The forests of Urania. They were vast and deep. You could be mistaken for believing that they covered all the surface. If you looked out from where you stand, you cannot see past them. Even if you got as high as you could, you would not see anything but the trees. And if you could get as low as you could, you would only see roots. But, at the center of the world, there was a large area of mostly stone. It was on the outskirts of this area that you now stood, on ground of a fine and dark dirt. It is as if you stand on the last bit of ground before the untamed wilderness. This area leads to The Doomed Ward. ——— “Welcome to Urania. This sphere here… well, it used to light up this section of the forest! Which section is this? Oh, yes. This is the Doomed Ward. Oh! I should explain why it’s called that. The constellation Scorpius had that title on my world. But it also represented a clan, the Doomed clan, represented by the Scorpion. There was also three tribes under them, Hercules, the Strong; Perseus, the Cunning; and Orion, the Prideful.
See! They are right here on the sphere…
Oh, perhaps I should explain why I’m explaining all this.”The senshi touches the sphere’s stars in a certain order. Nothing happens for a moment. And then you see the stars shift and move before forming the words: Are you ready?“You see, on my world, before I was allowed to leave and explore beyond Urania, I had to complete a challenge from each clan. Which I did! But, um, this thing doesn’t seem to remember that. It won’t let me turn on the light until I do it all over again! I mean… the two things — lighting the way and the challenge aren’t even connected! It must be broken…”She looked sad and her wisp appeared and tried to comfort her by doing all it could which was spin around her head. Then she looked to you. “And I was much stronger than… you see. I’m not at the same stage as I was then. So, if this does what I think it does, I’m going to need some help.”Are you ready? Are you ready? Are you ready?The stars keep reforming and asking the same thing over and over, like it’s broken or something and stuck on repeat. The forests here called to him, made him want to explore, forests filled his own home world as did ice and snow which he did not see here. But this planet had vast forests it seemed, maybe it was nothing more than one big forest, perhaps he should consider talking to Urania after this and seeing if he could explore the forests here one day, perhaps even one night instead. The idea did appeal to the ancient senshi as he stood there looking around, ears twitching and moving atop his head, he was listening but there was relaly so little to hear on this planet. It was like his own in that way...no living thing aside from them both.
"The Doomed Ward...not that sounds interesting, so very interesting." yes, he would like to know more on that, but perhaps not just yet. He was here to assist a fellow ancient. "I would, once this is done, like to know more about this Ward and the clans under it. I'd like to understand the system of your people and how they lived." He would like to know a lot of things, he always wanted to learn from others, perhaps he should go tracking down information back home on this planet. It would take time, he was sure of it, but he could find something...
"Do you remember what they'll want us to do for these tasks? Lighting the way is some task and than the challenge, right?" So he knew what to expect, because it could be a lot of things and if they weren't connected he really did want to know what would be expected of him - or rather of them both.
His hand hovered over the sphere, waiting for answers, he didn't like running into things blindly.

“The Doomed were all kind of… interesting. They were very reclusive. I didn’t get to see them often after I completed their tasks before leaving to travel.”That was a way of putting it, she supposed. Some said their clan was cursed. “The Doomed were always about feats and shows of skill. I remember there was a test of strength and a test of cunning. There was one other test, but I don’t remember what it was called. Most of the challenges from the clans came in threes.”The threes made sense, in a way, as there was three tribes under each clan. “I should be able to re-enable the lights after the challenge. The senshi of Urania always has that power. But the sphere seems to be stuck and think I hadn’t completed this old challenge which I definitely did do a thousand years ago.”❂

"Ok...so strength and cunning...I can do that." He might not be the strongest but he was sure he could handle it, he had no choice. Cunning however he was certain he could do, considering his own people and himself., he wasn't too worried about whatever the third task was. The third task might be unknown to himself, at the moment anyway, but he was sure it was do able and not just because he wouldn't allow himself to fail.
"Alright." Nodding his head slowly he reached out and placed his hand on the sphere. "Let's do this." He spoke, looking over to the other ancient senshi. "I'm sure we'll get things working here again." He would help any of his own kind who needed it - who wanted it. He would help bring the cosmos back to life, one by one, it would be a slow march forward but he was up for the challenge. He would do whatever he needed to in order to help the cosmos and help his own planet. E
Even if this wasn't in line with the nature of his people or himself. Things would need to adapt.

“Great! Because I’m going to need all the help I can get.”The sphere responded to Urania’s touch. It glowed. And then a voice like a bell came from the sphere: Welcome to the test of the Doomed!
The first task is from Hercules, the Strong:
Use your strength to move the stone across the line.A stone appears before you where there was none before. It is about five feet tall and it is solid rock. A line can be seen fifty feet away. “Oh no. I recall this one. That thing is heavy. But… last time I did this test, I had the strength of an eternal. I don’t have that kind of strength now. But maybe… if we both push it together?”Sleet Tempest Snape Roll a d4. Because you are at super rank, a roll of 3-4 will move the rock. You must succeed 3 times to push the stone to the end. Urania will roll after you and her rolls contribute to the total.

Of course strength would be first. Taking a breath he nodded his head slowly to her words. "Well, between two super senshi we should be able to manage this." Neither of them had their wings again, as she had just said she'd been eternal in the past, but that was fine. They could, and would, do this and get to the next test.
Approaching the rock the blond haired senshi reached out and placed hands on the rock, planting his boots into the ground he found his balance and started to push. Keeping his feet planted firmly to the ground as he worked to move the rock.
"Let's get this done so we can get to the next test." And soon finish this whole thing, because he wanted to see what would happen next.

Grunting, and growling, as the rock held firm he took a moment to step back before reapproaching and making to do it again. Pushing at the rock with the strength he did have. Gritting his teeth as the sharp points of his canines showed. He wasn't about to fail, even if this would be hard for him at this level of power.

“We’ve got this!”Urania gritted her teeth and got behind the rock. She certainly didn’t look like she was built for this. She wasn't even taller than the rock. But she dug her heels into the ground and pushed! She would need Selinur strength with her own. With both of them, they could do it. The stone moved slowly to the half way point. ❂

Finally! Taking a step forward the blond went to continue pushing and taking another step forward. So far it had moved half the distance, thanks to the help of his fellow super senshi. "Indeed, it seems like we certainly have this." Hopefully this would be the hardest of three tests, he was certain it would be, this couldn't be easier than either of the following two tests.
"I can see how this owuld be easy as an eternal." And impossible as a basic senshi, he knew he'd never be able to get the rock moved at all were he any weaker than he was now.
"Why do this as a super and not wait till you are eternal again?" Why indeed, knowing she'd had to do this as an eternal. Though it seemed she may have forgotten how difficult this was. But he was certain other tests had been difficulkt and needed her to be eternal as well. He was also curious - very curious. he wanted to knwo whatever he could about this.
"Do you rememebr the other tests from the other areas?"

With Selinur’s help, the stone was moved the rest of the way across the finish line. “Well, I guess I could wait til I’m eternal, but that seems so unfair.” She folded her arms. She gave the most pitiful pouting look. “I already completed the tests once. Why should I have to do it again?”But it seemed they wouldn’t have time to try and answer that question as the sphere activated again. The second task is from Perseus, the Cunning:
Capture the fox.“I remember… most of them. Like, this one for example. The fox is quick and cunning. And we won’t be able to combine our powers as easily as the last test. I won’t be fast enough to catch it. Unless you have a way to slow it down?”A fox appeared and immediately started to dart about, this way and that. It was hard to tell that it was just a hologram. And even harder to tell that its body — almost a blur — was made of stars and constellation-like patterns. Sleet Tempest Snape Roll a d6 to attempt to capture the fox. Only a 6 can catch it. Unless, of course, you have a way to slow it down.

"I will agree with it being unfair but it might have been a better idea. We got lucky with the first test." He stated as he listened to what they had to do next...ohhh now this would be interesting. "Capture a fox..." As if he didn't have fox features himself - this was certainly interesting. "We might just be lucky here as well, my magic can help."
Watching as the fox burst forth and took off he kept his eyes on it, watching to see if there was any pattern. Finding none he headed after it but didn't make to grab it. he just wanted to get close enough to drop his own magic on it and see if it would help. Close enough he tapped his foot on the ground as he called on his magic. "Freeze up." Whispered words as he hoped the fox would find itself going right through his magic and slipping on it - as plenty of others had in the past.
"Let's see if this doesn't help solve the problem."
Meighei Super Sailor Scout Attack: Freeze up.Selinur will tap his foot gently on the ground, whilst calling out his attack, this attack can be used two times in battle and lasts 35 second each time. When he taps his foot on the ground it’ll cause the temperature to drop within a 7 foot radius of him. For the duration of his magic, it appears as though chilly rain is rapidly falling around him. Wherever the rain drops land will immediately solidify into a frozen glaze. He will be immune to the glaze but the ground beneath him and anyone or anything who comes into contact with the falling rain will be rapidly chilled by the layer of glaze that grows over them. The ground beneath him will rapidly become slippery, and any items near him will become too cold and slippery to pick up. The seven foot radius of his magic moves with him, however the more he moves, the less rain coats an area and the less slippery it will be. When the magic ends, the glaze will immediately dissipate unless players want to have lasting damage. The rain falls much faster at this stage than it did in his basic magic, allowing him to coat more in less time.

The fox zigged and zagged in the most unpredictable of ways. There was no pattern to its movements other than it was fast and tended to not go in one direction for very long. But then the frigid rain started to coat the ground around Selinur. “Oh. Wow! This is your magic?”Urania, instead of running after the fox, watched and waited to see the effects of Selinur’s magic. Sometimes the smartest thing to do in a situation was to watch, wait and plan your move. It took some seconds before the ground began to glaze. The fox hardly noticed the rain when it started. Its coat kept it warm and dry. But it was not prepared for the ground to freeze. Its claws could no longer grip the ground and, on one of its quick turns, it couldn’t control its movement. It was simply going too fast. It slid and lost its footing and fell and Urania took that moment to grab the fox, being extra careful not to slip herself. “Sorry, little fox, but this is a test of cunning, not speed.” She laughed and it disappeared from her hands. Then, the sphere spoke again. This is your third and final task, from Orion, the Prideful:

"It is." He answered with something of a nod of his head, a small gesture, his magic made this an easy test for him because the glaze on the ground combined with a running animal meant it was bound to slip and slide. "I wasn't sure, until I saw the fox, if my magic would he useful at all in these tests." He could have tried it on the rock push about the chances of them sliding on the glaze was high - really high. The rock would slide as well, likely, but with them sprawled on the ground it wouldn't matter one bit in the end.
"Prideful..." Rolling his eyes he smiled at that. "Considering I've heard the phrase swallow your pride...and we're talking about someone prideful I'm going with Pride itself as the answer."
At least he hoped he was right. He hadn't heard about pride swallowing a person but he supposed there could be something about that, something he hadn't heard, but it would make sense somehow if the answer to Orion the Prideful was infact pride. The anwer was right there in the test, or rather who it was for.
Standing there the ancient senshi waited to see if he was right, it was a bit of a guess thougb not entierly. "What happens if we fail, by the way?"

“Um. It depends on the clan.” She laughed, but it was that signaled a relief instead of humor. “You, uh, really don’t want to fail the Doomed’s tests.”Luckily, they didn’t need to find out as the sphere responded to Selinur’s answer. Correct!
You have succeeded. Please —Then the sphere cut out for a moment, its voice mute and its lights extinguished. Rebooting…“I think it might start working again after it reboots. Fingers crossed!”You both wait about a minute as the sphere’s stars light up one by one. And then, you hear a voice, different than the one before. Welcome to the Doomed Ward! Please state your purpose.“Selinur! I think it worked. Should we tell it to turn the lights back on?”❂

"I'm sure I don't want to fail any test. But I think that answer makes sense." And it did seem he was right in his half guess. That was a good thing, he didn't want to know what would happen if they failed. It wasn't that he didn't want to know something, he did, but he didn't want to fail right now and set them back. Now was not the tiem to fail something for the sake of feeding his want to know things.
He didn't believe in this finger crossing thing, he'd seen it done once or twice, but he nodded his head. This should work, hopefully it would, if they had to redo the tests again he was certain they could manage it but he also did not want to redo it all. It would be, in his opinion, a nusence and a poor use of his time.
"Of course we should, that is the important thing here." He stated.
