Takes place at night on June 21st, 2025
A shadow appeared to flit out of the Mirrorshard that Kissling carried with him once the Dark Mirror Senshi summoned the Mirrorwraith to collect energy. It was about half the size of a cat as it slipped down from the convenience store rooftop that Kissling perched atop to seek out a victim from which it could siphon energy. Kissling watched it go, having a little difficulty keeping track of it when it was already dark out, but it was one of the only shadows that moved, so he just managed to spot it as it seemed to home in on a target - a young man leaving the convenience store with his purchases in tow.
The sandy-blonde senshi sighed as he lay himself down lazily at the edge of the roof. People rarely tended to look up, so he wasn't that concerned about being seen even with his bright pink and black outfit. He wasn't the one doing the energy-gathering anyway; his Mirrorwraith was. Still, he had to make sure to keep an eye on it to keep it from being spotted or shattered because if it got shattered, then so did the Mirrorshard it was summoned from and any energy it had collected would be lost.
Kissling didn't like stealing energy from people, especially innocent civilians, but it was a necessity for Dark Mirror Senshi, he'd been told. It was where Mirrorspace got all its power, including the power his court, as Dark Mirror Senshi, got to power up and to use their magical attacks. Without that energy, they couldn't hope to survive, much less keep up with the Negaverse or the White Moon Court. Still, it gave Kissling a guilting feeling in the pit of his stomach every time he watched the Mirrorwraiths he summoned do what he brought them out to do.
