(free raffle. surprised ) Sandshrew stage! <3#1 Name: Miras Temperament: Passive Gender: Female Species: Sandslash Attacks: Dig, Fissure, Fury Swipes, Skull Bash Color: Red FOOD!: berries Say something.: ... stressed Oops. xD
Miffer's journal: My first pokemon, of sorts. Because of her peculiar coloring and being mute, she was bullied by the other sandshrews in her litter, so I picked her up and raised her as a housepet for a few weeks until she was healthy again. After that, she went out and became a solitary wild pokemon, but still frequently visits me because I feed her. Sometimes she follows me for a little while between her long absences- and she listens to what I tell her to do like a fully trained pokemon, so... she's peculiar, in a way that Miras is half-trained, half-wild.Miffer's journal (2): Today, Miras came to my door again, so I let her in. But instead of heading for the kitchen or the bedroom, she waited for me to close the door, and then curled up and started glowing! Before I knew what happened, she had evolved into a Sandslash. I couldn't believe it! She seems to have gained pigmentation on her belly- and also, she's started making cute throat noises, like purring, when she's trying to get my attention. I think her voice might actually come back. This has gotten me so excited! <3

(no markings or edits restricted custom.) Cyndaquil stage! <3#2 Name: Lyosa Temperament: Graceful Gender: Female Species: Quilava Attacks: Quick Attack, Ember, Flame Wheel, Swift Color: MidnightBlue FOOD!: Snackbars and graham cookies... surprised Say something.: Quil.
Miffer's journal: Lyosa was given to me when we visited a professor on a school trip. The professor said that a lot of other professors do it- they hold out three pokeballs, and you get to pick one. I was so lucky to get a part of this! Lyosa is very nice and behaved, but she sleeps a lot.
Miffer's journal (2): Lyosa evolved! She's now a beautiful Quilava, and much stronger than before. It must be through all of our hard training, battling wild pokemon. <3

(no marking or edits common custom.) #4 Name: Donut heart Temperament: Timid Gender: Male Species: Gastly Attacks: Confuse Ray, Spite, Night Shade, Dream Eater Color: Black FOOD!: None. He doesn't eat. What a dull life he must have ;_; Say something.: *frets* "Um, umm..." *frets more* "O-okay." *glances downwards and blushes*
Miffer's journal: I nabbed him in a ghost tower, while he was sleeping. Such a lucky catch! He has a talent for human speech, which makes him timid with other pokemon- that's why he was sleeping alone. I think he used to have another trainer who got him young and taught him to speak, but abandoned him.

(IsshaWONbyGAME surprised heart ) #6 Name: Maplefall Temperament: Bold Gender: Male Species: Magikarp Attacks: Splash Color: Orangered FOOD!: Standard magikarp food. =w= Say something.: Karp?!
Miffer's journal: Well, it all started when I went swimming... Miras, now completely capable of speech with other pokemon, was conversing with Glory. Suddenly, Glory got all pumped up and dove into the water. I got increasingly worried, since she wasn't coming back up- but a few seconds later, she re-emerged with a fresh, live, magikarp and flew over Miras, dropping it on her face while making a very strange cackling caw, like some kind of insane crow... well, anyways, I couldn't just leave the Magikarp like that, and it needed healing, so I brought it to the pokecenter and ended up keeping it. I called him Maplefall because of his beautiful scales colored like maple leaves in fall, and also because it makes a cheesy pun with the "fall" season and "fall" as in waterfall. I feel sorry for him that I couldn't come up with anything else at the moment- and also because Miras seems to bear a grudge against both all magikarp and all pidgeys after that experience.

------------------ PG Safari Hunt FS ------------------ Quote: A young girl with dark brown hair, wearing camouflage and with her face painted, entered the small establishment that was the entrance to the Safari Hunt. She lay down her backpack and with a smile, presented her trainer's I.D. and the entry fee.
-"Umm..." The man at the counter arched an eyebrow at her getup, then gave her the five Safari pokeballs to use. 'Isn't she determined.' He thought, wishing her good luck. -"Thank you very much, sir!" She said, and departed after clipping all of the pokeballs to her belt.
--
Miffer looked around the immense, grassy area, staring in awe. She wished Miras could be here, but unfortunately, the little sandshrew was wild and couldn't enter. She had chosen Lyosa for the safari hunt; because she was fire type, which would work best against bug or grass types, and because then she'd get to gain some experience, and if she was really lucky, not only would she walk away with a brand new pokemon, but an evolved Lyosa.
She had also brought some interesting equipment in her backpack; a sonar that she could wear to listen for wild pokemon. She took out the equipment quietly, attaching it to her belt, then slinked into the tall grasses, a little tense- but she knew that if a pokemon attacked, Lyosa would protect her. Quote: The camouflaged girl stalked the grasses, bending down lowly. Everywhere around her were long, slender blades, golden and bending this way and that from the breeze. She felt like she was walking in an endless, infinite corridor, and almost got lost in thought, right when a silent, but distinct 'click', 'click' was heard in her earphones. She froze on the spot but listened, the sound growing distant, and then dissapearing. Too slow. She had let that one get away. But maybe it was just a bug, since there were so many here. She had been hearing a lot of buzzing on her earphones ever since she came in here. Feeling uneasy, she thought about letting Lyosa out, but her fire would drive the pokemon away, or maybe even attract the more fierce ones, which frightened her. Maybe she should have tried bringing Miras after all- was she truly safe with a low-level pokemon like her Cyndaquil?
But now was not time for doubt. She continued prowling lowly, searching for a good spot to hide and camp a little. Her strategy would be to hide and wait for a pokemon to pass by. It was better than rushing into danger or making a mistake by alerting the surrounding pokemon, anyways. With her equipment, she shouldn't fail... Quote: Miffer continued shuffling through the grass, sweat beading on her forehead and running down her face. This camo is icky and big. She thought, thinking of unzipping the jacket a little, because this heat was too much. The zipper was fairly loud, compared to the relative silence of the area. A low growl, full of threat, suddenly resonated in her ears like a parade of- of- any really loud pokemon she could think of. Omigoodness I'm going to piss myself what should I do what should I- She held her breath, because the growling was coming closer. She hoped it wasn't a poochyena or a big pokemon with a good smell- closing her eyes, she glanced to the right, where a large rock provided so-so cover. But from what direction was the growling? She approached the rocks by one quiet step, noticing that the growling got father away, even if this was barely noticeable to the human ear. Swallowing hard, she stealthily rolled to the side and immediately darted behind the irregularily-shaped rock, her heart pounding in her chest. Her hand slid to her belt, where Lyosa was. For a whole, long, suspenseful minute she stayed prepared for a battle, but the growling eventually stopped, and nothing further could be heard. She listened really hard- was it gone? Just in case, she should stay in place for the moment... Quote: Miffer could hear a girl screaming another way and numerous people's voices now. But the eerie silence where she was crouching on the ground behind those rocks disturbed her. Why weren't the crickets chirping anymore? She guessed the pokemon must still be close, and peered into the golden grass- the breeze pushed it a little, enough to reveal the shadow of a being who was standing before her, at a short distance away. It was watching her, to see if she was a threat. Swallowing again, Miffer let go of her pokeball. The pokemon was big. Should she battle? Should she not? But she was within reach of it, so if she made a false move... best would be to try to gain some distance between them, enough for a battle to take place without immediate danger to the trainer. She closed her eyes, gaining determination, and rose into a good position for running, keeping her body relatively low, and moved forwards. The shadow followed in a parallel line. They were both predators- both judging if the other was prey. The camouflaged girl smirked to gain confidence. This is how it will be, is it? She thought, and darted forwards, gaining speed every second- the pokemon had started running, too. Who's faster? She asked herself. Quote: Miffer sped through the grasses, holding a hand to her belt just in case. The grass and occasional small branched brushed past her and sometimes scratched her unprotected face. She stumbled once, noticing the pokemon hadn't gotten much closer- which meant they were equal match. Miffer couldn't see before her though, while the pokemon probably knew the terrain- she had the disadvantage. She continued running headfirst into the safari plains, when her camo jacket got stuck on a branch. Not wanting to rip it, she doubled back and changed direction, spinning at a dizzing pace- which let her catch a glimpse of the pokemon, when she stumbled unexpectedly into a wide clearing. On the edge of a...? She gaped at the sudden change of environement. The wild grass had stopped growing here- she was standing on a big jutting rock that overlooked the valley. The pokemon didn't come out, it just gazed at her with predatorial eyes through the unexpected barrier. A wide open space...? Finally! She felt surer to battle here. Except for the big distance between her and the ground down below, she should have the advantage- and she had the higher land. Quote: Without any further hesitation, Miffer threw her pokeball towards the shadow in the grass, and her silver-blue cyndaquil appeared in a bright flash, her white flames ablaze. "Lyosa, Ember!" She ordered, but Lyosa only answered with an interrogative "Cyn?" and cocked her head towards her trainer, pointing into the grass. Miffer could hear with her equipment the pokemon running away quickly in the grasses. It... ran away? Maybe it was afraid of fire? Miffer stared, dumbfounded, the land before her now cleared. "It escaped!" She said, frustrated, and shook her head. "Lyosa, return." "Quil!" She said, and reentered the pokeball. Miffer sat down, thinking things over. Would this area be good to overlook the valley for spotting potential catches? Miffer noticed some grass moving, but some might be wind and she couldn't tell if it was a trainer or a pokemon. She was still inexperienced as a trainer- of course, if these are grassy lands, the pokemon would be afraid of fire. She had made a poor choice of pokemon... so if she wanted to catch one, it would have to be by surprise. Readjusting her equipment first, she took a few deep breaths and looked forwards, then dashed once again into the grass for her search.
