Prompt 1: The group has split up; while a large number of people remain in the storage wing, you have decided to help clear out some of the smaller rooms. Things are packed more securely here, and while there are some oddities on display, for the most part everything is secured in an array of wooden, stone, or metal boxes of varying security. You may see a strange item here or there, or something that catches your eye. There is an undeniably weird hum of energy in the room but Almadel has trusted you to behave.

While you must stay in the area, you can investigate anything. You can PM The Space Cauldron or DM xigglet on Discord if you want to check anything before posting; you can also ask if you can interact with anything or gain extra information about something your character is involved in. It is possible to find an artifact or relic that is some way important or relevant to your character but you must have permission. If you are interested in finding something, please be prepared to give a physical description and any relevant lore; we can work things out with you.

As you investigate, you hear a strange noise. Roll a 1d4 to locate it.
If you roll 1 it is coming from an air vent
If you roll a 2 it is coming from a storage box
If you roll a 3 it is coming from the wall
If you roll a 4 it is coming from under the floor

You can decide how to get to them; you may be fortunate and find a loose tile but you may have to break something to reach them (at player choice). Just remember that Almadel wants his museum in the best condition possible…

Transcended Eternal Sailor Encke
Roll: 3

"Think we were right to think he was underselling it on purpose." This was not the result of just a few bugs. Hy-Brasil was right to say it would have been overkill if it was just a few.

It was not just a few. It was enough that Almadel not only let people into his storage room but also started laying out other important areas that needed clearing.

Encke didn't necessarily feel comfortable with just how many people were present in the darkness of the main storage room. There was a part of him that wanted to stick around and dig through the absolute pile of everything that was there. He wanted to see the history. He wanted to know if there was anything else that was mysteriously linked to Encke's Comet, or even those he knew. He wanted to know things of origins that couldn't even be traced! An entire trove of space history was right in front of him, right then and there!

He also didn't want anyone near him to die; it sounded like Almadel would be willing to share once the bugs were gone. There were other rooms, other problems, others that were less chaos-infested.

As much as Almadel was trying to reinforce that everyone needed to not be at each other's throats and just help him clear out his trove of historical artifacts that would give any museum curator envy, there was no way Encke would ever trust chaos to hold their line with that. It would be easier for them to help Almadel if they didn't have to worry about the Negaverse breathing down their necks in the meantime.

There were enough of them that Encke wasn't worried; he was fairly sure between all four of them that they could case a room that had been pinpointed on the map by themselves.

... Or seven of them. Right. Stromboli and Abzu were right over there. With that very sullen alien.

One step at a time.

Something felt oddly thick in the atmosphere in the room they had chosen, and he wasn't sure what it was, but he did hear an odd noise that caught his attention. "At least it isn't as infested up here," even if it definitely still was. "Think something's crawling in the wall, though..."

Perhaps it was a good thing he had his usual space-faring toolkit in his subspace pocket at that moment. Encke fished out a screwdriver and a pick, headed toward the wall. Hopefully, there was something he could just ... pry a bit loose and put back once he was done, or at least set down. Almadel didn't want this place damaged.

And honestly, he could see why. What was in those boxes?

Nectaris, Knight of the Moon
Roll:
1

Nectaris listened to Encke complain about how Almadel had been salesman-ing the situation, and she even nodded. However, she seemed a lot less enthusiastic about being disgusted than she'd been a few minutes ago. "Yeah, there's a lot," she murmured halfheartedly. "They're super gross and stuff."

It made it grosser that they were in a fancy place like this, she decided. Like, she dusted youma all the time, she was used to fighting weird stuff. Seeing bugs here, though, was like finding a beetle on your bathroom floor as opposed to in the woods.

As soon as they were all tucked away in the room, she glanced around to the other. "Some General was looking at me weird," she whispered. "And if I'm remembering the database right, I think it might have been Jet."

Most of the people in the room knew her story, but there were a few who didn't, like Hy-Brasil, and Encke's little trainee, and Abzu's sad alien who was apparently also a grumpy alien. For their benefit, she added, "That's the one who's captive Princess I freed the night I purified. Also, he's a General King now."

A moment passed, and Nectaris used the edge of her staff like a crowbar to pry at a rattling air vent.

"But either way I know there's people here who are mad at me for the traitor thing."

Basiluzzo, Transcended Knight of Uranus
Roll: 2 (box)

Basiluzzo looked around the room, hands on hips, and let out a slow breath. This room was neater than the main room, but that didn't mean it was going to be any easier. That went double when considering that they were there to hunt giant isopods. He watched as the others got to work and figured that he, too, might as well.

He looked around and among the artifacts big enough that they didn't need to be boxed up, hoping to find something lurking more visibly in a statue's shadow, but no such luck. And there was no way he was going to be poking his fingers in the vents. He only had ten fingers and he wanted to leave here with all ten fingers securely attached. He could keep poking around, or he could look in the boxes.

Boxes it was.

Carefully, oh so carefully, Basiluzzo picked a box that sounded promising and began to pry it open. The object was not to hurt anything the boxes contained, and Basiluzzo was sure to keep that in mind as he worked the nails out of the wood. There was no telling what was in the box, but he was very much hoping it was not an isopod. He was hoping that the scratching had been something else. That hope was dashed when he heard scratching coming from the box even louder this time.

Maybe there was some other explanation--

Ran, Senshi of Games
Roll: 1 (vent)

Ran decided to take a look at the vents while the others poked around. He had sort of followed Encke on autopilot. Now he was here with Encke and a bunch of other people. Encke's husband, that he knew. One of the others was related, too, he was pretty sure. More than one, probably. But he wasn't the only person who didn't seem related, and that was a relief. It would be weird, like he was intruding on a weird family reunion.

When he heard skittering and scratching in the vent he chose, he grumbled and began to pry it open. He had no desire to be here doing pest control when the bugs were this big and this numerous. This seemed like the setup to a bad scifi horror flick, if he was quite honest. As such, he did not stick his fingers in the vent any more than he had to in order to pry the cover off of the wall. He was even tensed, prepared to leap backward if it seemed like something was going to launch itself at his face.

He about hit the ceiling when he heard skittering loud and close.

Stromboli, Page of Uranus
Roll: 2 (box)

Seeing his son go for a box gave Stromboli the idea to go for one, himself. Better than sticking his face in a vent, that was for sure. He applauded the bravery of the people doing it, but he was not going to be one of them. The box he found had a latch and lock on it, and Stromboli frowned. He didn't suppose he could go ask Almadel for the key, so he was going to have to break it open the hard way, considering he could hear suspicious sounds on the interior of it. Stromboli turned the crate over carefully, realising that there must have been a way for the isopod to get inside.

There it was--a hole eaten through the bottom of the crate, straight through the wood. Stromboli grimaced, then looked around for something to pry at the hole with. As he did so, Nectaris' words floated to him. The traitor thing? She had done what was best, and Stromboli was prepared to reinforce that should anyone give her a hard time. He didn't get a chance to say anything, though, before his son did.

"It'll be okay. If they try anything, we're here."

Hy-Brasil, Transcended Knight of Earth
ACTION: Also hearing sounds.

Yup. Hy was not a happy camper about this whole thing. She didn't mind helping people but to be lied to, even if it was more a bending of the truth than a direct lie, was hurtful in a way that ticked her off. Not that she could do anything about it now. At least their little group had managed to find a quieter section with fewer bugs both the literal and chaotic sort. "I can't say I am happy about being right." Her eyes flitted around the area they were in.

Nectaris's comment about the General staring her done made Hy bristle. "I wonder why they're playing so nice. Either they're worried about our numbers or don't want to piss Almadel off." Another reason she was glad they had separated themselves from the main group. "I don't like that they're here." She stated just incase anyone hadn't picked up on that from her mannerisms.

A scuttle of sound above them that was metallic. Hy turned her attention upwards. "Just because we can't see them definitely doesn't mean they aren't here. How many do you think are actually in this swarm of Almadels? I have to admit, he did seem a bit surprised by what he saw back there." Not that that excused him from his truth bending.

Abzu, Squire of Neptune
&
Deep Space Sailor Ibirapitá
Roll: 3 for both

Abzu, who was not the type to go digging around in things if he didn't have to, opted to follow Encke to the wall. It looked like he had gotten a few things loose without damaging anything; perhaps he could find a place to pile these tiles up. He liked Almadel! He would rather Almadel not be upset with something he had caused!

Or had been adjacent to causing anyway--

How many? "Probably dozens," murmured Abzu, putting a tile to the side.

"Dozens?" Ibirapitá couldn't help it. He almost laughed. What came out of his lips was a sarcastic snort. "Thou doesn't understand the kosopods. They are an interstellar infestation. There may be thousands, aye?"

Abzu nearly choked on his spit. "Hope not."

Ibirapitá ignored the dismay, moving to join Encke and Abzu at the wall they were picking at. "Perhaps they are here to clean the rot." His gaze flicked toward Nectaris, pondering what to do about the fact that they were surrounded by something of chaos that likely wished her dead for abandoning it. It did not take him long to come to an answer. In a tone much less emotive and more stilted, he frankly stated, "We could kill him."

Abzu's brows rose toward his hairline. "Ibi, don't think it'd be that simple."

He shrugged. "Chaos, much like kosopods, is an interstellar infestation. It is simply much less useful, and must be dealt with." He tapped the wall. There were definitely more kosopods in there. He could sense it. "Chaos is likely here because they want their hands in the museum Almadel keeps, which is why they are presently obeying. There are artifacts of untold origins here. They must be kept at bay."

"We were told to not get into fights," even if Abzu couldn't say Ibirapitá was wrong, he had no inclination to be the one to start a fight with the Negaverse. He especially had less than zero inclination to get into a fight with a whole general-king. He would protect Nectaris, of course, but that was only if they tried to bring the fight to them.

"We should be safe, Nikki," Abzu's smile was warm. "There's seven of us here. Like Stromboli said, we're here."

Ibirapitá muttered, "And thousands of kosopods."

Prompt 2: You have located the sound–Kosopods, ranging from six inches to two feet wide. They are hard shelled isopods with many legs and prickly tails. They can be nearly any neutral color, it just depends on what they have been eating. They will immediately try to scatter. Roll 1d4 to determine how many Kosopods you have located; you can decide their size.

Transcended Eternal Sailor Encke
Roll: 3 (... gaia's dice really love 3 for me evidently)

"You really think there's thousands?" Encke didn't have anything against bugs as a natural thing, but he did have something against giant space bugs in a museum of ancient artifacts. He shuddered as he pulled at something else on the wall. "Nikki, maybe Jet'll be so distracted by the bugs he'll forget he saw you." Hopefully. He didn't want Jet's hand anywhere near her starseed.

Encke did not like Jet. He still remembered when he had attempted to defend Pendour from him. Encke still didn't know if he hadn't just ended up causing more damage in the end. He could understand Ibirapitá's opinion of just kill him, because at some point someone had tipped over to doing too much damage. He would also like to stay in Almadel's good graces and not get into a fight that would wreck the place.

"But if he tries to do anything," the family overrode the whole problem from all perspectives.

Of course, that wasn't the concern right now. The stability of this museum was, at this time, a bit more important than dealing with the chaotic presence. What was on display here, though? What was hidden in these boxes? Encke desperately wanted to know.

For now, though?

... The infinity kosopods.

"Ah."

There were three of them literally in the wall cavity. Great.

Nectaris, Knight of the Moon
Roll: 4

Her eyes widened at Ibirapitá's suggestion to just kill Jet. Like, not that he was wrong! She wasn't sure she wanted to be a murderer, but if he wasn't gonna purify, then what choice did they have?

She just wasn't totally sure if the slightly wilted looking basic was gonna be able to pull that one off.

At least offering their protection made Nectaris feel a little better. If she had to run into someone from her past, at least it was good if I could be in a situation like this, where she had a lot of support and also there were plenty of distracting bugs.

Like, really distracting bugs. Her nose wrinkled as the first couple started sticking their faces out where Encke had found them. Nectaris was not a bug person. She had never been a bug person. She'd been the kid who always screamed when she'd seen bugs or worms when she was little, and now she mostly just avoided them.

Yeah, there were bug youma sometimes, but she didn't like those, either.

"Thanks, guys," she said, only to get cut off when the vent she was prying at popped open and four kosopods tumbled out, right on top of her. One of them caught in her butterfly cape, and one of them even bit her in the hand. She squeaked.

"Usually I think about the other stuff that happened to me when I purified. It still kinda gets me off guard a little, when people are mad about it."

She stepped back from the newly formed pile of kosopods, still grimacing.

"Also, these things are nasty. If they're like, hiding in the walls, how are we supposed to know if we got them all?"

Hy-Brasil, Transcended Knight of Earth
ACTION: Chatting and finding 2 bugs in the vent.

Hy listened to the chatter of the group as she focused in on the sounds she was hearing from the vents. Vaguely she wondered how she was going to go about getting up there. The easiest route would obviously be to just tear into the ceiling, but it was very likely that Almadel would not take too kindly to intentional damage done to his precious museum. He was really a rather particular being who wanted to make sure his collection didn’t get harmed.

She heard something being moved around and turned to see some of the others (Stromboli and Basil) going through boxes. It was then she noted the large quantity of them and how boxes and crates were stacked nearly to the ceiling. Vaguely she wondered what was inside all of them, and mentally hoped it wasn’t more of the insects.

At the mention of killing a negaverse officer, Hy’s attention shifted back. “Honestly. As simple as it is, it’s the best idea. Even if it’s not the easiest as you said. But I like your train of thought.” Hy smiled at the Deep Space Senshi. “It would be a long-term solution to help keep you safe, Nectaris.” Hy said as she turned to look at the pastel hued Knight. ”But hopefully today Jet will be too worried with the more pressing matters of over-sized galactic insects.” Plus, the others were right. It wasn’t like they’d all just sit back and let it happen.

Hy turned back to the boxes and crated and looked to the ceiling. She paused. ”Ohhh I hope your wrong about thousands. No thank you.” A vent was just off to the side. She’d have to be quick, but she should be able to get herself up there to look. So, she jumped up onto the stacked storage boxes. She could feel any cardboard shift, but the intermingled crates seemed to help stabilize the stack enough. She had enough time to pull the vent cover off, let it fall to the ground with a loud clatter and hoist herself up to take a look inside.

Boy was that a mistake.

As if they were attracted by the sound, two of the ugly buggers came towards Hy from inside the vent. With an indignant squeak that she would tell everyone they heard incorrectly, thank you very much, she dropped down.

“Found some.” The two creatures dropped through the hole. “I bet there’s more up there somewhere. And if they’re in the vents they’re probably in the walls and…anything else. Might have to make some holes to lure them out if they don’t follow their friends.”

Basiluzzo, Transcended Knight of Uranus
Roll: 1
Action: well, at least it's only one bug in the box he has to take care of--

Basiluzzo wasn't paying much attention to his box as he turned his head to respond to the conversation around him. He was in agreement that killing those that deep in the Negaverse was likely the best method of attack. He just wasn't sure if it would be something really possible with just the small group of them. "I could do without these giant insects honestly, but they should hopefully keep Jet busy if there's already this many just in this side room. We can deal with the bigger problem later."

It was unfortunate that he wasn't paying attention, because the box wasn't empty, and he was nearly immediately informed of that fact. No matter how much he'd hoped the scratching noise was due to something else, there was only one thing that had that many legs and an exoskeleton. He jumped back as the kosopod dragged itself out of the box and scurried its way toward his feet. Was it his imagination or was the bug preparing to spit acid at him?

"Hey! Hey, no!"

Ran, Senshi of Games
Roll: 1
Action: also trying not to get spit on

Ran nearly fell to the floor as soon as he saw the eyes looking back at him in the vent, mind completely torn from the conversations. The kosopod chattered menacingly at him as he scrambled back, the acid flying over his shoulder and thankfully not into his face. That was close! That was way too close! He did not appreciate how close that was! He had a job to do, however, and so he went back to the vent. The kosopod was still there. Ran imagined it was waiting for him.

"Please just get out of there," he grumbled, wondering which hand he liked less.

Stromboli, Page of Uranus
Roll: 1
Action: trying to be comforting but also deciding he hates boxes

"It makes sense," offered Stromboli to his daughter. "Your life had a lot of upheaval after leaving the Negaverse. Thinking about those you left behind in the process is jarring, and that's okay."

She had the protection of all of them now, at least. The protection of all of them, including at least three of them that were fine floating the idea of simply killing the general-sovereign, and bugs. Lots and lots of bugs. He winced when several fell on top of Nectaris, and more followed in the vent Hy-Brasil found. After hearing Encke remark on some in the walls and seeing both Basiluzzo and Ran deal with bugs, he pulled his body back as he opened his box.

That did not save him from the fact that there was, indeed, a kosopod in his box. It was a baffled kosopod, at least, instead of actively angered like the ones that Basiluzzo and Ran found. Stromboli gulped. "You're right Hy-Brasil, they're everywhere." Great. "Maybe Ibirapitá was not as far off as we were hoping."

Abzu, Squire of Neptune
&
Deep Space Sailor Ibirapitá
Roll: 4 & 3
Abzu's Action: Definitely losing some of his cool. Trying to be chill.
Ibirapitá's Action: Was expecting this. Sighs,

Ibirapitá nodded firmly when Hy-Brasil backed up his train of thought. It was followed by a shrug when it said it wasn't the easiest thing they could do. "I have learned the hard way, aye? If chaos is not nipped in the bud early, you will face devastating consequences." By the time Ibirapitáns realized what was going on, and by the time they started to act on it on top of that, Ibirapitá felt that it had already been too late. His magicks were already degrading. Many of their elders had started to pass. "With his ranking, you may have already missed early."

Abzu wondered if Ibirapitá was even paying attention to what they were unpacking, and more than that, what they were there to do. Of course, he guessed Ibirapitá was sad for a reason.

He sighed, turning back to the hole that they had all been working on back at the wall.

He froze.

"I definitely wasn't wrong about thousands," Ibirapitá's tone was almost adolescent, mildly dismissive and slightly agitated.

Abzu held back the urge to squirm and shriek when he realized that the three Encke had seen had given away to seven more. How were there ten just in this little pocket of misery? He didn't ask for this. He wanted to help with Almadel's problems, and he still did, but no part of him wanted to sign up for this amount of gigantic bugs. Gigantic, acid-spitting, aggressive bugs.

Well. Most of them. The one Stromboli had uncovered at least didn't seem that aggressive. Lucky b*****d.

Prompt 3: The Kosopods immediately attack. They are frantic and hungry; they can spit acid that causes agitation and eventually burns through things and they have many sharp legs and sharp points on their shells. They can bite. Their shells are very hard and they can only be damaged by flipping them over to expose their delicate underbelly or possibly by overwhelming them with magic. They cannot be starseeded. They are vulnerable to fire but it might not be a good idea to start setting things ablaze if you want to stay on Almadel’s good side. Roll 1d4 to determine how many Kosopods you have defeated; if you roll lower than the last prompt, you will need to roll again until you defeat them all or hope that your allies rolled high enough to take out some of yours as well. If you roll a higher number here than you did in prompt 2, you can help your allies.

Transcended Eternal Sailor Encke
Roll: 2
Action: Taking out two of his kosopods. Needing a hand with the third!

Encke supposed that of all the people present in the room, Ibirapitá would have the most experience with the devastating consequences. It made him wonder how the other aliens saw their current chaotic infestation. Did they see it as hopeless, or did they see it as still catching it early enough to do something about it? He supposed Ibirapitá was mentioning one person in the singular, but--

He pulled himself out of it. Didn't matter right then. Maybe he could try asking Ibirapitá's thoughts on the matter later if he could get a few moments past the permanent rain cloud Ibirapitá seemed to walk around with. "I don't disagree -- I try to avoid going to those extremes, but some harm far more than can be allowed to persist."

His thoughts on the matter were complex. They didn't necessarily have the time to talk the finesse of those thoughts when they were dealing with-- "Oversized galactic insects," Encke pinched the bridge of his nose. "Feels like I'm in a script for a parody sci-fi." They had certainly found the proof of more being in the walls. "But they are definitely in the walls. The three of us have seen ten total over here."

Ten total who did not seem to appreciate being exposed to the light, ******** telling the one he had uncovered a warning of hey, hey no, wouldn't quite work for how upset the three that lept out of the wall hole at Encke specifically. Abzu jumped back--he didn't miss that--and Encke found himself quickly trying to throw them off of him. A secondary instinct was to summon up one of his magicks, though he did fight off the instinct to use his strongest. He knew that his eternal magic came with shockwaves. That would not be preventing damage at all.

Two did not like electricity. The third just got angrier.

Well.

Basiluzzo, Transcended Knight of Uranus
Roll: 2
Action: taking care of his kosopod and offering help to everyone else

It was preparing to spit acid at him. In fact, it did spit acid at him. Basiluzzo jumped to the side, letting the acid splatter with relative harmlessness on the floor where he'd been standing. Relative, of course, to making sure he didn't accidentally step in or slip on the puddle. He hoped the acid wouldn't eat through the floor, but there was currently exactly nothing Basiluzzo could do about that.

Well, he could make sure it didn't spit acid again, he supposed. And to do that, he'd have to kill the kosopod. He whirled his staff over his head to get some momentum going, then swung at the creature. His aim was true, and then that was that. Immediately, not wasting any time, he turned to see if he could help with the higher numbers some of the others had ended up discovering.

Ran, Senshi of Games
Roll: 2
Action: also taking care of his kosopod and then offering help

Unfortunately for him, he liked both of his hands equally and was equally loathe to lose one of them to an acid-spitting bug in an air vent. But that left him the problem of how to get the kosopod out of the vent. It was armored, with mandibles and pointy legs and acid spit. He didn't think it would go quietly into the night, and he wasn't looking to get a face full of acid trying to drag the stupid thing out where he could reach it. Briefly, he turned his head to try and see if he could see anything he could use to grapple the kosopod with.

It was then that the kosopod leapt.

Fortunately for him, he liked having his skin and extremities intact and thus he both had the peripheral vision to catch the kosopod moving and the reflexes to drop and duck out of the way before it could connect with or land on him with those sharp legs and mandibles. it overshot and landed roughly on the floor, but that many legs gave it very good maneuverability. It righted itself and turned to face him nearly immediately, and then he was ducking out of the way of acid spit again.

Quickly, he threw his game pieces at the ground where the kosopod was skittering toward him. It was successful, the bug finding itself in the shallow pit, but it was so low to the ground that very little actual damage seemed to have occurred. Ran was trying to figure out how to actually kill the thing when one of the displays teetered--the ground under it now sloped and uneven. As the kosopod began to methodically climb its way out of the pit even with as slippery as it was, the display toppled over on top of it.

It was a heavy display.

"...Ah. Ew." A pause, then he turned to the others. "Anyone else?"

Stromboli, Page of Uranus
Roll: 4
Action: you guessed it--taking care of his kosopod and helping out

It had been a baffled kosopod. Now it was an angered kosopod like the others, and Stromboli yanked his hand back before it could take a chunk out of him. He hadn't wanted to resort to violence, but it was hard to argue otherwise when faced with an active, destructive infestation--and an aggressive one at that. So he brought his food turner down onto the kosopod with enough force enough times that it quickly stopped moving and trying to bite him back.

They were neat bugs, but they didn't belong there, and they'd been given a task by the person who owned the place to get rid of them, after all. He was not an ecologist, much less a space one. Turning from the box, Stromboli asked, "alright, who needs an assist?"

Hy-Brasil, Transcended Knight of Earth
ACTION: Fighting bugs and could use some assistance.

Apparently, like normal earth bugs, these things just crawled into any and every space they could. That was obvious with how many locations the group was finding them. And boy or boy were they not happy to have their locations found out!

Hy-Brasil’s Kosopods were just as pissed as some of the others. One was quite large pushing maybe 2 feet wide while the other was maybe half the size. The smaller one had unfortunately landed on it’s back when it fell from the ceiling and Hy had no issues with stabbing down with the bottom of her staff onto the soft underbelly. The crunch that came with the attack sent shivers down her spine. “Oh gods. That sound.”

Her second Kosopod was not pleased. Whether it was having it’s hiding spot found or its friend killed that triggered it, the creature began spitting acids, forcing Hy to jump back. The hem of her dress was splattered just enough to show how effective the spit actually was as the fabric melted, leaving swiss cheese-like holes. The Kosopod wasn’t content with that though and continued with its assault of the knight, forcing Hy to keep a distance from it. Even her staff couldn’t bridge the distance.

She couldn’t even help some of the others with this big b*****d of an insect seemingly honed in on her. More acid spit came her way and she was pretty sure she’d never been so happy before to have so much clothing. This time more of her skirt and her boots took the hit. ”I am don’t typically mind bugs when they mind their own business, but these things are too aggressive for their own health.”

She swept out the end of her staff again, trying to tip over the kosopod. Her stretch just wasn’t ehough though and she barely tapped one of it’s numerous legs.

Nectaris, Knight of the Moon
Roll:
2

Oh no. Oh no. The bugs were really mad that she'd kinda knocked them out of their little hidey hole. One of them was already spitting something at her. She brought an arm up to block her eyes, which was probably good because the spit was very much made of acid. It burned bad.

On of the other ones was biting at her foot with its weird, gross bug mouth. Now that was just something that she couldn't deal with. She kicked the weird, bit-ey bug with all of the strength that being a Knight gave her, and it seemed to work. It went flying until it crashed into the wall really hard, and when it landed on its back, its little bug legs only wiggled for a few seconds before they stopped.

She brought her moon staff down hard on the one that was spitting acid at her, and that worked, too! It was a super big bug, but it was still a bug. It still squished.

Only, that left two more, and those two were also spitting, and biting, and Nectaris just kind of hined, even as she still tried to poke at them. The acid really hurt, though.

Also, if she was getting this beat up squishing a couple of oversized roly-pollies, how was she possibly supposed to kill someone like Jet without straight up getting murdered?
