Poultrygeist (15) : As Destiny City is a bustling metropolis, it’s not unexpected that there should be some strange animals running the streets. Sometimes it’s a tiger, sometimes a monkey, sometimes a chicken. Sometimes it’s something worse. Strange egg clusters have appeared in Destiny City’s parks and officials aren’t really sure what they are; these eggs have nothing inside of them. Though it’s an anomaly, they are chalking it up to teenaged pranks. However, they have advised to just leave the eggs as they are. Nobody wants to say why, but if you’re out late at night, you’ll find out. In the darkness, whispered between the sounds of the city: a guttural, rasping cluck. The creature stands on stilt-like legs, rooted to the ground with razor-sharp talons. It wears a cloak of long, oily feathers that drag on the ground with a sinister scraping. If you stare into the darkness, piercing red eyes stare back at you. That’s all it takes for a confrontation: a mangled bird, maybe a chicken in another life, comes barreling out at you. It stands easily as tall as a person, but the proportions are all wrong. The smell of sulfur follows it as it lunges, pecking and screaming and scratching as it attempts to chase you away. Maybe, from the nests full of empty eggs. The battles are fierce, but fleeting; it will viciously try to chase you away but the effects are always the same: at some point, the eggs are crushed. As always, there’s nothing inside of them, but with one final wail, the bird will vanish into a plume of foul smoke.
Note: If you choose to encounter one of these bird-like creatures, your character will recognize they are not youma. It is impossible to tell if it is a single entity or if there are many. The bird does not seem to understand or care to listen to human words. It will always disappear in a malodorous plume of smoke and leave nothing but a foul odor and a clutch of empty, broken eggs behind. This RP can be used as a battle requirement as long as there are two powered characters involved; you must be interacting with another player’s powered character. This does not count as the one youma battle per stage for growth so characters can still use an NPC youma battle as well as this one for growth purposes. This can only be used as a battle requirement once per character, but there is no limitation for how many times a player can use this prompt.

Storm had finished fire dance training for the night and well, he'd admittedly been curious about these reports of strange eggs had his curiosity up and well quite frankly it was a good chance to maybe meet up with some other powered folks because he was sure someone would be out wanting to investigate the weird eggs.
After all, it was Destiny City no one was surprised when a new weird thing popped up but it wasn't out of the question to be super curious about it. He'd headed to the park where the reports of the sightings had been. Slowing down outside wondering if he should try to reach out and see if other dark mirror senshi were in the area or --- wait?
After a moment he realized he could feel an energy signature in the area.

Kissling spent a lot of time at the park, so he was rather familiar with it. However, as of late, he had been cooped up indoors because he'd been helping his employers get some book scripts and illustrations ready to be edited and published to meet a deadline, so it was the first time he'd actually been able to go out and about as a senshi in a long while. Unfortunately for him, that meant he hadn't managed to catch wind of the strange eggs that rumors kept talking about.
From a distance, he saw something sparkling in the low light of the setting sun that attracted his attention. Heading toward it to find out what was glinting at him so merrily, he found a nest of the strange eggs and, among them all, a Crimson Star Charm. Though he didn't recognize it at first, he reached down to pick it up and turn it over in his hand. "How'd you end up all the way over here?" he asked it with some amusement, thinking to himself. He'd heard something about birds collecting shiny things to add to their nests, but these were pretty big eggs. What kind of bird could they have belonged to?
A rasping cluck sounded from behind him and Kissling jumped up, startled. He turned toward the newcomer as he put away the star charm, prepared to use his power if he had to, only to see it was a giant, badly-proportioned, foul-smelling bird. Was this the thing that had laid all those eggs? Was this its nest?!
He realized he was probably in a very bad position indeed, especially because the bird might have possibly been even taller than him, though he wasn't about to go stand by it to check. He was tempted to put a hand up to cover his mouth and nose, but he was afraid to make any offensive moves, so he slowly took a step back...and stepped on an egg.
"- Huh?!" To his immense surprise, the egg was completely empty. However, that didn't stop the bird from becoming enraged and charging. Yelling in fright, Kissling leapt out of the way, and just in time, too. A sharp talon grazed his leg as the bird tried to scratch at him. But when he looked up from where he'd fallen on the ground, he noticed he'd fallen at someone else's feet - someone whose energy signature he had been too busy to notice. But he checked it then.
A chaos energy signature; the same type of chaos as his own. Kissling raised his gaze gradually as it travelled up the stranger to their face and he regarded them with stunned awe. They looked like quite the force to be reckoned with. He hadn't really ever run into other Dark Mirror Senshi on patrol before, so this was a pleasant surprise.
Quickly scrambling to his feet, he made an effort to stand beside the other senshi instead of behind him and tried not to seem too helpless. Still, what could they do against that thing?
"Uh...h-hi," he greeted with a sheepish smile. "I hope your magic is better than mine...because I really don't want to have to try kissing that thing."
Storm had made fairly decent time making his way to the park and locating the energy signature that he'd felt. It was another dark mirror senshi to his delight. He got to actually work with someone from his own faction, he hadn't interrupted Kissling just yet.
He had seen the other step on the eggs from a bit away and the chicken seemed to become angry. When Kissling ended up beside him Storm's brow lofted when they gave him a greeting and said they hoped his magic was better than theirs.
"Aloha." He responded before looking back towards the stinky chicken charging towards them, "I don't know if it's better but. . . . it might even the playing field."
"Venting Charge!" He called watching the ground erupt into volcanic vents and the air become charged with lightning from the attack. Leaving the chicken to slow down some and getting zapped with the static electricity that was being produced.
"We'll still have to do some work." He added wondering where the hell the demonic chicken came from, "Any idea what it is or where it came from?"
Venting Charge When storm calls out his attack this causes vents** to open in the earth much like volcanic vents in a three and a half foot radius around him. From within those vents small particles of ash and dust swell and swirl upwards in flurries causing static electricity that can shock anyone within range of the clouds or inside of the clouds; they reach a maximum height of seven foot, but become less dense the higher up the clouds reach. This is fairly easy to dodge as long as the people caught up in the affected area is aware of their surroundings. This attack can last up to twenty seconds and be used twice but it has a thirty second recharge.
**The vents can be trip hazards. There's no real damage from the vent's themselves; but the static/electric charge is at it's highest levels here.

"That sounds better to me," Kissling assured the handsome stranger as he watched him call out his senshi attack and stared in amazement as the earth beneath their feet cracked and split into fiery fissures. Not only that, but he could feel electricity in the air as - was that lightning?! - crackled in the air around them.
The sandy blonde was still gaping at the results of the senshi magic when the young man from earlier - he seemed about his own age, actually - commented that they still had work to do and asked if Kissling knew where the bird had come from.
The shorter Dark Mirror Senshi gave a sheepish smile and spread his arms in a helpless shrug. "One second I was picking up a star charm among some eggs in a nest and the next second it was standing right behind me. I don't know if those eggs and nest have something to do with it, but it sure seemed like it."
His brows steepled in concern as he stared at the bird and tried to think of how he could be of some use. His power caused his enemy to loose the will to be violent toward him if he kissed them, but as he had said, he had hoped not to kiss the creature if he could avoid it. If there were buildings nearby, he thought he could have tried to use some parkour moves to boost an attack against it, like using momentum from kicking off a wall, but no such luck.
There was breakdancing, though. Maybe if he did something like a spinning kick, he could kick its legs out from under it...? That meant having to get close to it again, though.
Ugh. Maybe he would have to kiss it after all.
"Um...you don't think...you could get it to stay still for a second, do you?" he asked his companion. "Or...if you can distract it, I can try to knock its legs out from under it and kiss it on the beak. I can't do much, but if my magic works on it, it should stop wanting to be so violent toward us at least. Um...unless you have a better plan?"
Storm was watching as the chicken thing was already confused standing in the middle of the volcanic lightning before nodding when the other said it sounded better to him.
Seemingly thoughtful Storm looked at the eggs when Kissling mentioned picking up the eggs. The chicken was slowed at least from getting to them as it navigated through the vents and lightning. "I think I have an idea how to distract it, you could probably use the ash and dust as cover too so it doesn't see you as well."
Storm then moved and picked up one of the eggs, "Here chiiick chick chick." He called hoping it would at least have some brain cell that made it pay attention like any other chicken would when called like that. Granted he wasn't sure it was a real chicken - and even then, it should at least pay attention to the egg. "I got your egg you want it?"
It was about that time the chicken started to square up to him. "I'm not sure kissing it -- is a great idea." He tried not to make a face when he mentioned that, assuming the others powers needed that kiss; "Lets use it as a last resort but getting it's feet out from under it is a good idea to start with. Once we get it on the ground we can figure out how to get it out of here." He said as he moved noticing the chicken monster watching him closely and looked as if it got angrier that he had an egg in his hand.

"Oh - good idea! Thank you," Kissling said at the suggestion to use the other senshi's ash and dust as cover. He still didn't like the idea of having to get up close and personal with it, but it seemed they had little choice in the matter if they were going to defeat it. As helpful and impressive as volcanic vents and lightning were, they could only do so much.
He tried and failed not to smile as the fiery-haired young man called to the monster chicken, giggling a bit at the taunt in spite of himself. He quickly reminded himself of what he had to do, however, and tried to refocus his attention on the tasks at hand.
"Trust me, I'd rather not have to kiss it if I don't have to either," Kissling answered, watching the massive avian. Nodding at the notion that they use his magic as a last resort, the pink Dark Mirror Senshi did his best to get closer as inconspicuously as he could with the cover of the raining volcanic ash.
Once he had gotten a reasonable proximity to the thing, he remembered something. His blown kisses were far less potent than those that used direct contact, but they still carried some of his magic and he'd managed to get them to work from up to ten feet away before. It was worth a try, wasn't it?
Kissing his palm, Kissling blew it toward the overgrown chicken before getting up, running over, and then attempting to drop down to the ground in order to knock its legs out from under it with the entry to a breakdancing backspin move. Using the space between his shoulder blades as a pivot point, he kicked out his leg to make contact with the bird's, hoping he had enough momentum, force, and surprise element to knock the creature off its taloned feet without too much trouble.
Storm nodded when Kissling said thank you, there was a chuckle, "Look I wouldn't wish anyone to kiss this-- except if there's another one, they can kiss."
The thought there might be two made Storm cringe a little though. It seemed the chicken was following the egg that he had. Storm seemed curious because while it didn't move a lot it would with it's head follow and turn it's head this way and that. So it was distracted when Kilssling got up to it.
He seen Kissling blow a kiss but honestly couldn't tell if it had any effect on the feathered fowl. However, that seemed to be okay for the moment.
There was a nod when Kissling managed to land a kick, it did take the chicken off it's feet, sitting down rather hard the smell when it landed though was a bit rough. Storm covered his nose for a moment with a free hand before chucking the egg that he'd been holding.
There was a mournful wail from the beast and the illusion with the volcanic lightning started to fade. Storm had an idea, "I think we need to ditch the eggs. Maybe it'll leave!" He said when the air was less pungent.
"Also nice kick, that worked well - even if it did leave quite a stank when that thing landed"

Giggling again, this time at the image conjured up by that the other Dark Mirror Senshi's comment of 'another one' for the first to kiss, Kissling shook his head. It reminded him of that 'now kiss' meme, but once more, he tried to refocus his attention on what he could do to solve their little problem.
Flaming-locks' attempt to get the giant monster bird's attention seemed to work decently enough; well enough that Kissling managed to land his kick regardless of if he'd landed his blown kiss. He was glad not to be entirely useless, especially not in front of the very cool senshi who had probably saved Kissling's own butt from being kicked.
Oh...were all those volcanic fissures and lightning real, or just illusions? the sandy blond decided to figure that out later when he heard Flaming-locks suggest that they ditch the eggs. He didn't need to tell Kissling twice.
Nodding in acknowledgement, he moved away from the bird and the eggs and was unable to prevent a faint blush from creeping up his neck into his cheeks when he was complimented. He didn't think a mere compliment should have been so flattering, but from someone you admired and especially from someone you found attractive, compliments tended to have an enhanced effect, he discovered.
"Thanks! But yeah, whew...I'm going to have to take a long shower after this," Kissling answered, trying to breathe through his mouth as he kept to the other senshi's side. "Your eruptions and lighting worked really well, too! Oh, and I'm Kissling, by the way! What should I call you?"
Storm watched the chicken monster as Kissling moved away from it. He didn't want it to try and charge again, he scooped up another egg and counted how many were left, looked like there were four left.
With a quick toss towards the chicken's feet there was another wail from the feathered fiend. Yeah this seemed to be the thing that was important to the chicken. "Look the eggs being smashed seemed to cause it some sort of reaction."
He tilted his head towards Kissling and chuckled lightly, "Yeah a shower and probably something to cleanse the nasal passages to get the smell out of them. Less I fear it's stuck in my sinuses for a while."
There was a grin, "Thanks, I'm Storm!" He replied and offered a fist bump to the other, "Nice to meet you Kissling!"

As their tactics changed from ditching the eggs to destroying them, Kissling seemed a little uncertain - at least until he saw that there was nothing in the eggs. How peculiar. And yet the weird monster bird seemed to react as though there was. Could it have had something to do with magic?
Whatever the case, the assurance that they weren't actually harming any potential babies that might have been in the eggs was all Kissling needed to pick one up to try to help his fellow Dark Mirror Senshi. Copying what he did, the sandy blond threw it at their attacker and hoped for the best. Even if he didn't manage to hit his target, at least there was some hope they could get said target to back off anyway. As the other young man had said, it hadn't seemed to react well to the eggs being thrown at it. Maybe because they ended up broken.
"Do you think maybe if we stomp on the rest, it'll stop bothering us?" he asked, figuring that if the bird were protecting the eggs, then without eggs to protect, it might finally go away.
The mention of a shower and something to cleanse the nasal passages caused Kissling to grin. "I could buy you a bouquet of flowers," he teased.
"Wow, what a cool name!" the pink and black senshi exclaimed, happily returning the fist-bump. "The pleasure's all mine, Storm!"
"It might stop bothering us I think we're about to find out!" Storm replied and then turned to watch as they broke the last egg and the poltrygheist disappeared in a puff of sulfuric cloud. Storm covered his nose and made a face and looked towards Kissling his cheeks flushed a little when the other offered to buy him flowers.
Though it was hard to tell if it was from the tease or from the smell of the chicken, "Lets get out of this area, Brother. And flowers would totally help get rid of the stank."
When they got into fresh air Storm sighed. "Also thank you, you're name is awesome too~!" He stretched a bit before debating, "I think there's a bubble tea place down the street. If you want to grab a drink before we part ways?" Storm asked nodding in the direction he was pretty sure he'd seen the little building and started heading that direction pausing to see if Kissling was coming. He needed some sort of hydration after that, maybe it'd help clear the sinuses.

With the bird disappearing as soon as the last egg was broken, Kissling’s jaw dropped in astonishment. “It was really that easy?” he asked in awe, turning to Storm. “You’re a genius!” He put his hand up for a high-five, grinning. The flush on the other senshi’s face only caused him to grin more broadly, though there was a faint tint of pink to his own complexion as well. He nodded when Storm suggested they get out of the area and quickly followed him into fresher air.
“Bubble tea?” Kissling repeated at Storm’s suggestion, his face lighting up. Though it may have been less because of the tea and more the excuse to be able to hang out with the other dark mirror senshi for longer even after their battle with the beastly-smelling bird. There weren’t any flower shops open at that time, he didn’t think, for him to be able to actually buy flowers for Storm just then anyway. But if he could manage to get his contact information for next time… “That’d be great! I know we’re probably both wanting to head home and change, but I’d really like to save your number or something with our mirror compacts so we can meet up again in the future. If you’d like to, of course.” He winked. “I was serious about those flowers.”
Hurrying along after Storm, the Senshi of Kisses happily picked up his pace to walk alongside him, eager to discuss what kind of magic he had just witnessed and to learn as much about his newfound Dark Mirror acquaintance as he could.
