 That's right!! It has FINALLY ENDED.
The auction will lasted from May 9th to June 12th.

For those of you who would like to participate in the next DTAAY group auction, currently, we're currently unsure if and when it will be. If you would like though, please feel free to post up a couple of your best or favorite drawings.
Images should show off your drawing skills so they can be used as samples during the actual auction.
In the meantime, head over to the Request and Commissions forum to see more great auctions being held.

In case you guys didn't get the message yet . . .
This is the final announcent.FINAL ANNOUNCEMENT:
Derilyn has won the very first DTAAY Charity Art Auction with a bid of 125 k!!!
Details and further information regarding how the art will be done will be posted here and in the guild.
A PM will soon be sent to Derilyn regarding how she would like to be drawn and then forwarded to the rest of the artists. After completion of the art, please post up the finished product in one of the threads in the guild. If there are any questions please feel free to post in the DTAAY guild, or PM Black Briar or brenji.
The process by which and how the gold will be distributed among the remaining questers has not been decided thus far. It will be discussed after completion of the art contest.
We hope that any of our vistors, as well as the regulars, come and visit us at our new home in the Picture Post . . . I mean, Art Freebies forum. (Yes, apparently, we move A LOT.)

Thanks to BunnySage, LechyGirl, Giga, and Gluesniffa for finding their way here and bumping/chatting like crazy almost on a daily basis since the auction began.

A big thanks all the DTAAY artists who were willing to lend us a hand and their incredible artists skills to raise some gold for those in the guild who are questing!! And, of course, thanks to Derilyn who won the contest!!

I suppose I have my samples here. >__> The quality of any eventual auction artwork would probably be a bit random, I suspect. sweatdrop Nad since it's a DTAAYer charity group art auction I suppose it could be called that?

Huumm... huummm. the pictures I like most are unfortunately ungaiarelated sweatdrop I'll see... This one I like, and this and This, but unfortunately the only gaia-related work I've been able to do lately is here, here here and oh crap, it's really been a long time since I've done real portraits. eek That one's dated 11.09.2004...! Please pick what you want. But I won't be able to really take part in auctions until the very end of this month sad But that's only two weeks away.

Well, maybe it's not necessary. xp
So, how should we go about doing this?
Should the auctions last for a week? Two weeks? A month?
And any themes or a title? I was hoping for a little more than DTAAY AUCTION.
Perhaps something along the lines of "(insert catchy title) __________: DTAAAY Very First Auction!!"
And should it only be limited to one avatar pictures . . . ?
Or do some of you guys want to let the person who get's the highest bid decide?
And also, should the drawings be limited to their avatars or should we allow them to use their RP characters? (that question makes no sense.)

I think it's best if an auction runs for about 3 to 4 weeks, so that it gets enough coverage to catch a high bid. 3nodding
I think maybe it should be limited to one picture per artist, but the auction winner could decide what the artist would draw.
But have the artist post what they can and can't draw, so that the bidder doesn't ask for something the artist can't/won't do. smile
Like..
have a little profile for each artist (done by the artist), consisting of examples, their do's and their don'ts (like their personal rules about art), and there can and can't draw. To make it as clear as possible, to avoid confusion.
