Snowy Sneezes: (7) : Small custom shops and stalls always seem to open up this time of year, and Destiny City has no shortage this year. Several seasonal themed shops have already received raving reviews, and among them is a small cafe. Outside it looks like a cute vintage cafe, but inside, the shop has been decorated so convincingly that you feel like you've just stepped into a snowy northern forest. They have an array of delicious, cold drinks, and the trip would be worthwhile for that alone--except, shortly after the first sip, anyone who has ingested the drink will find that they sneeze a flurry of tiny snowflakes. The more drinks consumed, the longer you will find you are sneezing little snowflakes. It feels like there is a tickle up your nose for an hour or longer, depending on player choice; drinking more can also lead to longer effects. There are no negative impacts--just the need to sneeze often, and a little burst of cold snowflakes along with each one. Surprisingly, the shop still doesn't have any bad reviews.
Kua'kua could not stop shivering. While she had come to accept that Earth was basically inhospitable for Kuanian life outdoors, usually her home was an exception. Usually her home was - warm. Usually coming home from the frightening, freezing outside world was a welcome respite - but today, Kalani simply could not stop shivering. She was frozen all the way down to the bone, she felt.
Was she dying? It hurt to swallow. It hurt to breathe. Was this an extant form of Chaos, taking root in her lungs, the way it had taken over the bodies of every other Kuanian? Her nose was - absolutely ineffective. Nothing could get in, or out of it. But also stuff was leaking from it??
She was pretty sure she was dying. She was covered in multiple blankets, with just her head poking out in what her housemates called 'being a burrito', though Kalani had no idea what a burrito was, nor how to be one, nor what role a blanket played in the making of one. Her nose hurt in ways her nose had never hurt before, and all of a sudden, it felt like - the pressure was--oh, death was coming--
ACHOO!
"Geh," Kalani said, scrubbing at her face with the edge of one of the blankets. She blinked blearily - and then more rapidly, a frown crossing her face.
Was it snowing? Inside??
Kalani barely had time to ponder this before--death, again--!
ACHOO!
