Urania was feeling a bit off. It was strange. Her magic wasn’t working quite right. She couldn’t really describe it. She’d told Erytheia about it and all he could say was that there was an odd ‘shine’ to her magic. But then he concluded, as usual when it came to senshi-related matters, was ‘ Go find a Mauvian’. — So she set out to find a cat! ❂

Illyria gave a large yawn. The Mauvian was currently trying to blend into her surroundings as much as she could to try and keep her presence unknown to the multitude of people that continued to pass by her little hiding spot. She had been spying for lack of a better word on the citizens of Destiny City once more because it felt like there was nothing else to do at the exact moment.
Of course her cream-colored coat made it hard to blend in successfully to anything that was darker than the pigment of her fur. She'd taken to the nearest rooftop in order to peer down at the folks just walking by. The vantage point she had would have to suffice because down on the street, it'd be even easier to spot her out and about. There was no way she'd risk being nabbed by animal control either. The appearance that her ribbon collar and charm gave her fooled people from a distance that it was a proper collar and tag, but it would not pass on closer inspections.
So the rooftops it was, unless there was a good sized tree she could settle in. For now even as she watched the crowd below, did she keep her senses sharp for any auras of powered folk that were out this night.

Urania thought more about her situation. She’d been on Earth for six months now. Yet it had not felt like so long. She had seen much here in those months and, yet, there seemed just as much to still learn. There were things here that were so different from her own world and yet… and yet… it felt more and more like home, even though it was not. She had not returned home since the day she came here. But she did not have much time to think of it when she felt a tell-tail aura. “It’s very faint, but I thought I felt someone.”She looked up at the rooftops. She had felt someone, hadn’t she? Or was her magic acting up again? ❂

People watching was seemingly not relieving the sense that she needed to be doing something proactive. Illyria gave a rather large sigh, her whole body deflating with the exhale before she peered around the rooftop that she was calling her own, for the moment at least. Her paws itched with the desire to roam and mingle. But she held herself back.
But there was one sensation that she was picking up on even as she seemingly was content to stay up above those that were down below. Someone, rather nearby was giving off that familiar feeling that she'd felt with other senshi that she'd crossed paths with ... that needed aid that only a Mauvian could give.
Illyria peered down more closely at those down below before debating her options. If she remained where she was, perhaps the owner of the aura would come find her, or she could descend down into the throng below and try to ferret out the owner.
The safest bet was to let the owner of the feeling come to her she decided but she'd possible make it easier and she hopped up onto the ledge of the building before sitting primly and gazing around. If the senshi she sensed was around, maybe they'd come up to say hello. She'd certainly stand out if she stayed where she was, even more so if she switched to a higher output of auras, but that would be dangerous.

Urania looked around again. She wasn’t one to give up on a feeling. She found a shallow alleyway and, with one look to make sure she wasn’t being watched, summoned her magic. One. Two. Three. She hopped the steps that the stars made to easily scale the walls to the rooftop. There was a cat sitting quite perfectly on the ledge, as if waiting. “Oh! Hello! You’re a Mauvian, right? I can feel your aura. It’s just faint.”tefla Basic: Star’s Step. An ethereal astronomy chart manifests around Urania and three stars become platforms to stand on. For the next 15 seconds, she can use the stars to create a path either vertically or at a 45 degree angle and cross over them. Allies may follow her on this path. However, enemies that try to follow will find that the stars will glow brightly, blinding them for 3 seconds and then disappearing under their feet. Three uses.

The feeling of a senshi that needed Mauvian aid grew closer and Illyria's tail twitched in a minor move before she continued to wait. At least it seemed as if this senshi would indeed come to say hello. It warmed her deep down that she would be able to meet yet another new friend this evening. Illyria mused for a moment that there could be white moon senshi that didn't much care for cats but even as this thought rushed through her mind did a friendly voice call out to her and Illyria spun around before dismounting from the ledge.
"Yes," and here she let out a small sound of amusement before continuing, "I am a Mauvian," even though as she spoke though did Illyria carefully consider this senshi that she'd never seen before. Her keen gaze met the senshi's own eyes before she dipped down into a feline's version of a bow. It would have been a lot easier to do such a much in her other form but she rose and moved closer, almost as if she wanted to twine around Urania's legs but she held herself back. Her voice was clear, but soft, as she introduced herself, "I'm Illyria," and because she couldn't stop herself, "my aura is faint compared to others, it's true."
Illyria's whiskers twitched as she waited patiently, already she had mentally confirmed this senshi was ready for more power.

Urania did everything she could to not pick up the cat and give her cuddles right away. She was so relieved to have found a Mauvian! The only other one she had seen since coming to Earth had been one that had come to Yuri’s cat cafe. And even he had said that they don’t come much to the cafe anymore. “My name is Urania. I’m so happy to meet you, Illyria!”She didn’t know how to begin and so she started from the beginning. “I have a question! My magic has been acting strange since the moon’s been full. Though I’ve been through six other full moons and it’s never mattered before. It’s really odd so I was hoping maybe a Mauvian would know.”❂

"I'm happy to meet you too Urania," and it was the truth. She confirmed this statement by actually twining around Urania's legs, arching up at one point before she settled down with an inquisitive look at the senshi as she gave voice to the question that she wanted to ask. For a moment the young feline dared not to move as she tried to figure out what Urania was referring too. If she'd been here for six full moons prior to this one without nothing going amiss then maybe it was another sign that merely needed to be acted upon.
Illyria brought her left front paw up into the air before gently scrutinizing the senshi before her, "I think I may know what could be the cause of your issue that you are describing. But I'd like to ask you a question myself first: deep inside, is there something that feels like it's just yearning to be released? If so, I might just have the key available to help you out."
Illyria was hoping that Urania would understand what she was talking about. Considering that her magic was being odd might, and Urania had noticed, maybe she'd feel what Illyria was sensing.

Urania let her hand fall beside her to let the cat sniff as she moved around her legs. She had known that cats she had met on Earth liked that. And there had been a Mauvian she had known long ago that had expected the same. She had met Mauvians in the past, but she had not met many here on Earth and just seeing one was a joy. They had been respected by her people long ago. The king and queen each had a Mauvian companion that they regularly consulted on all important matters. “Well, yes. It’s felt, as of late, that I’m restless. More so than usual. It’s like my magic wants to be used more, too.”❂

There was a slight nodding of her head as Urania spoke of what she had been feeling. Her gaze took in the senshi as she completed yet one more circuit around the young woman before she gave the biggest cat grin she could before seating herself at Urania's feet. Craning her neck to look upwards did Illyria pause before emitting the lowest of purrs. Indeed, this was a fortuitous night for this senshi.
"I believe that you are ready to become a Super Senshi Urania. It makes sense that what you describe as being restless, as seemingly having too much energy, also coupled with my ability to sense certain things: everything points to the fact that your current form is not adequate enough to deal with the power that you are experiencing," here Illyria paused to let her words sink in before she continued, "if you allow me to confiscate your henshin pen for a few moments I believe I could help you with a solution."
Illyria was patient, and as she waited for the senshi to decide upon things she gently sniffed at the hand that had been lowered before gently reaching up to tap at the lowered limb with a paw before resuming a seated appearance more befitting a Guardian cat.

“Really? You think so?”On her world, there had been legends on how senshi would advance with the help of a Mauvian and a great test. She didn’t know how it worked now. “I — haven’t been here long. And I don’t know how everything works. But my pen has always been how my senshi powers have been upgraded by a Mauvian. So, I don’t mind giving it to you.”She held it out to Illyria and, by the way she held it reverently in her hand, it showed how much she treasured it. ❂

Illyria eyed the pen in Urania's open palm before she took in the expression that Urania was wearing. Her gaze softened as it dawned on the Mauvian just how life-changing this moment was. Considering the fact that she had been told that Urania had only been here as of late. Putting two and two together Illyria merely moved to stretch up to pat at Urania's legs before she meowed softly, "if you wish to hold onto your pen while I do this, you can, but in return I ask perhaps if you would pick me up and hold your pen against your chest. I'm sure I can perform the actions needed just as well as if I'm being held."
Illyria then lowered herself to all four paws before waiting to see if Urania would pick her up. Her voice was gentle as she continued to speak, "One skill we Mauvians have, is an innate sense to know when a senshi is ready for the next level. Here on Earth it's pretty low-key. We help as best as we can. There's no right or wrong way to do this, but generally it requires a little bit of silence and concentration on my part."
"Do you feel that you are ready for more power Urania?"

Urania practically bounced in excitement when Illyria let her pick the cat up. She gently scooped her up in her arms. Okay, she was now holding a Mauvian and being upgraded — she wanted to scream. “Yes. I’ll try and be as silent and still as I can.”Which seemed to actually take quite a bit of effort on her part. ❂

Illyria felt the gentlest of touches as Urania bent down to scoop her up from off the ground. Her whole body relaxed and she let out the softest sound of pure contentment before she gazed up at the face of the one who held her. Illyria made note of the star-shaped pupils before giving her head a mental shake. Now was not the time to be making observations about Urania. Now was a time in which she needed to concentrate on things. Upon being brought up to the correct height Illyria murmured softly to herself before making a quick adjustment to her position in Urania's arms so that she could gently reach out to place a paw on the brooch on the front of the girl's fuku.
Concentrating deeply on what needed to be done Illyria glanced over to the pen that Urania was holding close to her chest as well before smiling softly. The process in unlocking more power seemed like it differed for each senshi that she had helped to reach the next stage. Feeling the power that was flowing throughout Urania, Illyria's gaze locked onto the girl's henshin pen that was within her line of vision. With the gentlest of mental nudges did Illyria speak to the item in question, telling it that it needed to resonate with the new energy levels that were waiting to be unlocked in Urania's starseed. There was an audible click in what could have been the imagination of one Mauvian, but when Illyria opened her eyes and witnessed the pen's slight transformation ... accompanied by the smallest of light flashes she gave a small sound that spoke of her success.
"Okay, the hard part is over Urania. I've successfully done my part of this task. What you need to do now is to call upon your new transformation by holding your pen and saying the phrase, Urania Asteroid Power, Make-Up and you should transform into your new stage of being a Sailor Senshi."

Urania closed her eyes to let the Mauvian work her magic. It was the only thing keeping her from letting her unbridled curiosity get in the way. Still, she felt Illyria’s paw touch her brooch and she heard the sound the cat made. Maybe she even heard a slight noise from the pen itself, or it may have just been her imagination. Either way, she only opened her eyes when Illyria spoke again. “Urania Asteroid Power, Make-Up!”The words barely left Illyria’s lips when the senshi herself said them — as if she had know them forever. A twinkling of lights like stars. A flurry of colorful ribbons. And one final tap of her foot… And her uniform had changed and the largest of transparent back bows played in the wind.  ❂
