How do you deal with homophobes... people telling you you are going to hell for who you are... people who kill GLBT persons due to "gay shock" and other bullcrap like that...
I try to be aloof, to tell myself that these people are ignorant... but never underestimate the power of stupid people in large numbers.... it makes me die a little inside.

I try to do about the same. I try to tell myself that they have no idea what it's like and no sympathy enough to be at least tolerant. It scares me a lot what lengths people will go because of hatred and fear. My parents are homophobic and whenever they talk about homosexuals in the way they do, it gets me all panicky and worried. It makes me want to keep to myself more even though I do want to tell them.
But at the same time, such ignorance makes me want to be more out there with my sexuality to show people that it's not going to change. To show that no matter what, there will be homosexuals out there and that the only thing to do is accept it. Inflicting pain isn't going to make anything go away, it's only going to increase resistance to comformity and abuse. Plus, it's who I am and people can't change who I am.

I've haven't had to deal with that yet and truthfully i terrified to do so. I tend to be rather discreet about my sexuality, only telling people if they actually confront me, and i am really really freaked out about the idea of any random Joe on the street being able to tell for that very reason.

Well, unless I'm related to them, I haveno problem telling them to ******** off and get a life. I also like to quote what I've dubbed the "mind your own business" scriptures at them.
But then again, I'm a trouble maker. I got it from my grandma.

Shmoo-Chan I say I don't know where it came from "Great minds talk about ideas, Average minds talk about events, And low minds talk about people." Yush I'm a Great Mind Muahaha >.> I like this quote from an unknown location ^^ Also I get alot of ridicule and accusation of being gay, mostly I just go with it and I find that most of the time they go back to their own business if thier accusations are "confirmed" Even though I'm not really Gay, but I am Pansexual.

Yeah, I get this a bit (living SC), especially from this FFA b***h (no offense to any members of the FFA, but that doesn't stop her from being a b***h) that I sits near me at lunch. When she brings up the subject, I immediately go towards the "lower yourself to their level" style and insult her way of life. I know it's low, but if nothing gets said, nothing gets done! And when they bring up the scriptures, I just sort of laugh and point at the ridiculous rules and say, "times evolve, why can't you?"

you know what i do? ignore them, completely. if they take it to the physical plane? get authority. if it IS the authority? hurt them back the same way, or worse.
homomisiants are despicable and should be held at arms length, (with contempt for having to hold them at all.) the only things worse than discriminaters are rapists, muderers and blacks! ------------------------------------------------ don't take offense with the "blacks" one, it's designed to shock. i don't mean it at all. ------------------------------------------------ read between the lines, you know it's stupid to hate

How? I ******** with them. I put on the gay act (I'm straight, but I don't give a crap out same-sex contact. I mean really, not like I'm taking it up the butt) and freak them out.

One of two ways.
1. Do terrible, unspeakable things to them in the darkness of the night. And, no, I'm not kidding. I'm just a bad person like that.
2. Beat them on the spot. Of course, legal maneauvering is a pain in the a** sometimes. But, eventually, you get as good at it as I am!
On a side note, everyone should take notes from Blueberry up there. She...he... Zi knows what...zi's(?) talking about.

I piss in their morning coffee... No, I'm kidding. XD I firmly state my beliefs, and ask them to just respect my decision and let me be. If that doesn't work, let the flaming and drama begin at which time I verbally beat down the person.

I honestly don't care what most of them have to say because they don't even try and look at our side of things. There is always a second side to every story, opinion, outlook, etc... and they only want to, and do see their's. If anything about homophobes makes me angry is that - they don't even try, but I don't really let it get to me. Sometimes I do get really angry and upset, but it's generally when someone is attacking me personally ((not always physically, but mentally/emotionally as well)) or they're just pushing my buttons really slowly because they know how to get to me.
For ex: I was making a presentation for civics and we had to pick one topic that was in the news a lot and pretty much rant about it. I chose same-sex marriage, and the overall issue of homosexuality. My presentation was flawless and all my points were backed up, I wasn't attacking anyone, anything, or any culture. But no, this guy Eric ((who is known for being a complete a*****e)) decieded to test my "theroy" of Ancient Greecians, Egyptions, Romans, etc.. and how they all accepted homosexulaity/bisexuality and even worshiped Gods/Goddess' which represented the ranges of human sexuality. I knew he was going to be a p***k about it, so I just stood back and tried to stay calm while I let him finish his view...then I got really angry. I totally lost it. I slammed my hands on his desk after about 2 min of ranting back-&-forth and yelled at him 3inches away from his nose, "WE ARE ALL ******** EQUAL! IF YOU WERE BLOODY LISTENING...blah blah blah...STOP BEING AN IGNORANT, ARROGANT ******** AND DEAL WITH IT!" Or something like that...My teacher was scared shitless, carried on with the lesson as if nothing had happened, then it actually hit me that I came out to 30 people in about 2 seconds...
So ya, those kinds of things bug me...But not much else. I stay pretty calm and laugh most of the time...^_^
