[Avari Fusion] vs Cayden "Duke" Kim

[-Nuclear Fusion-]

[ The following continues from The Unforgiven promo. ]


Avari moves back towards the center of the ring, the fans cheering loudly at the prospect of a match right here, right now. He removes his azure blue jacket, revealing his inked arms and throws up his 'eagle' gesture much to a massive cheer from the crowd!

 

[-Nuclear Fusion-]

Cayden makes his way from the back to some generic rock music, throwing up hands in the air to a mixed but gentle reaction from the crowd.

The man who fought Grant Parker Tyson at King of the Canvas had something to prove, especially after he was taken away on a stretcher.

A referee followed him close behind, pointing to the ring and leading him there. Getting in to the ring, he stretched a little before the ref rang the bell to signal the start of the match,  

[-Nuclear Fusion-]

Avari smirks as the bell rings and steps forward, offering a handshake and then a tie-up to begin the match.

The crowd weren't as electric as they would be if it were Avari facing off against Hiro right now, but they were excited to see the young Fusion in action nonetheless.

 

[-Nuclear Fusion-]

Duke accepts the handshake, although a little wary from his encounter with the titan GPT. He then also moves to the tie-up, accepting it happily.. after all, technical wrestling was more his style than being thrown around an arena.  

[-Nuclear Fusion-]

Avari smiles as the handshake is accepted, a gentleman's agreement for a sportsmanlike match here. He then gets brought in to a clinch, and attempts to put Duke in to a headlock maneuver immediately.

 

[-Nuclear Fusion-]

Duke wasn't fast enough as the headlock is well in, pressure pushing down on to his temples and cheeks. He attempts to use his strength to push Avari off him.  

[-Nuclear Fusion-]

Avari feels the pressure against his back as his grip begins to loosen. With it about to go he shouts something inaudible in to the air, then loosens his grip, right before tightening it again immediately.

It didn't look like he wanted to let go here.

 

[-Nuclear Fusion-]

Cayden thought he almost had it, right before that grip tightened and he was in the same situation as he started in. This time he looked to push Avari forwards in to the ropes, before using the momentum of the rebound to push him completely off him.  

[-Nuclear Fusion-]

The crowd started to clap along to a merry cheer and beat as the match progressed well so far, but Avari found himself now being pushed forward towards the ropes. As he reached them he was pushed forward towards the center of the ring.

Continuing his momentum he rebounded off the opposite ropes and came back at Duke.

 

[-Nuclear Fusion-]

Duke felt a wave of relief come over his as he got The Man of the Hour away from him, but knew that there was more to do. As Avari came back to him he looked to catch him with a clothesline!  

[-Nuclear Fusion-]

Avari turned off the ropes and came running back, and saw a clothesline coming his way. He ducked under and continued his run, jumping at the ropes and attempting to rebound off with a lionsault!

 

[-Nuclear Fusion-]

Cayden swings with the clothesline and misses, but knows the he has to continue the offensive. What he doesn't expect is a lionsault from the ropes, catching him and sending him sprawling to the mat!  

[-Nuclear Fusion-]

Avari rolls and gets to his feet to a massive cheer from the crowd, as he wipes away the smallest bead of sweat from his forehead. He puts his arms outwards with his 'eagle' motion to another big pop, before turning his attention to his opponent.

Fusion looks to lay down a series of stomps on to his opponent's torso and shoulders, trying to weaken him down.

 

[-Nuclear Fusion-]

Duke was just catching his senses when the series of stomps came down on to him.

He tried to cover up his face - stomp to the torso.

He tries to cover up his torso - stomp to the shoulder.

This carried on for several seconds before Cayden immediately looks to roll away and under the bottom rope, just looking for a moment of peace.  

[-Nuclear Fusion-]

The crowd watched with baited breath as Cayden rolled away, and wondered what Avari would do next. He looked out at the crowd, then back to his opponent. Fusion then began to do a cartoon-style run on the spot before turning and running at the ropes away from Cayden, running back and attempting a suicide dive at the rookie!
