also see him being supportive in his mind, but not really knowing how to deal with it in words or actions.
I don't know. I'm rambling... sorry.

I can see James being a little freaked, not so much because Sirius would be gay, but because he would be, in a sense, left out. They wouldn't have everything in common anymore, and who knows....he might have felt deceived.
I hate Peter's character anyway, but I think he would have been the most anti-gay of the group. He seems easily led and extremely immature, and probably wouldn't handle it well.

I think that James would have been accepting of it, but not right away. After being shell shocked, he probably would get angry/upset/surly over "losing" his best friend. Not in a romantic way of course, but just having the person you were closest to, become that person for someone else. They would still be friends of course, but it just wouldn't be the same. After a time he would probably threaten/hex people who had anything bad to say about the two of them together. (Under the assumption that everyone knows)After all - gay or not, they are still his best mates! As for Peter, he wouldn't like it, but he wouldn't say anything about it either. He's not stupid - he wouldn't do anything to threaten his relationships with his only friends.

I don't think it would have really bothered James. It may have surprised him. But in the end, I think he would have known deep down it was going to happen. As for Peter, yeah I suppose he would have freaked, but eventually he would've gotten over it. (I apologize for the intrusion I just wanted to give my opinion)

Personally, I think James would just be like O_O for a while, pretend to accept it (for Sirius' sake) THEN have an argument with him about it later down the road because he's just so shocked and confused and Sirius would be mad because James said he didn't have a problem with it, sort s**t out and THEN be accepting (and even supportive.. secretly trying to hook them up etc.) just because that seems like a James thing to do..
Peter, on the other hand, I think would try and stay out of it, question his own sexuality, get really really confused and in the end, feel left out. Thus turning to old Moldie Voldie. Personally, I don't really care what Peter thinks. He's kinda boring.. sweatdrop

I beleive that James would be a little miffed in the beggining, but he would come to realize that love is love. Thats the thing I always say, infact Sirius the moony lover, a friend of mine who plays sirius, and my own charcter Meagen Draig-Uisge, also known as dragon where talking. Dragon told Sirius, that your true friends would stand with you no matter who you are with or who you love. She also told him that love has now gender. A little add on to that statement is love is many things, it is blind, it has no age, gender, race, or religion, love is love.

James: WHAT?! What do you MEAN YOU TWO ARE TOGETHER?! AND I HAVEN'T GOTTEN EVANS YET?! gonk NO FAIR, SIRIUS, WE'RE SUPPOSED TO FIND LOVE AT THE SAME TIME!!!! scream

As I see it...
James will feel odd about it, but he would try not to let Sirius know that, jokin' around like "Hey, more girls for me, man..." but Sirius would catch on to the awkward (sp?) air around them, they'd have a fight and then all would be good.
As for Peter... he'll probably be pretty indifferent, I don't think he really cared about them that much, let alone their lovelives. ninja burning_eyes

In my opinion, James would be shocked. He would yell and say mean things in the heat of the moment like teenage boys are prone to do. He would storm off and stew quietly somehwere, realize that Sirius and Remus are still his best mates, awkwardly apologize, and then find that he can tease them now just as much as they tease him about Lily.
That's what I think, anyway.

I can see James being shocked for a minute then just start laughing, telling Sirius "good for him." Also ,like Calliope Della Corte said, James would probably tease the living hell out of him.
If Peter found out he would hopefully go take a long walk off a short cliff probably just get really awkward around them for a while until he got used to it.
