It's called a change of arc.
The first arc was Sedit vs. Astomos.
The second arc is about the House of Amon.
Arcs can't last forever, you know. If they did, people will get bored of seeing Astomos and Sedit every freaking time and they'll stop reading Another Avi Comic. Since Astomos was defeated anyway and DB promises in his mail response to make sure all of the major characters have there day in the sun, it was an appropriate time to finish off the arc and start a new one.
Ahhh...yes, but I think that it also just encumpasses change for the time. People would also get upset if Sedit and Astomos never came back as well. You need to keep things in constant motion but always remember to go back to the start of things. Kind of like a circle^^
You're very right, but it's actually more of a curl than a circle. If it were a circle, the story would wheel and start back at first arc and tell it all over again. People would get bored quickly.
You raise a ver interesting point. A circle would be very uneventful after awhile even a very large circle.
A large circle may contain a large amount of events. but the final event turns back to the beginning again. It's like your typical boy-crazy girl.
1. See a sexy boy
2. Meet and get to know the boy
3. Date the boy
4. See an even sexier boy
5. Meet the new boy without the first boyfriend knowing.
6. Get caught dating the new boy by the old boyfriend.
7. Break up with old boyfriend.
8. Keep dating new boyfriend until you meet an even sexier boy and start the cycle all over again.
This is the sort of curl I was talking about. At each intersection of the line, you see the characters of the previous arc again for some reason.
