Quote: Takes place around noon on June 12th, 2025 Jack wasn't sure if he missed Destiny City. It was full of memories both bitter and sweet. It was where he had awakened as a Dark Mirror Senshi and fallen in love, but also where he'd been betrayed and his parents had been murdered. Now, though, was the time to start anew.
Around August 3rd, 2018 at the age of 17, Jack had still been attending the military-style high school of Romano's Constitutional Haven. When a Negaverse agent murdered his parents, he was eager to seek vengeance. However, an older Dark Mirror Senshi, Sailor Ptolemaeus, tried to persuade him to do otherwise. He managed to do so long enough for Jack to recover from the shock of losing his parents and to turn his focus on grieving them instead. With no relatives in Destiny City, he was sent by the authorities to live in Wales where his family had friends willing to take him in until he came of age to be independent, especially since he was already so close to the age of 18.
Jack had finished what remained of his high school in Wales and took some college there. He also continued practicing parkour and freerunning as well as taking krav maga classes for self-defense so he would never fear being too weak to protect himself or anyone else ever again. In time, he came across his old henshin pen and was reminded of powering up as Sailor Sinope as well as his adventures as a Dark Mirror Senshi. He eventually decided to head back to Destiny City to find out what became of it, the Dark Mirror Court, and the Negaverse after all the years he'd been gone.
Now, at the age of 24, Jack was finally back in Destiny City as both his civilian self and Sailor Sinope, eager to get back to the powered life he once had where he felt free - especially now, with no more 'attachments' left to hold him back. Without anyone left to worry about in regards to people he cared about getting hurt, he didn't feel like he has anything left to fear. However, being fearless didn't pay the bills and he still had necessities to take care of in order to be independent and live on his own since having left his family's friends.
The first step had been to find a roommate he could split rent with. He was still taking college classes, so with college costs on top of rent, he knew he couldn't afford to live alone. At least not until he got a good-enough job. So he put an ad up online and on flyers around the city asking if anyone would be willing to splint rent with him for a two-bedroom apartment.
Fortunately, it didn't take long for someone to answer his ad. They had gotten in touch long enough to agree to meet at a coffee shop at which Jack waited, eager to determine whether or not he and this stranger would get along alright. He doubted there would be too much of a problem. He didn't plan to spend much time at the apartment, anyway.flowykid ((Please tell me if there's anything you'd like me to change!))

Hanako knew a thing or two about getting roomates. More importantly, he knew what roomates not to look for. And after leaving his previous roommate for doing something simple like stepping on Cu Siths tail, he found himself hunting for another one once again. And whats a better roommate than an absent one that promises to pay half the rent? Though those written details interested Hanako first, he admitted the given name the person used in the add flyer was.. familiar somewhat. Like he had heard it before. Or rather, maybe he had heard someone scream it before in frustration. Burnett... Hanako decided not to think of it too much. There was no point remembering what could potentially be a ghost memory. Especially if he ended up hating this roommate from the first meeting. Dressed in his usual casual clothes, he headed for the coffee shop they agreed to meet up in. Thankfully during a time where they were far past the rush hour. It would be easier to see who looked like they were waiting for someone. He scanned the coffee shop with a brief glance, heading to the counter first to make an order. Once that was done, his eyes caught the sight of red hair. Their back was turned towards Hanako, so he had yet to see his face. But they seemed to be the only one who seemed to be waiting for someone so... Hanako debated for a moment before grinning, taking the freshly made latte and heading to speak behind the strangers chair. " You look too cute to be left waiting all by yourself" he flirted, the evident jest in their tone. Finding it amusing he hasn't even seen the strangers face, yet he could say that. Despite being 98% sure this was the guy he was supposed to meet, Hanako was not one for boring greetings." Waiting for someone? Lucky guy, huh?"

When Jack turned around and laid eyes on Hanako, he immediately got the sense of something familiar. He couldn't have been sure if it was the obnoxious, grinning expression on his face, the way he carried himself, his overall general demeanor, or a combination of things. but it made Jack think trickster. And whatever was familiar also included reminding him of who he used to be back in his early days as a senshi. So cheeky and arrogant, like the whole world could hate him and he was sure he would have no trouble bearing their hatred. How naïve he'd been back then. Was this Hanako - because it was undoubtedly the Hanako he had come there to meet - the same? From his words to Jack, the answer seemed like a yes.
"Too cute? Well, then, it's a good thing you didn't keep me waiting long, isn't it?" Jack answered with a casual smile back, though his complexion had reddened considerably. He propped an elbow on the table and rested his cheek in his hand. "I'm the lucky one since it seems like you have a good sense of humor. You'll likely need one to survive living with me. Even if I don't expect to be home all that much."
He gestured to the seat across from him. "Why don't you have a seat and we can discuss our potential roommate arrangements while you enjoy your drink?"

Hanakos expression faltered slightly as the other turned towards him, making room for a fleeting wave of recognition across his face before softening into a gentle smirk at the others answer. “ And I’m regretful I didn’t come here much earlier” he jested, feeling satisfied at seeing the faint red blooming on the other cheek. “ Need? Now I'm curious what happens to previous roomates for you to know you can’t room with someone boring” Hanako took his seat across Burnett, his drink in front of him as he took a longer moment than necessary to look at Burnett, as if trying to look for something on his face. “ Straight to business? Not even a ‘hi’, ‘hello’, ‘ how have you been doing since the last time we spoke to each other’. Hanako took a sip and looked as if he was thinking. “ J erry Burnett… joe Burnett.. Jayden.. Joel.. Jaden..Jasper.. “ he would continue to list out names that start with ‘Ja’ if he wasn’t stopped soon.

Snickering at Hanako’s answer, Jack shook his head incredulously as he waited for his blush to die down and the heat in his face to cool. “I wouldn’t say I can’t room with someone ‘boring’, exactly – unless you call anyone without a sense of humor boring,” he added with a laugh, realizing that may very well have been the case for Hanako. “But I tend to get on a lot of people’s nerves very quickly, especially if they can’t take a joke, which is why having a sense of humor is important if we’re going to get along.” He gave his peer a pointed smirk. “Something tells me you tend to get on people’s nerves just as easily for probably the same or similar reasons, though, so I doubt I have to explain in any more detail than that.” Then Jack paused. “Is there something on my face?” he asked, perhaps referring to how long Hanako seemed to stare at him.
When the ad-answerer asked about him being ‘straight to business’, Jack sneered and shook his head again. But then he stopped when he head Hanako continue to speak as his sneer slowly faded into an open-mouthed ‘oh’ of surprise and then a broad-toothed grin. “Tone! I thought you seemed familiar, but I didn’t realize we’d gone to school together! At least before I ran away from home,” he added with another peal of laughter. “How have you been? It’s been ages! Sorry for not remembering, but lots has happened. I’ve spent the last several years in the UK. Only recently came back to Destiny City,” he explained animatedly. “As for names – just stick to Burnett, please.”
