Cold Snap Solo or RP Format Counts as 5 RP growth Points Solo word minimum is 750, RP post minimum is 7 As the year comes to an end, an abnormal cold snap has taken over Tendaji. The mountains of Zena are covered in a blizzard, and even the desert of Oba is feeling a bit of an abnormal chill. [ What do you get up to during the cold? Do you find a place to warm up, or check up on a friend? ]

Sarasnata 1 She had returned to Zena, to the family Tavern. Things were different. She made a good friend back in Matori, having been out there to make sure her brother was alive. She confirmed that then fled back to Zena. Back to her Mother and Father. Safe. She sighed. She couldn't bring herself to talk with her brother. He had his own family. His own life now. She wasn't the little girl who was chasing after him in the snow anymore. She looked up to the tavern door. Walking in she blinked. Her Mother was out, there was a note telling her that her parents were out in a bigger town for supplies. She nodded. Then set about to making a stew. That would hold for a few days. She hummed softly as she busied about the kitchen. This would be her routine for a few weeks. Minding herself until someone came to stay, then she'd listen to their stories. She looked to the empty main room, no one would be here in this weather. The worst the snow, the more the Tavern seemed empty.

Rydandaroch 1 He approached the Tavern, memories flooding him. But he knew his sister had been there, he hadn't seen her but his kids had and they had told him of a lady spying on him that matched her description. He had made the effort to come up here, knowing the earful he would get from his mother, but he had not known what had happened to them. He swallowed. Maybe his siter would be around..Dad was good to have in one's corner too. He opened the door, he was the patriarch of his own family but well, he would never loose his fear/respect for his mother, he loved her but he was sure she wouldn't take his absence as well as Dad, even though they had left him and somehow the note had failed to leave an impact. He had been on a long journey ever since. He had stowed his kinfa in the stable. Home...but not home. He shook his head and pulled off his cloak. "Hello?" Not many other would be out during this storm.

Sarasnata 2 She blinked as she looked up. Then around. That voice...that was...oh no. Why was he here?!? She felt panic rise up in her throat. This wasn't good. He shouldn't be here. He should be back with his family. She squeaked as she dropped the bowl. It clattered to the ground. Not broken thankfully. She knelt to clean it up calling out. "Ry, go back!!!" she squeaked. "Your not needed here. Leave!!!" she quickly finished cleaning up and turned to bolt for the stairs. She stumbled when her lungs squeezed. Her breath got short and she started coughing badly.

Rydan 2 Ignoring her he rushed to his sister, concern in his eyes. "Sara here, hold an arm up it helps open up the airway." He supported her as best he could. She was still such a slight frame. His beloved sister. She was really here. He felt all the childhood memories rush back. He loved her so. "That cough sounds bad, is that part of what Dad meant?" He felt guilty about how his life had turned out, he had followed his fellow kinfa riders out and what had happened? One lost at sea, one broken from heartbreak that just up and disapeared, then he had met Thea and his life had changed for the better, and better..and better. Now he had his own empire and he refused to be embarrassed by it. He had always wanted a big family. Now at least he had a chance at the missing half. He had found them.

Sarasnata 3 No, no, no. He shouldn't be here. He can't be here. He was suppose to be happy in Matori. Away from all this. She shoved him back as best as her weak body could before her hand reached up to grasp one of the many handholds around the Inn, their Dad had set them up when one healer mentioned the method to help with the coughs. She held it as she took her breaths, which winded up in her whining. Her ribs hurt. She looked at her brother. "Why are you here?" she rasped. "You shouldn't be. You should be back in Matori, back with your Leaf Wife and legacy." There was some bitterness there. She might of been the sweet one of the family, but even the sweetest had their flaws. Hers was thinking her brother went out to go find a cure for her...only to find out he just abandoned them. "You left."

“ I did leave and then I came back, I searched for days and found no one not a trace of any of you, I had no idea what happened the note if there was one left was gone or hidden, maybe whoever looked after the place bumped it off a table or something before I arrived. I was heart broken and would come back occasionally by kinfa to check. I hoped you were all alive as there was no sign of struggle and no news.”
“Then I met Thea and I still checked, you were gone for years. But i never forgot I never gave up hope. I mossed you so much there was no one to tell all my deepest darkest secrets to.”
His green kinfa Tartarus squawked agreement outside.

Saras 4 She struggled to stand up. Moving to lean on a pillar as she heard him out. "Mom left the note in the Kinfa stalls...she knew that's where you would go. It wasn't there when we got back." Years. Years? "We went to Zena. Tried to find a healing spring out there." She was getting angrier. He knew where the Zena Inn was. "That's kinfa dung that you kept searching. Once you had your family you stopped looking outside of Matori." her lungs were burning she need to sit down. She moved out of the kitchen and past him to sit near the warm hearth. She panted. "Once you had your family that was it. You stopped trying to find us." she bit out. It was obvious she wasn't the vibrant child he grew up with. The illness took its toil on her.

"Alright fine, if that is the way you want to be Sarasnata, stuff this reunion, you are all obviously happier without me sso I will return to your nieces and nephews and my beautiful wife, you need not tell Father I was here, Mom wouln't want to see me either I'm sure. Fare thee well little sister."
He huffed and swirled his cloak away from her. His life hadnt been all butterflies and faerues either he was done with being crapped on. "Tartarus," he called to his kinfa, prepare for flight we arr not wanted here."

Saras 5 She let him go, shivering as she knew she couldn't get up to stoke the fire just yet. Ah. She looked around before weakly calling out. "Nadyr..." Rydan would hear a scrambling sound before a mid-sized snapptrotter barreled into him and headbutted him inside. The beast huffed before going over to Saras to help with the fire. Using its long jaws to toss some logs on. She stroked the beast sweetly. "Nadyr...thank you..." She coughed again. This time into the handkerchief that was oddly splotchy. As she pulled the cloth from her, Rydan...if he was paying attention would see the blood on the cloth before she tucked it away to rock on the chair. She hated these bouts...they always left her scared. After her trip in Matori, where she met Morleaes...she came home with Nadyr. The beast quickly melted her parents hearts with his energitic aura and willingness to help. He picked up on small tasks easily.

Well his plans had abruptly been changed. Tartarus had just looked up to see his master headbutted by another family pet. Tartarus went back to eating the critter he had caught for dinner. Rydan had gotten himself into this he could get himself out. Rydan's eyes widened at the headbutt. He was winded and doubled over. He hadn't been gonked like that in a very long time and he regretted to say that he was getting to be a bit of an older Dad. He grunted. "You have a new friend I see..why precisely does he want me to stay?" He turned and looked at her, saw the blood and asked with real fear in his voice. "Saras? Has it always done that?" He staggered back over to her and hoped the snaptrotter wasn't about to pummel him again.

Saras 6 She looked to the fire. "Yes." she answered softly. "Its been like this since before you left. We didn't know what sparked it, but I had seen Mother's Mother around a few times before Dad called her out and off." she sniffled. "One healer said that it seems like I was poisoned, but one of my bloodlines must of fought off the worst of it...instead. My lungs are weak...I get sick easily in certain conditions...I feel like I have water in my lungs..." Nadyr rumbled. Nuzzling her as he settled at her feet. She stroked him. "Nadyr...you never were the brightest brother...he's named after you...its your name backwards."

Rydan 6 She had definitely gotten sassier with age but her naming of the critter after him in a fashion was perhaps the most flattering thing she could have done. He stood shocked for a bit and that was a rare occurance when you had 6 ish kids and a slew of grandkids, some of which could summon fire or lightning. "Missed me that much did you?" He smiled faintly, rubbing a rib that was most definitely bruised. "I will ask if there are any specialist healers in Matori, supposedly there is a hot spring Inn that is good for healing perhaps you could take a friend there." He assumed she had someone to go with her, maybe even their parents would go. He would but he felt like she may not want much of his help until perhaps the bad memories faded of all the years he wasn't there. He was here now. "He is a handsome critter where did you get him?"

Saras 7 She sighed softly. "Matori, where I saw your family you built up." she hummed. "Mom heard stories...seems a few locals are convinced we abandoned you and won't help us start an Inn out there. Mom was talking about starting a new one to try to be closer to you..." She stroked the snapptrotter as she spoke. "You either need to do damage control or talk to Mom...I suggest the damage control...Mom looks murderous." She looked up to him. "...Did you wanna stay for dinner? Talk more."

"I will have to talk to Mom eventually. Dinner would be appreciated, I think your friend cracked a rib, the thought of flying at this very moment makes me a bit naseuous. "I would like if there was another Inn started closer to us, I never wanted the split for the record. What sort of damage control? Wouldn't going to Mom sort of be getting to the root of the problem?" He had a temper too..maybe talking to Mom wouldn't be better. But it was what he wanted to do..eventually. He wished there was a calm way to go about it but something like this, the bandage had to be ripped open and old wounds would bleed. Bah. "Can I help you with dinner?" He wiggled his fingers at the snaptrotter in a friendly way. He still loved all animals and was glad that his sister had a mighty defender by her side..as he had not been. (Not really his fault but his Mom would see it another way.
