Getting home was no easy task, not when you were busy shivering the whole way, huddled down as he walked. Ian had spent the whole long walk home shivering and trying to also comfort the ancient senshi who had just been plunged into the city's wild seasonal magic. Fumbling with the keys when he arrived at their front door, because his pale fingers simply did not want to work and hold anything, the key was jammed into the lock and turned as he pushed the door open.
“Too cold.” He mumbled, teeth chattering as a shiver ran through him. Stepping inside, the door was closed behind Sasha, while he toed off his shoes. “I need a hot soak…” As hot as he could take it, because he was pale and he was certain his lips were discolored as well, he was sure the bats were the cause of this and he could only hope it would pass. Maybe, once he was out of the bathroom, he could look online and see if anyone in the city was talking about bat attacks and cold.
“Sasha…?” Turning his focus onto the other, slowly, shivering again as he rubbed his hands together. “I think you could use a warm soak as well, after being dumped into cold water like you were.” But he didn’t know how that would work, all things considered, and he wasn’t going to make the other uncomfortable. Truth be told Ian really didn’t care about sharing the tub with someone, mostly because he was too damn cold to care, but he didn’t know what the other's thoughts would be on the matter.

Staring down at his hands as they walked, he kept checking to make sure none of his skin had actually melted off. Everything seemed okay other than where he’d gotten hit with that scid by the snake. The fact he was freezing from being soaked in ice water wasn’t that bad in comparison to what he thought had happened.
Keeping close to Ian, he shivered and nodded in agreement to the mention of it being too cold. A soak sounded good, but as they looked at him and mentioned it again, he blinked slowly and nodded. Shaking off his wet coat on the mat by the door where they told him to leave the umbrella or wet shoes, Sasha continued to lose layers until he stood in boxers and an undershirt he’d stolen from the other. It was nearly a dress on him but with all the layers he’d had on it was only slightly damp.
“Warm soak… tea.” That was that drink they always made for him but usually it was cold by the time he pulled it from the fridge. He’d seen them make it hot so that sounded good after things. A frown crossed his face as he started to wander towards the stairs to go upstairs to where the bathroom was, remembering that the night had started with him finally convincing Ian to go to his homeworld with him. Now he didn’t have the energy for it as he stood on the steps with his teeth chattering from the cold.

Turning on the stairs he offered a hand to the other. “Come on, we’ll do homeworld things tomorrow, or the next evening, when we’re both feeling better.” Since he wasn’t sure when the magical cold would pass, because it had to be magically induced, he was just hoping it would end quickly. He knew that they were supposed to go to space tonight, and he had wanted to go, but there was no way that was happening now - they were already home.
“Tea sounds good. I think I’ll make some for myself as well.” Anything to warm himself up, Ian was glad he kept a second comforter in the hallway closet as well.
“Come on.” Flexing his fingers towards the other as he waited. “You can borrow some of my bed clothing as well.” Not that he even needed to say it, Sasha just ended to borrow most of his clothing, Ian had come to accept that his clothing was also apparently Sasha’s as the other liked his clothing. He wasn’t sure why, he wasn’t even sure his clothing would be to the others taste if it wasn’t owned by him, as he didn’t understand someone not wanting their own clothing but being comfortable sharing with someone else.

Nodding, Sasha followed along and felt a bit better since the terrible night didn’t mean no visit to his world. “Yes soon.” Speaking up a bit more, he grabbed Ian’s hand and kept up the pace.
Stealing their shirts was a given at this point but they’d gotten him his own pants and shorts since he was shorter which made sense. It had been a thing after Ian had caught him nearly tripping over the extra fabric while hurrying down the stairs one night. It was a bit sad but he understood their worry and would rather listen to what they said instead of worrying them more.
“Bandage?” Looking down at the acid burn on his leg, he knew they’d need to put something on it but he wasn’t sure what. It hurt and stung but the main issue was how cold they both were. “After warm.” Nodding to himself and to them, he hurried along.

“Yeah, we can pull out the first aid kit after a bath, the hot soak might help your leg as well.” It might get off anything which might still be on the other's skin, the shower serving multiple purposes, Ian was shivering as he made it up to the second floor and headed down the hall to their shared bedroom and into the bathroom.
“I’ll let you decide on how warm you want the water.” Because he didn’t think it would be a good idea to make it too hot, where Sasha might wind up being burnt, considering they were already trying to tend to themselves after some magical attack by the city. “Then bed, after we’re both warmed up and you’ve had your leg looked over.” Not knowing that the hot water wasn’t going to help him, he wouldn’t feel warm till the next morning, Ian had no idea he was in for a rough night.

Another nod and a light hum came from the mothy male as he got the last few layers of wet clothing off. It hurt when it slid over where he’d gotten acid on him but then he was focusing on getting the water right.
It was warmer than usual, not boiling though, and once he was content with the temperature he hopped in and hummed happily at the warm water. It felt nice and soon he was feeling much warmer than he had, even as his pale skin started to turn pink from the heat. It stung at first when the water had run over his leg but then he got used to it and he figured it would wash away anything else left on him.
Looking over at Ian, he tilted his head and motioned for them to join because they still looked really cold. He could see them shivering and the little bumps on their skin that came with the cold weather.

Shivering the whole time Ian stripped slowly, too cold to really want to undress, he was hoping the hot water would help. Once Sasha had gotten into the tub Ian joined him, sliding into the hot water with a sigh. “Nothing, I don’t even feel it.” Huffing, he was not pleased, the darker haired male leaned back as he got comfortable while not bumping into the other.
“You’re warm though? No more burning sensation?” Wanting to at least make sure one of them was feeling better. “I’ll look the burns over once we’re out of here and apply bandages if you need them.” Or if the other simply wanted them wrapped to keep the areas covered and protected.
“I suppose whatever the bats did is going to be sticking around for a bit.” How long he didn’t know but he wasn’t pleased with the prospect of being cold for any length of time. “If you get too warm let me know, we can run some cold water. It won’t do anything to me…I doubt I can feel any colder than I already do.”

Turning back to look at them, concern washed over his face as he turned the water up warmer in hopes that it would help. Grabbing one of the washcloths and dunking it in the hot water coming from the faucet, he offered it to them in hopes it would help.
“Not cold.” His skin still tingled a bit but the burning and irritation weren’t as bad now. Frowning more at the mention of putting the water colder while they were obviously still cold, Sasha felt bad about not being able to help.

Taking the cloth Ian reached for the soap so he could at least wash up and get clean, since it seemed he wasn’t about to get warm tonight. “I don’t think I’ll get warm tonight.” But he’d try, he’d pull on some flannel bed clothing which he’d never normally wear till it started snowing, he had to try and get warm because while he didn’t feel the warmth he was unsure if his body still knew when it was cold or warm and it was just a matter of signals between body and brain getting messed with.
“I’m glad you aren’t cold, and I’m guessing your leg is better?” He wanted to make sure, even though he would look it over once they were both out of the water, it was best to make sure the other was better. “You won’t mind if I grab another blanket for tonight to bring to the bed?” Not wanting the other to overheat but he would do his best to keep warm, even if his body might just not be sending the right signals to his brain about his temperature, he would do his best to ensure he was warm and regulate as best he could.

“Gonna try.” Huffing as he settled into the now too-hot water, ignoring how it made his skin tingle and redden more. Sasha felt bad at the knowledge he’d been the one to pull them out tonight just to get them into trouble settling in. It was worse because nothing he was doing to help had helped.
Reaching down, he rubbed at the burn on his leg, it was an odd splattery splotch that felt different than the rest of his skin but he didn’t mind it. More than once he’d gotten the wrong herbs mixed together for a salve only to find his skin itching or boils popping up from a bad reaction. “I’m okay.” It wasn’t bad, not nearly as much now that he was warm again.
“More blankets yes, all blankets.” Determined to help grab all of them in the house to try and help or maybe make tea with the electric kettle as they’d taught him. Whatever he could do to try and make it up for getting them hurt. It was written all over his face as he sat in the bath with his knees pulled up and chin rested on them.

While Sasha didn’t mention the hot water Ian wasn’t blind, he noticed the other turning too red, and reached for the knobs and turned the cold water on just a bit more. “You can’t go burning yourself because I’m cold, this is going to last a bit I think.” And he’d handle it, he’d make sure he should be warm, even if he didn’t feel it.
“Not all the blankets, that’ll be too much for you and it might be too much for me. I’m not sure if the cold is with my body or where my body is fine but the signals to the brain are wrong. My body might be warm, or even hot, but the signal either says it’s cold or my brain is reading it as I’m cold when that’s not the signal. I’m not sure what the magic affecting me actually has done.” And there was really now ay to test it, at least not right now, maybe once he was out of the bath if he waited a while before climbing into bed. He’d be able to safely take his temperature and it would be accurate…it would give him an idea how this really worked. But was it worth it? Did it matter? It wouldn’t change things…would it?

Frowning more he shook his head. “I’m okay.” But he wouldn’t fight with the knob more if they’d just keep changing it. He didn’t want it to break from moving back and forth with it.
Tilting his head, he understood most of what they were saying but it was confusing still. “Magic is magic.” A simple answer to him but unfortunately, it didn’t solve anything here and he didn’t want to power up and test his magic out on them since they said not to power up near home.
“Lot of blankets then,” he said with a nod as he finished washing up. “Not all.” Moving to get out and sit on the edge of the bath, he grabbed the little medical box and fished for the thing they’d used on him when they’d worried if he was sick after eating a plant. Nothing had happened to him but apparently, it was a plant that caused harm to humans.
Offering the little stick that said if someone was warm or not to Ian, he started drying his legs as he sat on the edge of the bath. The burn stung as he dabbed at it but otherwise, it looked okay to him. The box had all sorts of packets of salves and medicines, most of which he was still learning about. Something in here would do well for his leg, that he was sure of since Ian had said it but he scrunched his face up as he tried to remember what all the very long words meant. The language was hard for him to grasp especially considering his own world had very limited written language. Most everything was orally recorded and his only experience with anything else was on Chaldene with Amel.

“Magic is…but it’s a matter of how it’s affecting a person. I can’t be sure if my body is actually cold…so I could overheat my body and not know it…because the signals are wrong.” Yet he still wanted to bury himself under bedding…which could also be too much. Ian was hoping it would pass, the sooner the better, because he didn’t like how confusing this was for him.
Opening his mouth he let the other use the thermometer on him, even if it would be off because he was in a hot tub, but he’d try again once he was out of here for long enough.
Without a word, so he didn’t mess things up, Ian went to riffle through the med kit to find what the other would need for his leg. Deciding he was washed up enough, and he should get to helping Sasha with his leg, he climbed out and went to dry himself so he could help. He was, by now, used to how the other looked and seeing them undressed as they were. Moving to help he pulled out the necessary items and set to tending to the others damaged skin. Maybe a book on medicinal plants would be helpful to the other, and much enjoyed.

Finally nodding a bit at how they explained it so he understood better, it made more sense. The fact they were cold because of him still made him feel bad but at least he would try to do his best to help. For now, he watched as the numbers went up on the little stick thing in Ian’s mouth. Its upward climb slowed even as the other got out of the bath to help him get what he needed.
Confusion bubbled up on his face as the thing made a noise he hadn’t heard it say before, showing letters instead of numbers on the screen. “Error?” It didn’t seem like a word he knew exactly but he figured it meant something was wrong, either with Ian or the thing.
Pressing his hand to their forehead, he found it chillier than he thought possible. They were always warm but now he was worried more because they felt like ice. It made him shiver a bit just thinking about it even as he pulled his hand back to look over the packets they’d pulled out for him. Trying to remember what the words looked like, he waited for them to see what to do next about the cold issue or about his leg. “Warmer for you.” Looking at them before looking back out the door towards the closet that had all the extra blankets.

Taking the thing from his mouth he set it down with a sigh. “It seems that can’t even figure out what’s going on. I’m a bit surprised but really I shouldn’t be, this is magical afterall.” Rolling his eyes, a green eyed glare aimed at the erroring device, before his attention was on Sasha.
“Do I feel cold or do I feel alright? It can’t tell and I certainly can’t trust my own mind, or body, in all of this.” Hoping the other would give him a better idea of things, so he knew what was going on with his body, it would help him decide how bundled up he’d need to be tonight. If his body felt cold then he really was cold and it wasn’t a matter of wrong signals being picked up by his brain. “Warmer…for me. So I’m cold then…good to know.” He’d bundle up more when he could, for now he’d ignore the cold and the shivering he was doing. He’d handle the others leg, fingers shaking and losing color, he made it quick so he could get some bed clothing, thermals, and grab the extra bedding. “I hope you don’t mind a really warm bed.” Because he figured if he was as cold as he felt, which it seemed might be the case, then Sasha was in for a very warm night since Ian was grabbing all the blankets from the closet. He hadn’t planned on it, he’d even said as much, but things changed.
