Appearance upon arrival: Not overly muscular, but clearly an athlete. Toned. A runner's build. Otherwise, nothing spectacular. An average sort of guy, short-ish brown hair and goatee, pale green eyes, perpetually tanned skin from spending the majority of his time outside. Clothing style is casual, jeans and a t-shirt type thing, wifebeater and shorts when sporting or, rarely, something actually stylish.

Occupation: Professional football (soccer) player.

'Skills': Can balance a soccer ball on his head. And perform twenty different yo-yo tricks.

Hobbies: Soccer, various extreme sports in his spare time (rock climbing, sky diving, mountain biking, stuff of the like), crossword puzzles...when there's absolutely no way to get outside.

Likes: The outdoors, soccer, high-risk sports, yo-yos, naval piercings (just not on himself), adrenaline rushes, horror movies, french fries.

Dislikes: Most other conventional sports, rain, sleeping on the ground, bugs, being stuck inside, winter, Mexican food.

Personality: A complete Type A, never happy unless he is doing something productive, 'productive', generally speaking, being some physical activity or exercise, or relaxing after said activity. He lives almost exclusively for the thrill of life's big risks and, as a result, has little to no time for friends or family life, let alone a lasting relationship--not that he cares much for them anyway.

Though generally good natured and easy going, he is extremely competitive and never hesitates to take up a challenge, be it scaling a mountain or eating a worm. He is slow to anger or take offense, usually brushing insults aside or twisting them into a joke, but is quick to step up in defense of others, friend and foe alike. Of course, there are always exceptions...

History: Childhood was a blur. Born into an average middle-class family in an average middle-class neighborhood, Thom began as an average boy competing for his parents approval with an above average older sister. Throughout elementary and middle school, he was the perfect little angel, acing all of his classes and following every household rule without complaint, as well as excelling in a variety of 'little league' type sports.

However, with the arrival of his teen years and the decision that he would never excel past his sister, he began trying alternate methods to attract his parents attention. He became something of a daredevil, risking life and limb on countless physical stunts, each more extravagant than the last and, with each new risk, earning a good deal of attention from his parents--negative attention, but attention nonetheless.

Their one consolation, perhaps, was his dedication to football and his team. Thom had fallen in love with the sport and, once given the chance, discarded all of the others in favor for it, turning almost all of his free time towards training and, later, winning. Though this meant he was rarely home during the day, it set his parents at ease, for football meant he wasn?t scaling a bridge somewhere.

College came, Thom was shipped off on a football scholarship, and contact with his family virtually ceased. By this time, however, he was playing for the sheer joy of the sport, and no longer fretted over his parents favor towards their daughter. Though any and all romantic relationships failed within a month, Thom found friendship in his teammates, one of whom--Aaron Gerald--went on to play professionally with him.

Best friends since their college days, Aaron and Thom share a flat just outside of London, but are rarely there between traveling with their team and challenging each other to outrageous sports across Europe.
