Hobbies:
Sunbathing – Fathom is often very lazy and enjoys lying about in the sun to get warmth, especially after a nice swim. That isn’t to say he doesn’t have his active moments, since he enjoys activities such as swimming as well, but if he has time to procrastinate any work he has to do, he will in favor of sunbathing. His favorite times to sunbathe are in the afternoon when he can take a nap in a spot of comfortably warm sunshine.

Studying – Like many Mauvians, Fathom enjoys reading, but he enjoys reading the most when he has an intriguing subject to study or research. His favorite subjects to look into are bio-engineeering (which he keeps up with in regards to the latest relevant technology and accomplishments in the field), youmas, half-youmas, what creates them, starseeds, the corruption of starseeds, the mirror coating of starseeds for dark mirror senshi, and other related topics. If he has a chance to learn about any of these subjects personally with a first-hand experience, he’ll very likely take it immediately, no questions asked.

Swimming – Despite the notion that cats are usually afraid of water, Fathom loves it. He especially enjoys being immersed in it and going for a nice dip, whether in a pool or in the ocean. He also enjoys the feeling of drying off in the sun after a pleasant swim since the sun warms him enough to keep him from feeling too cold as the water evaporates from his fur.

Watching anime – Fathom is thoroughly amused and fascinated by anime. The crazy storylines and plot twists have him addicted along with the 2-D animation which is so different from western animation for reasons he is intrigued by. He enjoys watching all sorts of genres of anime and will happily go into long rants about certain shows if anyone cares to discuss them.

Playing Pokémon – Although paws aren’t the best for playing game consoles like the Nintendo Switch, Fathom has learned to manage for the sake of playing games like Pokémon. He is almost as passionate about Pokémon as he is about researching certain science topics, spending hours hunting for shiny Pokémon or grinding levels to beat a gym leader. He loves all the games, regions, characters, and pocket monsters there are and enjoys replaying games he’s already beaten several times over. Don’t even get him started on the anime.

Virtues:
Charismatic – With his casual air and his warm, easygoing smile, Fathom can be quite charismatic. He gets along with most and isn’t a fan of conflict, preferring to go with the flow, so he’s become very skilled at being able to smooth situations over and to do so very quickly before nerves fray, patience wears too thin, and fights break out. Fathom knows how to appeal to others and socialize in a manner that attracts people to him, prioritizing fun and good times over seriousness and grim subjects. He also has a good sense for when things are about to turn awkward or tense in difficult conversations and can thus know exactly when to change the subject while knowing what subjects are safe to change to.

Easygoing – This feline likes to take things easy and is very laid-back when it comes to most things – at least outwardly – and is only rarely found in a foul mood. This makes him very approachable and he’s relatively friendly toward strangers so long as you don’t go out of your way to be a pest to him, which can be surprisingly difficult. Slow to annoy and even slower to anger, there isn’t much that seems to rattle Fathom or get on his nerves. He always prefers to go with the flow than to make waves. Because he also behaves in a very relaxed and calm manner, he also tends to calm people around him, putting them at ease simply with his demeanor and having them believe that everything will be alright.

Devoted – Fathom may be hard to win the affections of, but if you somehow manage to get into his actual good graces and be someone he considers a true friend or family member, he will be devoted to you for life. He is very affectionate, caring, tender, and loving, but only towards a select few people he considers close to him. Those he stands beside he will support 100% to the best of his ability and will do his utmost to never them let down. Though he may seem outwardly warm enough to strangers, that’s nothing compared to how much he cares for those who are truly important to him and what he would be willing to do or even sacrifice for their sakes.

Forgiving – Not one to hold grudges, Fathom is fully for the saying ‘live and let live’. He will rarely ever seek retribution for wrong done to him and is more likely to let it all be water under the bridge than to risk what he would consider unnecessary conflict. Fathom can be sympathetic or empathetic at times, leading him to be a merciful being who is lenient on his enemies – not that he has many or considers many to be enemies. Compassionate and understanding as he is, he is more likely to pity people who hate or dislike him and consider him an enemy than he is to take slights against him personally. He knows that they are all in a war and that many are in this war against their will, so he doesn’t like to hold people’s actions against them, especially when he himself knows what it’s like to make mistakes and regret them.

Flaws:
Narcissistic – Fathom is very fond of his own appearance and that’s major a weakness of his because it makes him very susceptible to flattery. It also tends to make him overestimate how highly people think of him and thus sometimes misjudge how much they actually like him. He will often spend long hours preening or admiring himself because he takes so much pride in his looks. Sometimes he will go up to people and come off as fairly charismatic until he reveals how narcissistic he is and that often lowers peoples’ opinion of him. He also has a hard time understanding why being so vain is a flaw, so he can’t understand why admiring himself and making comments about how good he looks would lower opinions of him because he believes he’s simply stating facts.

Lazy – Overall, this Mauvian is relatively unmotivated and tends to be an underachiever. Though he has a passion for researching certain things as a hobby, he doesn’t usually feel any obligation or urgency to use his research toward any particular goal. There aren’t too many things in life that he considers urgent enough to need to be done right away and thus will usually procrastinate and put things off until he absolutely can’t anymore. Fathom also lacks a strong urge to improve himself and gives up easily on almost anything he attempts to do that he can’t do well the first time. This laziness and general lack of motivation to do anything with any sense of urgency could possibly be attributed to a sort of depression because he doesn't really feel like he has found his true purpose in the world or reason for existing, so in his eyes, he remains useless. His laziness also leads to being careless in what he does and says to others because he doesn’t tend to care about much when it comes to himself and doesn’t have a very strong sense of self-preservation.

Noncommittal – This guardian cat is not the greatest when it comes to duties and responsibility. He may be devoted to those he cares about, but he doesn’t like taking sides in arguments or fights and doesn’t like getting involved in disputes or battles because he’s very conflict-avoidant. There’s a reason he isn’t bonded to any particular senshi. Commitment scares him and makes him wary, so he tends to keep even loved ones at a distance in order to avoid vulnerability. There are exceptions to this, of course, but they are few and far between. For the most part, Fathom has a fear of intimacy and getting close to people. He has trouble processing feelings healthily because his main coping mechanism is to make light of serious situations or feelings he has. By being a friend to all rather than attaching to any one particular person, he can avoid having to deal with the intense feelings associated with having a strong bond with someone else. He does not like being tied down and is very guarded, vague, and evasive when people try to corner him about being committed. When faced with people who are at odds with one another, he likes to be diplomatic and to try to smooth things over with both sides rather than to risk making enemies of either one.

Facetious – One of Fathom’s main defense mechanisms when it comes to protecting himself mentally is to make light of serious topics and situations. As a result, he makes fun of a great deal of things he probably shouldn’t and tries to be funny at times most would deem socially inappropriate in order to lessen tension. When topics and situations are too serious, tense, or grim, they make him very uncomfortable; particularly when a fight could break out because he tries to avoid conflict as much as possible. Thus, he will make jokes at his own expense or do whatever else he has to in order to alleviate tension with humor, silliness, or mockery regardless of how unappreciated or inappropriate it might be deemed at the time. This also tends to get him in a lot of trouble, but he can’t help doing it out of habit, especially when he’s nervous.

Eyes: Pale, glacier blue; large and almond in shape

Body: GC2C template base. Adult with a somewhat athletic, lithe build if slightly on the rounder side. Nose is the same glacier blue as his eyes.

Fur: Short pale blue fur gradating to a darker blue point at his ear tips, paw tips, tail tip, and face. There are also lighter and darker stripes of blue all across his body as he is a Lynx Point Siamese which is a Siamese-colored cat with tabby stripes

Star Color: Dark (Mediterranean) Blue

Eyes: Pale, glacier blue; large and almond in shape

Hair: Glacier blue at the roots (same color as his eyes and cat nose) gradating to white at the ends. Wavy with long bangs swept back out of his face. Accessories?

Face: Rounded jawline edge, giving him a rounder, more youthful face, but more pointed features such as cheek bones, nose, and chin.

Skin Tone: Beach tan

Fathom awoke from stasis as an Awakened Mauvian and wandered around for a bit in a daze until a Negaverse agent found him and offered him a place to stay as well as to be provided for and to be given a purpose. Subsequently, he agreed and a general sovereign corrupted him, but he doesn't remember who the Negaverse agent was or which general sovereign corrupted him.
