Sub had instructed his team that they were to raid the base of the relatively new villainous team called Team Dim Sun, a group that strives to enslave the Pokemon of Almia via hypnotic technology derived from Cipher technology. This cannot be allowed to happen.
One by one the Snagems would appear via teleportation, materializing on the docks of the volcanic island of Boyeland. Its volcanic nature was clear from the moment they saw the rock ground from which steam regularly escaped. As they looked towards the 'town' they would find very few buildings here, the island sparsely developed outside of the dock. They really did leave things to nature here, huh? Oh well.
"Ah! Almia! Been a minute since I've been here." Sub said, stretching as he took in the warm sun and the sea breeze.

It was humid and hot for Deo, he was soaked and not from rain, but by the sweat off his fur. He walked on the shore following sub, His normally shiny and smooth hair was all wet and his normally perked up mane was all fell down.
"Geesh its hot here" Deo said, but he caught up real fine though. "So what now...." he would think

Keiko was immediately uncomfortable upon arrival. She couldn't wear shoes due to problems with the size of her feet and the fur growing on them, and the steam rising from the ground made her worry. The general heat in the air wasn't good for her either thanks to the fur covering her body.
Absinthe, on the other hand, was not only fine - she seemed energyzed by the environs. "Alright, time to wreak havoc on another crappy team and trash some more Cipher tech!" she cheered maliciously, all too excited for some action after a year of focusing on Pokemon purification. Her Porygon Phone was nowhere to be seen, thankfully. She somehow had the wherewithal to realize that streaming her team breaking into Ranger territory would actually be bad for the team somehow.

Brian, Amber, and Rachel joined Sub and the rest of their teammates, Claydol teleporting each of them one by one to the Almia region. This was a new place for all of them, and despite the serious nature of their task here, none of them could say they weren't excited to explore the region. Unfortunately, they hadn't taken into account how hot it actually was, and Brian and Rachel looked at Amber as the Froslass hybrid unconsciously released cold air to keep herself cool. "I'm thinking it was a bad idea for me to come here," she said, as her friends moved just a little closer to her so that she could keep them cool, as well. "It's way too blasted hot to be comfortable."

Freth and I found our way arriving in Boyeland by means of the Claydol express. Freth and I looked around and noted that it was a rather mountainous area, completely barren and hot as hell. So hot in fact that there was steam coming out of random orifices in the ground. It led to the thought of first of hot springs and such, but as we continued to look, there didn’t seem to be anything of the such. This was for all intents a volcanic region, and a rather active one at that. “My God, Weavile is going to be absolutely miserable here.” I said to Freth.
“Absol is probably not going to care too much for this either. That fur coat doesn’t exactly come equipped with air conditioning.” Freth said. “This Dim-sun-dim-wits-something-or-others couldn’t have picked a better place to go?” Freth then asked. “Honestly, who really thinks that hanging out around a active volcano is a good idea?”
“Citadark isle.” I said to remind her. Freth had to concede the point.

Boyleland was hot. The air was warm and stifling, and it took little more than a casual glance at the scenery to understand why. The settlement—calling it a "town" was charitable—had been built on a spit of land between the sea and a large volcano that must have been active, with steam vents in the middle of the settlement.
Monique turned up on the docks with her team of Alcremie, Marowak, Primarina, Malamar, Toxicroak, and Honchkrow ready to go. She looked around as the other Snagems materialized in, sweat starting to stick to her furry forehead. She moved in toward Amber, hoping for a draft of cold air.
"Is Almia just Alola but with more volcano?" she wondered out loud. "And how does this place handle hybrids, anyway?" She hoped Almia was not another Kalos. Why is there even a town here in the first place?

Cera would be the first of the three to be teleported over, taking a breath at the sea breeze. "It's been mostly nice seeing the region again. Kind of," she remarked. "I just hope my intel's been sound."
Sol would be the next to arrive, in time to hear the remark. "We'll be seeing soon enough. Though, pretty sure the last time I came here was when you graduated from the Ranger School. So, how much is the Ranger Union aware of with Dim Sun?"
"Enough to know they're bad news when they aren't bumbling around," Cera answered. "Especially with what this project feels like it'll be. The Union hasn't been keen on making a move yet, but it'd probably be too late by then."
At this point, Amaranth would finally arrive too, adjusting the strap keeping her hammer in place. "Well worst case if there's a machine to break, I'm covered, but I'm nervous about anything of mine being hypnotized..."
"Just keep the Snag Machine ready. Even the newer ones are still based on the Union's Capture Styler tech, so it should be able to undo the effect like the Styler does. Keeping them in their balls should keep them safe, too." Cera couldn't deny that she felt nervous herself, that this was actually happening.

Darts lands with the rest of the group, his black wings swooping him down and onto the ground. For a little while of the duo's initial team-up travel was a bit awkward, as Ogerpon flat refused to go back into the Master Ball. However, they had managed to compromise and find a solution.
"Pon, pooon..." It complained, hopping off its designated perch on Darts' back. It's hoooot here.... That had been the compromise, Ogerpon got to do whatever it wanted and Darts had to shuttle them around like a common Mudbray. Like most of his compromises it was none of what he wanted, but it worked. He could feel the icky stickiness setting in as soon as he set down on the island, his jacket flapping miserably as sweat started pouring out of every pore on the inside of the thing.
"Yeah, tell me something I don't know..." He ran an arm across his forehead, wiping away some more of his condensation off his gilded crest as Ogerpon availed itself of another mask, its whining combining with the element change to beat the heat as it shifted to the Wellspring Mask, little water droplets running out of its face and down the sides of the artifact, soothing and cooling her.
"Pyon pon po pon." Your jacket appears distressed, Just Darts. She moved near the struggling garment and shot a little stream of water from her mouth like a fountain, thoroughly drenching it and Darts all at the same time. He bit back a couple of sarcastic responses, just feeling some relief from the heat as he shaded his eyes, looking up towards the volcano looming above them. Wherever Team Dim Sun was, hopefully it had air conditioning.

Lykas and Clare arrived at Boyleland via Claydol, Odd choosing to stay behind after taking a moment to look into the area. Boyleland was, apparently, volcanic. Not a good place for someone with a massive heat intolerance.
"Well... What do we do from here?" Lykas asked, finally managing to rein his annoyance in. He had to admit it wasn't anything related to what was happening directly so much as he was enjoying living a mostly normal life for the last year. It was a welcome return-to-form for the team to be back to familiar tasks but t the same time? It would have been nice for life to just continue as it had been recently.
Clare looked out at the volcanic region around them as they appeared. "This is such a unique environment... How do people live like this?" They asked, not directing the question toward anyone in particular. It was very apparent this had to require some unique adaptations, considering how it appeared people were reacting to Amber's presence.
Lykas wasn't able to produce cold air in the same manner as Amber but he did manage to set one of his ponytails to "fan mode", blowing a very weak Icy Wind onto himself as it spun in place like the blades of a fan.
"That looks extremely convenient... Hopefully I can start tapping into some of my own hybrid abilities before too long... I'm not sure I can do anything quite like that, though." Clare remarked toward both Lykas and Amber having ways to deal with the heat.

The quartet would soon arrive onto the dock, Aria dusting herself off as she looked to the rest of the group. "I hope that this doesn't take too long. Hate to have to reschedule my collab with Mint Phantump. Again." Aria said, looking at the rest of the gathered Snagems. "So whats the plan here beside madly charge in?"
Reno would shrug and look towards the distance past the dock. "Do our best to not re-enact poor historical island invasions and pray this bay isn't named for Grumpig?"
Leslie would roll her eyes before stepping past to take a look at the place herself instead of what glimpses she could catch between the bodies and legs in her way. "....Not much to really need to sneak by here, is there?" She said, glancing over towards where she could see Ogerpon. It had been a year and yet, she still could not figure out exactly how she felt about the little Pokemon. Was she jealous it was stealing her style or find it cool that there was that sort of style in so many different Pokemon types?
Beau could only offer a shrug as he looked past Leslie's hammer. "I'm hoping they have a more prepared base, otherwise all of us being here might be a slight amount of overkill."

The bigger towns like Vientown or Pueltown have a good few around and they're pretty chill about it, at least. If nothing else, it's definitely not as bad as I remember something like Kalos being."

With being in an always perfect weather in the Fairy Realm, Ulla was having a tough time adjusting to the sudden change in temperature. Even though she was an islander herself. She looked back at Lucario and Hisuian Zorura as they were both also sweating. Zorura though, was struggling more from being out in daylight. "Let's put you two in your Pokeballs for now." She said as she pulled out their respected Pokeballs. Zorura noticed their Pokeball and made a small squeak of shock and hid behind Lucario. Lucario placed his hand on Zorura's Pokeball. "Why don't you just have him in your bag for now? While you were gone, Zorura....Zorura believes Leon abandoned him. Leon didn't even explain why to him." Ulla was a bit shocked that her brother didn't even do that for the poor Pokemon. She nodded as she knelt down to his level and opened up her bag.
At first, they hesitated. But quickly ran into her bag and got shelter from the harmful sun. "Alright, that takes care of one. Lucario, rest for now until needed." Lucario bowed and went back into his Pokeball. Ulla looked around, taking in the scenery. "This is my first time being here....I'm guessing this new team has heard of us already?" Ulla asked.

Crystal would arrive via Claydol first, with the hybrid stretching out her fingers as she felt the heat on her skin. It was somewhat uncomfortable, but nothing she couldn't tolerate. Not unlike feeling the oil slick of poison chi in another reality. It wasn't at a temperature that it would start to feel like her skin was burning... Yet. Maybe if they got to the volcano proper. Either way, she'd wait for the others to show up.
Aile wouldn't be extremely long after, taking her bomber jacket off and slinging it on her shoulder. She'd still have on a long sleeved shirt underneath, but she had a little bit of tolerance to the heat with her time in Orre. Not as much as when she finally returned to Snagem in a more positive way, but still, she preferred heat to the cold. The woman made sure she had her team all set up right, with an old friend showing up that hadn't had a chance to stretch his limbs in a long while. "Alright... Let's hope we can do this quick."

"Yeah, it's very hot here. That's to be expected of a volcanic island." Sub responded to everyone complaining about the head, though he couldn't blame them, it was indeed hot. He was glad to have changed into some shorts before he left. "Hopefully this doesn't end like Citadark." Sub responded to Blizzard's comment about the old Cipher owned island. "Sneak? No, no need. The Ranger Unions is going to know we're here, let alone Dim Sun themselves, so instead we're going to have to move fast and hard. But yes, Ulla, they've heard of us. According to Cera we're the one thing they were hoping and praying they didn't have to deal with before they got their little schemes. Unfortunately Arceus is a holds off kind of god." He said to Leslie and Ulla, looking off at the volcano itself on the horizon beyond the small town. "There is a cave entrance at the base of the volcano on this island, it's there where we're expecting to find Team Dim Sun, excavating for something called the Red Gem. Apparently there are three of these gems called the Tears of Princes and it's with them they intend to power their machines. Their leader is suppose to be with them today as they expect to finish the excavation and unearth the Red Gem. What they aren't expecting is us. Let's go." Sub said as he took out a Dusk Ball and released Vlademar the Hydreigon, the hydra letting out a prideful three headed roar as Sub climbed onto its back, the dragon then rocketing north towards the volcano. What few people that were milling about the island were quick to run off. ----- The inside of the volcano was as typical as any other, extremely hot with flowing magma all about, the hard rock they could walk on still hot but not hot enough to melt their shoes as long as they didn't stand in one spot for too long, that is if they didn't come with sturdy enough boots. Inside the cave were several Fire and Rock type Pokemon, all of them standing around with blank expressions on their face, that was until a Snagem came into range and the Pokemon would immediately go on the attack by either firing off jets of flame or hurling rocks. Sub would do his best to ignore these Pokemon, Vlademar ducking and dodging them as he could, the Snagem leader keeping his sights ahead to travel deeper into the cave where he expects to find Team Dim Sun, the few stray tools, crates, and other signs of human activity he spotted along the way indicating he was travel in the correct direction. With a few more minutes of travel he would be proven correct as he spotted numerous Dim Sun grunts operating heavy mining machinery and using pickaxes to tear away at the walls and ground, unknown that a three headed dragon and others were soon coming upon them. The volcano would routinely rumble. Was their activity making this place unstable? (Wild Pokemon found in Volcano Cave will attempt to attack you, you may battle them if you wish or even capture one wild Pokemon that is not 3rd stage. You may also have your character come upon the Dim Sun grunts.)

Amber sent a glare at Sub at his comment. "Don't make me freeze you in place," she threatened, though she wouldn't actually do it unless he gave her a reason. Hearing that they didn't need to sneak, Brian and Amber both gave feral grins, leaving Rachel to wonder just what the two were planning. "Ooh, we get to destroy something on purpose for once?" Brian asked, and Amber was quick to follow up. "I can't wait to see the looks on those punks' faces when we come strolling into their turf," she said. The three were quick to take off after Sub, two of them wanting to do some purposeful damage for once.
The trio faltered a bit from the heat inside the volcano, Amber moreso than the others, but none stopped. For some reason, Rachel picked up on the excitement her two friends were feeling, and she couldn't help but wonder just what they'd gotten themselves into. They didn't have to wait long before Rachel was accosted by a Gible that decided she looked tasty. Drevab, feeling the presence of a fellow Dragon-type, let himself out of his Pokeball and smacked the smaller Pokemon away with an Iron Tail. The Gible wasn't expecting this, and it came back with a growl, its mouth wide open as it went to use Bite. Drevab didn't even try to dodge, knowing that his wider bulk would make that difficult. Instead, he turned so that his back was facing the Gible, leaving the spikes on his back exposed. Rachel had found that the spikes were explosive, and the Gible apparently didn't know that as it latched onto one of the spikes, promptly getting blown up before it could let go.
This infuriated the smaller Dragon-type, and it launched a Dragon Breath that Drevab countered with a Flamethrower. The bigger attack overpowered the Dragon Breath, hitting the Gible and dealing more damage than what Rachel would have expected. Hmm, must have been a critical hit. Thankfully, Drevab wouldn't have to worry about that with his own ability, but that didn't mean he couldn't deal them every now and then. Taking the chance, Rachel tossed a Pokeball that she had on hand, the red and white sphere smacking solidly into the Gible's large jaw and sucking the Pokemon inside in a flash of red light. It snapped shut and fell to the ground, shaking violently for nearly a minute before giving one last click, telling Rachel the capture was successful. She picked up her new Pokeball and stashed it on her belt, then turned to Drevab. "I'm going to put you back in your ball for now," she said. The shiny Turtonator gave her a glowering look, apparently not at all happy that he had to leave the volcanic area. "Don't give me that look," Rachel told him, a scolding note in her voice. "I'm not going to take the chance that you could be used against me here. Besides, you're the only one on my team that can actually stand this environment, so I need to keep you in reserve in case something happens." This seemed to appease the Fire/Dragon-type, and he allowed her to recall him.
Brian and Amber watched the battle with interest. Hmm, Rachel had only had Drevab for about a year, so to see her working so well with him, and knowing how to curb his stubborn tendencies, made them both smile. It seemed she was doing well with the dual type. That being said, she just caught a second Dragon-type, albeit one that was part Ground-type, as well, so how well she would work with having two of them was anyone's guess. They would just have to wait and see. Once Rachel had secured Drevab's ball back in its place, she turned to her companions and gave a nod, and the trio continued deeper into the volcano, eager to meet the Dim Sun group and show them the error of their ways.
