Personality: Zen is somewhat remote and distant, and yet at times can be biggest goofs there are.
Attire: Wears a red jacket with a phoenix logo on his right shoulder(same logo that is painted on the Jet Falcon)
Weapons: Carries a katana strapped to his back, but sometimes switches the katana with a two kodachis sheathed together.



Zen had grown up the son of a prominent Republic Zoid researcher, his father, and of a Military Doctor, his mother. Most of his childhood was spent being around Zoids of various sizes and types, from the command wolf, all the way to the storm sworders. When he was about the age of 15 he had begun to talk to his father about his interest in the Zoids. Then one day, his father had made arrangements with the research team to let his son test pilot a command wolf. Zen jumped at the opportunity and thanked his father. Zen took the command wolf out and it was then seen that Zen had a special talent. His father then made later arrangements for Zen to test pilot a newer type of Zoid the team had been working on. During the tests, Zen was proving to be even more talented then their top Zoid test pilot. After a few more Zoid tests that his father had arranged with other types of Zoids ranging from swimming and burrowing zoids to flying zoids, Zen was officially commissioned into the Republic as a Test Pilot at the age of 16. Over the next 2 years, Zen proved time and time again to be the best test pilot around. While he never piloted any zoids with actual armaments, his accuracy with test rounds and mock combat was amazing well and improving each and every time. One day, a group of archaeologist unearthed a never before seen flying type Zoid, later named the Jet Falcon. It was brought to the main research facility that his father worked at. After almost year, the Zoid was ready to be tested. It was decided that Zen would test the Zoid, although his father had some resentments about his son testing such a newly discovered Zoid. But during the tests, his reaction proved to be false. Zen was able to pilot the Zoid as if he and the Zoid were one. Under Zen's piloting skills, the Zoid was surpassing any expectations that the researchers had had. Later tests with other pilots would prove to be less fruitful. The higher ups in the military soon began to recognize Zen's piloting skills and decided to offer him a full enlistment into the military. Zen's father protested, but after much debate, his father agreed to let Zen enlist, only if the military would allow Zen to pilot the J.F. The military officials agreed, seeing as how no other pilots were able to take advantage of the Falcon's abilities as Zen could. Over the next 2 years Zen proved his piloting skills to those in the military mission after mission. One day, while out on assignment, he received word that Research facility had worked at had been destroyed in a freak accident of some sort, his father had was gravely injured in the incident. Zen rushed back as quickly as he could just in time to say his farewells to his father. Zen mourned greatly for his father, as did his mother. She did not want to see the same happen to her son, so she begged Zen to leave the military. Zen did leave the military, but not in the way his mother would have wanted. Zen felt he had a responsibility in finding those who had attacked the facility and caused his father's death. Zen was able to keep the Jet Falcon seeing as how he was the only one who could properly pilot it and being so highly decorated. Zen scoured the regions of Zi looking for answers, seeing much violence and heartache in some places he went. He did his best to help out when he could. To this day, even after 2 years of scouring Zi, Zen still hasn't found those responsible for his father's death.
