Hobbies: Hiking -- Morgan’s favorite place to be is outside, and he’s a fan of fresh air and natural landscapes so he tries to get out on the trails whenever he can. His work keeps him outside and he considers it a personal duty to
know the area. When he has free time, he is typically making rounds to check on things, so whether he’s walking or jogging, he’s still keeping an eye on everything around him. If he had the opportunity, he’d love to go camping more often and go on long-term hikes, but he’s making due with what he can.
Kayaking -- Truthfully, Morgan likes being on any boat, but Destiny City doesn’t have many options. The forests are fairly nearby, and with the reservoir he at least has the option to get out on a kayak. He hasn’t really found anyone that can keep up with him in their own boat, nor has he been successful in finding good company to keep with him in his own, but he’s been looking. Thankfully, he doesn’t mind being alone. Trips out with his kayak are usually a good break from the city, and he likes to spend the time fishing when he can.
Reading -- Morgan
always has a book on him. He doesn’t care for technology much so greatly prefers a physical book to anything digital but in a pinch he knows how to work his phone. He has a very active lifestyle, so when he’s on the move he can
try to listen to audiobooks, but he dislikes the slow pace of them. He reads quickly and typically goes through several books per week. He has an eclectic range of interests and will read just about anything.
Virtues: Helpful -- Though he isn't the best at showing it, Morgan is always making great effort to be helpful. He is a good listener and a good helper, and doesn’t expect anything in return. He does not knowingly do harm, and he tries to make the world a better place than he found it. He puts doing the
right thing over the
easy thing at all points in time, and though he likes to keep to himself, he likes to help others. He cares very deeply, even if he doesn’t always appear to care at all.
Hardworking -- Once Morgan commits to something, he’s in it for the long haul. He never goes into something without giving it his best effort and he doesn’t really know how to give up. He can call it a day when he needs to, and he knows how to ask for help. He wants to get the job done–right–and isn’t so arrogant to expect that he can do everything alone. He is observant and adaptable, and is a fast learner who is willing to educate himself and practice new skills. He isn’t afraid of hard work and thrives in conditions where he can fully apply himself.
Fearless -- His indifference to the face of fear is not an act; Morgan is unshakable in nearly all situations and is not afraid of rushing into danger. He understands risks and dangers and is brave in the face of them. He is confident in his skills and abilities, and even if a situation is daunting, he is not afraid to put himself in harm’s way for the sake of doing the right thing. He is not easily intimidated and stays level headed in dangerous or alarming situations.
Flaws: Stoic -- Morgan seems to be emotionally repressed, and it’s difficult to ge a solid read on
him. He has his own way of showing emotion, and he regularly seems like he’s bored or indifferent. He can come across as cold, even if he isn’t acting with any ill-will. He has to put in a lot of effort–usually more than he cares to–just to properly express himself. He has the capacity to be warm and caring, so it is often easy to mistake his reserved nature for disinterest or displeasure.
Static -- Everything in Morgan’s life is that way because it’s how
he wants it to be. He has no great aspirations and can seem unmotivated or aimless. He is satisfied with where he is and does not want to move up in the world. He can seem a bit flippant or juvenile in this sense, and doesn’t appear to have plans for a long term future. He is happy where he is, with things how they are, and doesn’t seem to have any intention of shaking things up. He often declines trying new things or won’t meet new opportunities. His general lack of interest in new things or experiences or people can make him seem like he doesn’t want to be a part of the world, and can be frustrating for those he considers friends.
