A European Championship Match must be held under the rules for wrestling based on the English World Of Sport Pro Wrestling style of catch wrestling, which favors grappling and submission holds.
The matches are divided into five rounds of five minutes (two pages) each, with a one-minute (One post each) break between rounds. The wrestlers can win by pinfall, submission, knockout, technical knockout or disqualification. If a wrestler is knocked down, he has ten seconds to get to his feet or it will be classed as a knock out loss. A technical knockout is if the wrestler is deemed unfit to continue. The matches usually went to two out of three falls or submissions.
Some of the rules that the wrestlers had to follow were:
No biting, gouging, hair-pulling, or low blows.
No striking with closed fists, elbows, knees, or feet.
No choking, strangling, or suffocating.
No full nelsons, neck cranks, or spinal locks.
No throwing or slamming the opponent outside the ring or onto the floor.
No interfering with the ropes or the referee.
No leaving the ring for more than 10 seconds.
No using foreign objects or weapons.
If a wrestler broke any of these rules, they would receive a public warning from the referee. If they received three public warnings, they would be disqualified and lose the match.
A count-out, low-blow, attacking the referee and using a weapon are instant disqualifications.

I AM none other than the legendary wrestler, tag team phenomenon, six star athlete, the globetrotter, and let's not forget that I AM the presence of professional wrestling! I am the man that keeps on going, the High Octane, and the one and only Mega Lion!" Cheers erupted from the audience in response to the High Octane’s claims. "Annnnnnd tonight I will be your NEW European champion!"
Accompanied by the Atomic Monster, Luis made his way down to the ring. "But that's not saying a whole lot. As soon as I get done laying the smackdown on that English fluffernutter, I am claiming that Eurotrash belt in the name of the United States of Power!" Handing the mic off to Axel, the Lion suddenly leapt up onto the apron and slipped into the ring

As Cigaro by System Of A Down reverberated through the arena, a mix of anticipation and disapproval filled the air.
The fans couldn't help but voice their displeasure as Cartwright made his grand entrance.
Dressed in his wrestling attire of wrestling tights with the English flag on them and white wrestling boots, he exuded an air of confidence that was hard to ignore.

The crowd's boos seemed to fuel Cartwright's determination as he made his way to the ring.
He reveled in the hostility, knowing that he thrived under pressure.
The spotlight followed him, casting a dramatic glow on his intense gaze.
As the music reached its crescendo, Howard Finkel, the ring announcer, took center stage.
His voice echoed throughout the arena, adding to the electric atmosphere."Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome The Owner of the World Wrestling Federation Guild and the WWFG European Champion, he is CAAAARTWRIIIIGHT!"Cartwright stood tall, absorbing the energy of the moment.
Cartwright makes his way in to the ring by climbing the steel steps and going through the top and middle rope.
Cartwright barks at a member of the ringside crew for a microphone, which he swiftly receives as his theme music fades-out.Cartwright: "You know, it's good to see that someone in Power and The Leone Family actually has a set of balls!"Cartwright starts off strong as always.Cartwright: "I'm sure our fans remember that I essentially challenged King Cyrus Leone to a match on his way towards retirement at Wrestlemania, but he has been absent ever since!
Coincidence?!
I don't think so!"Cartwright looks at Luis Leone with a sneer on his face.Cartwright: "Luis Leone, you're about to learn why the rest of your family fears me!
It's not just because I am such an amazing boss!
It is also because I am The Beeeest in this wrestling ring!
Tonight, you have the honor of being the first in a long line of my WWFG European Championship defences!
I can't think of anything worse than a United States Championship, eww!"

The Mega Lion stared at Cart as ran his mouth, slowly raising his hand to mimick the flapping of the Englishman's lips. "Blah, blah, blah. Do you ever shut your c**k holster?! If I remember correctly, my family has already won several championships at your expense and I'll be adding that one to the list!" Unzipping his hoodie, Luis swiftly tossed it to the outside before taking a few steps forward.

If Luis wants to wrestle, that is exactly what he is about to get, as Cartwright tosses the microphone outside the ring.
The referee reminds both men of the World Of Sport rules, what will earn them a public warning and what will earn them an instant disqualification loss.
The referee then signals for the bell and the match begins, the crowd cheering in excitement, as it has been decades since anybody has seen a World Of Sport match!
Cartwright cautiously approaches Luis Leone, where he offers his hands for a lock-up.

The Mega Lion took a few steps forward, moving towards the center with his hands raised. Stepping in, he suddenly lunged at Cart, looking to catch him across the face with an open palm!

Cartwright does the gentlemanly act of offering the lock-up only to get a slap across the face!
Cartwright nods once as he feels the side of his face, so this is how he wants to play.
The Boss dares Luis to do it again!

The Mega Lion connects with one of the few strikes actually allowed in this boring match type! A match where only grappling and slapping are allowed... the English are a strange bunch. The Boss attempts to goad Luis into swinging a second slap for some reason. He raises his hand, pulls it back slightly, and suddenly pushes forward a middle finger to Cartwright!

Of course, the uncultured swine Luis Leone can't wrap his head around actual grappling, this doesn't surprise The Englishman for one second!
Cartwright grabs Luis' middle finger instantly and looks to bend it backwards, to show what torture he can do if allowed to!

The High Octane was caught by the finger as Cartwright now pulled back on his finger. Luis lowered from the pain, almost dropping to a knee. He'd suddenly pick himself up in a lunge at his opponent, looking knock him back with a forearm to the jaw.

Cartwright thought that this was going to lead to an instant win, the start of his grappling dominance against the wannabe high-flying luchador, but Luis uses his speed to strike Cartwright's jaw!
Cartwright is forced to release the middle finger and stumble backwards!
King: "Look at this, JR!
Luis is afraid to grapple in a World Of Sport match because he knows he will lose against a legendary European wrestler such as Cartwright!"
JR: "That might be so King and if it is, that's a smart strategy for Luis!"

With his finger released by the evil Englishman, Luis kept on him, attempting to strike at him with a second forearm strike before attempting to put him in position for a snap suplex!

Luis rocks Cartwright's head back with a second forearm strike, this time towards the face.
This opening allows him to get a hold of Cartwright and plant him in to the mat with a fast and powerful snap suplex!
Cartwright arches his back in pain from the landing on the mat.

Upon hitting the suplex, Luis immediately attempted to transition into a grounded headlock. If Cart wants to wrassle, he was going to get some wrassling in!
