OK, so I was on the Gorillaz myspace page, and I noticed a song, "Stop the Dams", which is apparently on the Kids With Guns/El Manana CD. I was listening to it, then I read the lyrics. Here's what I think. I think that this is like the end, where you realize that things won't always be like they are, with Noodle gone and everything, things will be bright again, kind of like foreshadowing, right? Ok so I've never done one of these analysis things, so give me your feedback. What do you think of "Stop the Dams"
Lyrics: When you're smoking tinfoil in the morning It's gonna be a cold day When you're keeping everything inside you It can only hurt you
Unrelated sounds The sun will shine again You hold it in your hands
This young land is a young land let it stay that way Its pollution only turns you into something you don't want to see in the water A reflection of them that you receive
You don't own the sun And the sun won't shine again So maybe you're all in love With Aluminium
The cling and a clang Is the metal in my head when I walk I hear a sort of, this tinging noise Cling clang The cling clang So many things happen while walking The metal in my head clangs and clings as I walk Freaks my balance out So the natural thought Is just clogged up Totally clogged up So we need to unplug these dams And make the the natural flow It sort of freaks me out We need to unplug the dams You cannot stop the natural flow of thought With a cling and a clang
And wake me up again until We're Aluminium You hold it in your hands The sun will shine again The sun will shine again The sun will shine again The sun will shine again The sun will shine again The sun will shine again

Sounds like their saying "We're gonna replace Noodle but the fans will know what happened and become upset." Or "You will miss them but then you won't." whee I'm not good at this.

+Dirty Re-Hash Punk+ I'm no good at those hidden messages and such, but at least you tried. I haven't even heard that song *sobs* crying if you have a myspace, go to the gorillaz page, and it's one of the songs.

*Is currently listening to that song on the KWG/El manana single* xD
The song is kinda like Hong Kong in a way, it's for the Stop The Dams Campaign to help Icelandic Nature (Google it). It's a collab with Ghostigital and The Reykjavik West End Brass Band. The song is probably about what'll happen if the Dams aren't unclogged and all that biscuit. Sounds more like a Damon song than a Gorillaz song though.

Anyone remember th'lyric "It's getting harder to see the sun coming through"? Mebbe it's connected. Or that good things will happen soon.
