Flying over several vast plains, Hawk let out a slight sigh as he made his way towards the next city to pick up a few things for a friend. The slightly overcast sky bore little threat for stormy weather to come any time soon. He was, however, feeling a bit restless as he hadn't had much of a chance to take part in any battles as of late. Though, he supposed that couldn't really be helped. If he never ran into any available opponents during his travels, then the couldn't fight against anyone. "Sure would be nice to keep our skills sharpened though, wouldn't it buddy?"The silver Redler replied with a low growl, agreeing with its pilot. Stats Redler

Zen soared through the sky in his Jet Falcon, doing several barrel rolls before doing a complete 360. "Seems that everything is in order. Just one more slight test"Zen plunged the Falcon towards the ground, gaining more and more speed. Pulling back on the controls and maxing the trust, the Falcon just barely flew over the ground and then back up, creating a large dust cloud in its wake. "Perfect. Looks like your battle ready old friend" The Falcon did another barrel roll to show its approval. Just then, a blip on the radar appeared. "Hmmm...seems there's someone else out here. Let's go check it out" Stats Jet Falcon

It wasn't much longer before a blip appeared on the Redler's radar as well. Raising an eyebrow, Hawk decided to take a slight detour from his route to see who it might be. He wasn't exactly in a hurry to pick up the supplies anyway.
Spotting the other flyer further ahead, he soon grinned as the idea of a potential battle came to mind.
"What do you say, should we challenge them?"
As its reply, the Redler picked up speed, heading towards the Jet Falcon.
Nodding at this, Hawk opened up his communication link and sent a message to the other pilot.
"Marendithas Hawklight here. What say you to a quick battle right now? Battle mode 0992."

"Suzaku Zenque here. And I accept your challenge. Battle mode 0992 it is. Its been a while since me and my friend here were able to show our skills."
Zen sped the Falcon with haste to meet with the incoming Redler.

"Lets get 'em!"
Speeding forward, Hawk eased the controls in the right direction as he took aim at the opposing zoid. His eyes watched his opponent carefully as he tried to spy any movements that may give away the other's plan.
A semi-cocky grin appeared on his face before he began to fire at the Falcon with his Redler's laser machine gun.

Zen quickly pulled on the controls to try and dodge the fire, but still managed to take some damage.
"Damn. Take this"
Zen flipped the Falcon and barrel rolled toward the Redler firing the shock cannons.

Hawk muttered a low curse to himself as his rounds merely glanced the Falcon's armor, but he still kept his eyes locked onto the other zoid. Noticing that he was under fire as well, he quickly took evasive action and banked sharply to the right.
Grinning as he dodged the shock cannon rounds sucessfully, he brought his zoid around once more as he took aim. There was still some distance between himself and the Jet Falcon, so he fired off several more lasers at the incoming zoid.

Zen quickly made the Falcon go into a dive, dodging the redlers blasts.
"So, I guess its time to get serious"
Pushing a button the falcon's lances activated and jutted forward

Twitching as he missed with his attack, Hawk grumbled to himself before he was suddenly shaken in the cockpit.
"GAH!"
Quickly regaining control after being lanced by his opponent, he flipped his zoid over and increased his speed. Eyes narrowed, he attempted to slice through the Falcon's armor with the Redler's tail spike.

The falcon shook as it was hit by the Redler's attack
"Damn it. I need to finish this quickly."
Zen quickly turned the Falcon to the redler and speed up to max speed. Once again the lances were activated.

Taking another direct blow from the Falcon's lances, Hawk muttered to himself for not paying attention to his opponent. Gritting his teeth, he did what he could only do now. He flew straight for Zen and the Falcon to attempt to ram it out of the sky.

Zen shook in his cockpit as the Redler rammed into the Falcon
"He must be getting reckless if he's doing a stunt like that. You've fought well, but perhaps its time to end this."
Zen sighted the redler in his sight and fired off the a round of the shock cannons.

As he flew off to get some distance between himself and the other zoid, Hawk took note that he was being attacked again. Trying as hard as he could, he attempted to dodge, but the shock cannon rounds still managed to hit him, even if it wasn't quite a direct hit.
"Crap!"
The impact was enough to send him diving towards the ground. Hawk did what he could to try and get the silver redler to pull up, but it just didn't really want to stay in the sky any longer. He did manage to get it to level out somewhat so when he came down to the earth, he and the zoid went skidding through the prairie grass for quite some distance.
Once the zoid finally came to a full stop, Hawk groaned. His practical crash landing had shaken him up quite a bit, but he managed to avoid receiving any serious injuries. The next morning was definitely going to be a painful one however.
"Nice jobs..." he said while catching his breath, "Ya mind sending someone here? I kinda doubt I'll be going anywhere right now.."
Slumping down in his pilot seat, he just let out a sigh of defeat.

Zen saw as the Redler plummeted to the ground and skid safely along the field. He circled close by to make sure the pilot was alright. Once he heard the communication he knew things were somewhat alright.
"Sure, I'll see if I can find anyone with a transport. Not to banged up are you?"

"Eh, I'll be pretty sore in the morning, but nothing's broken... other than my zoid."
Those last few words of his were coated in a light later of bitterness. Hawk opened up his cockpit so that he could get a little bit of fresh air, then gazed up at the Falcon circling overhead.
"And thanks."
That said, he just relaxed for now. From the looks of it, he won't be grabbing and delivering his friend's goods for a little while.
