Quote: The Wishing Tree (2) : Your wish is only said to come true if you grant the wish of someone else; when you write your wish, you must also take one off of the tree and do your best to grant it. What wish do you pull off, and how do you intend to ‘grant’ it? Do you work with someone else to grant this wish, or do you work alone? You may get approval from another player to use the wish their character hung up, but no names are attached so your character may not ever know who wrote it!

[This rp takes place a few days after this one] It had taken a few days to get things set up and in motion after her visit to the wishing tree, but Mi-Hi had slotted things in as best she could around her other responsibilities.
Getting the treats had been relatively easy enough, and Mi-Hi had made sure to pick up the same brand as the brand that she had bought previously as the stray cats had seemed to like it.
She had also made some homemade cat treats of her own as she figured that she could always mix up the two.
Next on the list had been to find a cat rescue centre, and she had finally settled on the Happy Paws Pet Rescue because the staff at the centre had seemed like they were really into cats and as an added bonus it looked like they had space available.
Sourcing a cat carrier had probably been the most difficult part of the list of things to do, but Mi-Hi had finally managed to find a friend (or more accurately a friend of a friend of a friend) that had been willing to let her borrow their carrier for a day.
She had considered, who, amongst the strays might be good candidates to try to take over to Happy Paws, because a few of the strays seemed to be happy enough to hang around the park and there were a few that Mi-Hi knew would probably have a thing or three to say in feline if she dared to do more than toss treats in their direction.
There was a lazy black cat that she had called Gus however who Mi-Hi thought might potentially be a good candidate as Gus was pretty friendly and seemed to like cuddles.
And then there an outgoing little tabby kitten that she had taken to calling Tabitha (or Tab-Tab for short), who seemed to have made friends with Gus.
Both of them were pretty cute in their way, and Mi-Hi thought that the shelter could probably find the pair of them the furever home that they both deserved.
If truth be told, she would have probably tried to take the pair home herself if she'd been able to because the two of them were that cute together–
And her father probably wouldn't have minded her bringing the duo home. Well at least not that much.
Mi-Hi sighed, because unfortunately the decision was something that wasn't just down to her father and her mother was never going to let her offer up their home as a cat furever home.
So the pet rescue centre it would have to be.
Catching Gus and Tab-Tab hadn't gone quite as smoothly as Mi-Hi had pictured it going, because she had pictured bribing the pair with a large amount of treats and then putting them in the cat carrier whilst the pair was distracted by the food, but it had ended up not quite working as planned. although fortunately neither of the two had been of the sort to make their displeasure known by judicious application of claws.
Eventually however she had managed to finally get Gus and Tab-Tab into the borrowed carrier and take the pair down to the Happy Paws Pet Rescue centre.
She had ended up with a new charm to add to her collection, this one an opal coloured one, and the knowledge that the staff would make sure that the two new feline additions to the centre's residents would be happy until a furever home could be found.
It was enough, she thought as she tucked the opal charm in a pocket and withdrew the wish.
It would be enough.
But even as she left the pet rescue centre so as to head to the town square so that she could go and bury the now completed wish, Mi-Hi found herself thinking that whilst she was happy for Gus and Tab-Tab (because she really was happy), it wouldn't stop the park being just that little bit emptier now that the pair were gone.-- 671 words --
