A relatively new band. Formed in '97 with Mike Wengern and Dan Donegan. In '99 they would meet up with his guy who used to belong to the Judist faith but was excommunicated because he no longer believed in the Messiah. The one I'm talking about of course is David Draiman who would eventually lead Disturbed. So he did join them but Disturbed wasn't complete. In March '99 Disturbed met up with an amazing bass player who they just fell in love with because his bassline sounded like a fuzz, which is what his name would be. So they began to write some songs adn eventually scored a point with Gaint Records. They were signed and a year later, they released "The Sickness" (2000), which went gold. Soon after they would land a gig with none other but Jon Davis of course in Queen of the Damned with "Forsaken", and also their single for "Down With The Sickness" was played in the movie.
After The Sickness era, David would rediscover his faith in religion and get the inspiration after 9/11 to write what would become their 2nd album, "Believe". They headed into the studio early '01 to record their follow-up album of "Believe". This time David would take a more religious approach in writting the lyrics than on "The Sickness". The album was released in 2002 and went Platinum but disappointed a lot of fans because of the heavy religious content. That same year following the release of "Believe", Disturbed hit the road for the "Music as a Weapon II" Tour. The tour featured bands like Unloco, Chevelle, and Taproot. A cd was released at the end of the tour featuring nothing but live preformances from all the bands, titled "Music as a Weapon II". The tour, although higjhly successful took it's toll on Fuzz.
Late '03 Fuzz left the band to purse his new role as father and husband leaving Disturbed a brother short. So during the following year '04, Disturbed was left to dry and fans kept on asking, "When is the new album supposed to come out?"
By late '04 Disturbed had entered the studio again and began to record songs for their 3rd studio album "Ten Thousand Fists", but without a 4th brother tehy could not make much progress. So they headed back on the road and recruited a new replacement player for Fuzz.
In early '05 the band headed back into the studio with renewed spirits and picked up the "Ten Thousand Fists" project again. They hooked up with a new bass player, John Moyer, who would eventually replace Fuzz. But on this record the band got back in touch with their rock roots and decided to do a fusion type record or both "The Sickness" and "Believe". The album was released September 2005, and went Platinum the first week.
