Urania had felt the call as if some distant light was calling her there. The Observatory. She just had to try and access it. But all attempts had failed before. Why would it work now? She had her personal item now. It seemed to function just like the ones in the wards, too! How had she not noticed before? It was the same mechanism, after all. Both had been created by Mauvians as well. That’s why she chose one to come with her today. Just in case something went wrong. She knew her old star map like the back of her hand, but it had seen years and years of no use (and its data was blank, too!). She was lucky to have found it at all, much less repaired it. If the twelve who had come and interacted so much with the other spheres, she doubted she would have figured it out. You see, the sphere she held in her hands wasn’t just her old star map — a way to record all she knew about the stars — it was also the key to opening up the way to the Observatory. Urania looked to the cat as she took out her phone to transport them to her world. ❂

The Maine coon had been drawn over to Urania both by her beckoning him and the fact that something seemed innately wrong about her appearance. It was hard to pinpoint exactly what that was, but he figured he had the best opportunity for that by getting closer. Perhaps, she had simply added something to her uniform. No, that had not been right. She was holding an item, but that was not quite it either, though that item meant that she needed the help of a Mauvian. That certainly was what he was. And so he agreed. "Ready as I can be," he replied, eyeing the item she held, and then her phone, next. It was cute. He wondered idly which of his fellow Mauvians had presented it to her. Perhaps he could compliment their taste. "You said you were Super Sailor Urania, correct?" Elliott would figure out what felt wrong about this. Perhaps isolating himself from the noise of Earth would help.

“Yes. That’s me.”Urania said to the Mauvian and she bounced on her heels as if she was ready to go. Now. Like right now. “Let me hold your hand. Er, paw. We’ll be there in a second and then I’d show you what’s wrong. It’s urgent!”She clicked the button on her pen and they were gone like starlight! When they appeared, they were on Urania and under a different sky. Familiar in that you could see the same stars. Unfamiliar in that there was no moon like from Earth. And the sun was three times smaller in the sky! They were in front of a pedestal and the dimly lit, but still daylight, sky. “Oh. What’s your name again? It’s Elliot, right? I’m sorry. I kind of forget all formalities when I’m focused on something.”❂

Elliott was advantaged by his Maine coon height and stature when it came to reaching a paw to hold in her hand. He stayed sitting where he was, and waited patiently for the two of them to no longer be on Earth. This was better. Here, it was easier to think. Perhaps now, it would be clearer what felt off about this Super Sailor Urania. Was it her eyes itself? No, that could not be. He was able to tell from further away that something was not quite correct. Her eyes were natural for her, and the thing that was a little bit different was not clear until he was standing right next to her. "Yes, my name is Elliott. E-l-l-i-o-t-t if that's important." His brows knit. "At least, my bonded spends a lot of time spelling her civilian name to people. I do not quite understand why." He glanced above and around them, trying to see if he could see through much. The answer was a resounding no. There were the stars he was used to seeing in the sky, just different and more distant, but that did not tell him much about what was through the dais. "I am here to help. What do you need me to do?"

“Elliott! I usually have to spell my name out, too. Apparently, it isn’t a name anyone uses anymore on Earth.”Urania wanted to pick him up, but refrained. The next part he could reach easily as if made just for a cat. “See this pedestal here.” She pointed to a section that looked like a recess or bowl that could hold a round object. “I need to put this orb in that spot to allow access to the tower. However...”She place the orb gently in the spot. Then you hear a mechanical voice: ‘System requires a reboot. Mauvian needed. Please place paw here.’ A small section glows, just the perfect size for a cat paw. “If you would be so kind.”❂

That was enough to pique his interest in what her name was outside of the uniform, and he tilted his head to the side to express that. Of course, he followed that up with the more helpful, "If it is not too invasive, what is the name you use? I imagine it is not Urania." Considering she was still among them as the living, Elliott figured she had learned to not freely give out her names. Chaos had a way of finding out all of those things and using them to their greatest efficiency. ... That was, to quickly kill whoever was interpreted as being in the way, and even those that weren't. Elliott watched Urania take the orb and place it in the pedestal. ... Ah. "It is fortunate that you found a Mauvian, then." Was that what seemed off about Urania? Did he innately know her need for a Mauvian? That did not quite seem right, but he would have to approach that later. Standing at his Maine coon height made it not too difficult for him to reach the spot indicated at all. "I wonder which of my fellows made this hundreds, if not thousands, of years ago. These things capture my curiosity." He pressed his paw to the spot. Meighei ... i opened my laptop to find this post half-finished when i thought i finished it days ago. my brain is noodles,

“My name when I’m not going by Urania is Ptolemy. Also, I used to go by the name Stargazer, too.”She watched in anticipation as Elliott placed his paw on the spot. “There was a Mauvian by the name of Hoshi-no-Tama that used to serve my parents — he made these over a thousand years ago. I don’t know what happened to him when my world fell to Chaos. I wonder if he was put in stasis like I was or died and was reborn like my twin brother was.”Suddenly, the sphere’s stars lit up and then a light flowed through the pedestal. ‘Paw print accepted. Initiating system reboot… Systems back online!’’Then a path of crystals in the ground lit up to form a pathway into the distance and the fog disappeared! “Follow me!”❂

"Ptolemy Stargazer? I do like that name." Elliott glanced over her, with a tilt of his head. "It suits you." Considering that it seemed her sphere had something to do with stars, it also made sense. If she was of the stars in such a way, being called a stargazer seemed only fitting. Hoshi-no-Tama... he did not recognize that name. He had been to a gathering of Mauvians relatively recently, but there was no Tama present. That was a neutral sign in and of itself. Perhaps Tama had not yet been reborn, or had not been awakened. Perhaps he did not attend that meeting due to something else in his life. Or perhaps the worst happened. He would have to keep an ear to the ground. "I have not met a Hoshi-no-Tama," his brow knit. "I do hope he returns to you." When the path lit up, his pupils widened in curiosity and splendor. That had worked! But did not quite fix the sensation that looking at Urania was giving him. Curious. Elliott trotted after her. "I am pleased you were able to find a different Mauvian to help you here."

The pathway that they took was lit by the crystals in the ground, each one shedding just enough light to guide the way. And not fall off the edge. The path was long, winding and ended in a bridge of sorts that fell into nothingness. But as you began to cross, a tower can be seen on the other side. “That tower over there is the Observatory.”Just as she said that, her cosmic companion, a little purple dragon appeared. Seeing the cat, it hissed. And then flew away down the pathway to the Observatory. “Now be nice to Elliott.” The senshi warned the creature. “Hey! Don’t go too far ahead.”But the creature did not listen and was soon out of sight. ❂

Elliott figured that it was his balance as a Mauvian that allowed him to not topple with how dimly lit this path was. He blinked his eyes a few more times, allowing a few moments to force his pupils to widen to levels that Dahlia would have giggled about. He, however, was not about to wiggle his butt and try to attack something. That would be foolish-- Oh! A little dragon! It hissed at him, but he seemed more intrigued by it than anything else. "Where did you get that little one?" It was flying down the path, though, to the place Urania wished to lead him. Perhaps it would simply be best to follow the dragon. He glanced up to Urania, glanced down the path, and cautiously followed along. Elliott was thinking he was beginning to understand what was happening here. If he had the feeling she had needed his help, and it was not specifically because of that, there were other services Mauvians could offer. Some of them were quite obvious, and perhaps he was missing the most obvious one.

“A wisp started to follow me around after last year’s Star Festival. Since that time, it would periodically appear whenever I was powered up. A week ago, it changed into this new form.”As they got closer to the tower, the lights got brighter and they could finally see the end of the path. They were in front of a massive arched door. The wisp-dragon was there… and it was growling and its back was arched almost like a cat’s when it was ready to fight. Urania kneeled in front of the creature whose starlit eyes never left the door for even a moment. “I think it is telling us it doesn’t like something that is behind the door.”The senshi looked up at the door to the Observatory. “But why? I haven’t been inside of the Observatory in a thousand years.”❂

"It is very cute, I must say." He was uncertain if the dragon would agree or even appreciate the compliment, but he followed it nevertheless. He wasn't sure if the dragon was appreciating much of anything at the moment, though. The tower was wonderful, and he wanted to explore it, but the dragon was hissing at it much like he would when he was fearful. That told him something was very wrong. It was then, as she asked what it could be, as she hadn't visited for a thousand years, and the little wisp dragon kept staring at the door, that he realized what he might have been needed for. "Whatever may be in there is bad news, I believe. It may even help explain the state of your world." He approached Urania directly, bumping her with his head, even if the dragon became more irritated with him. "If you grant me your henshin pen, I can help you with a better defense against whatever is behind that door."

“Do you think inside the Observatory could be…”Urania wanted to say ‘where the source of the Chaos on my world is located’, but she couldn’t say the words out loud. She could barely even think them. Yet, she knew the Chaos Seed had to be somewhere on her world! The little dragon looked at the senshi and the cat like they were crazy just to be this close to the door. It let out one last growl. Then it disappeared into subspace. It had led them here, but it would not stick around to find out what they planned to do. Being this close to the door, you can now feel something dark and distant coming from inside. “You can?”She handed her henshin pen to Elliott. ❂

Elliott nodded firmly, taking the pen in his paws. "I can." The dragon was right to get away. Being near this observatory felt disturbingly wrong in ways he couldn't describe. Was this place housing what was slowly killing this world? He was willing to bet on it. As Elliott concentrated and worked on the pen, it slowly began to look different until it felt different, too. Making sure he didn't do something wrong, he played with it first, shifting it from paw to paw as he tested the weight and the way the magic felt. Yes. This should do it. He passed it back to her. "Concentrate on your eternal power, and you might find this will get a bit easier to confront."

‘Concentrate on your eternal power, and you might find this will get a bit easier to confront.’Urania held her newly upgraded henshin pen and concentrated, as the Mauvian had said to do. But what words would she use. “Urania Crystal Power, Make-Up!”And her uniform had changed and two small feathered wings appeared on her back bow. ❂
