.:Redaku pups:. Part 1
Meeting the newborn Pups
Ezlynn had been inside doing some of his assigned chores, when his sister had come running inside saying that their dad's redaku had met a girlfriend and they had pups together. He blinked as he paused from his daily chores to listen in on what his sister was telling their parents, he tilted his head to the side curiously he wasn't even aware that their dad's redaku had a girlfriend, where was he and what was he doing when this happened. Curious he thought to himself, was he so into his chores that he wasn't paying attention to what was happening around him, now that made him frown deeply. He usually was the one who paid more attention to what was going on, but this time he wasn't.
He let out a soft sigh disappointed in himself that he was lacking in environmental awareness. But, he didn't let that deter him from checking out these said redaku pups. He looked around their room satisfied with his cleaning job before he headed downstairs and grabbed an apple from the fruit basket on the kitchen counter before making his way outside and into the garden where his dad's redaku was guarding the garden and their pups. He scanned around the garden to locate where its den was and slowly made his way over in hopes of catching a glimpse of these said pups, he was certain his dad's redaku was familiar with him so he wouldn't be confrontational with him. He squatted to not seem taller and more dominant he scratched his dad's redaku behind the ears "Now, let's see these pups of yours boy" he said in a gentle and calming voice to the redaku.
The redaku moved to the side of its den, showing Ezlynn the mother and the pups laying beside her. He slowly moved towards the den to get a better look at them, and quietly he counted them in his head. It looked like there were 7 of them, if Hrafn had two, and he had two that would leave 3 that needed to be homed to new owners, that would be a task in itself to find owners for the remaining 3 pups. He hummed thoughtfully as watched the pups sleep beside their mother and he scooted back towards his father's redaku giving him another scratch behind the ears "Congrats! Boy. All your pups look beautiful" he said and looked at the mother "And good job mama" he said watching her interact with the pups. He wondered if his dad knew about this, he probably did now that Hrafn had told him, he wasn't sure how their dad reacted but he was certain it was one of happiness.

After the pups matured
Ezlynn went back out to the garden to check on the redaku pups, now that they were mature enough, he was given the chance to choose two of the pups to keep for himself. He hummed thoughtfully as he stared at the pups play, he had heard from his mother that their dad had let Hrafn choose two of the pups to keep and that he had the same opportunity. So here he was out in the garden watching the pups play for a bit before he would decide which ones he was going to keep.
After a few more minutes of watching them play, he sat down on the ground and held out a hand to see which of the redaku pups would be curious enough to find out who he was. But, he knew it required patience for the pups to choose, he hummed softly as he waited before one of the pups approached him and curiously sniffed at his hand. He chuckled lightly as the pup's nose tickled the palm of his hand as he smelled him, he waited a few more seconds before the pup finally was comfortable enough to interact with him and just as he was ready to pet the pup he jumped onto him playfully and started to lick him. Ezlynn giggled as he was licked and he took that as a sign that the pup had chosen him he took one of his hands and petted the pup on the head. "Well, hello there little one," he said and sat up with the pup in his lap. "hmm...it looks like you are a little female, what should I name you?" he asked the pup before thinking about it thoughtfully. After a while of thinking about it, he figured to name the two he chose with names that either would be opposite or matching. "Alright, I think I have the perfect name for you, little missy; what do we think of the name Willow for you?" he asked. The pup made a happy noise at the name which meant that she liked the name. He chuckled lightly "Then Willow it shall be," he said with a smile. Willow sat down beside him and watched her siblings play some more, and waited patiently for one of her other siblings to curiously sniff at Ezlynn.
As the pups played, Ezlynn gently stroked Willow with one hand while he continued to watch. He hummed thoughtfully as he waited for another pup to approach him, within a few seconds of his waiting another one approached him curious to know why one of its siblings was sitting beside the hybrid boy. The pup approached the hybrid boy that was sitting on the ground and it sniffed at Ezlynn as well. Ezlynn watched as the pup sniffed at him with a curious gaze before approaching the boy, he stuck out his hand and gently encouraged it to come towards him. "It's okay, I'm not gonna hurt you," he said in a calming tone, it seemed that this pup was more careful and hesitant about approaching him, but he was fine with that, it just meant when it came to training it he would need to be more committed to it and he was perfectly fine with that.
As the pup got closer to the boy, he licked the boy's hand before snuggling into his lap. The boy didn't seem like he was gonna hurt him so he was comfortable approaching. Once he had laid his head on the boy's lap he got rewarded with pets from the boy which caused his tail to wag happily. He was one of the more hesitant and careful pups in the litter but seeing his sister with the boy it brought him some peace.
Ezlynn chuckled lightly as the pup snuggled into his lap "Hello, and it looks like you are one of the little boys in the litter." he said and lightly tapped his chin with a finger thoughtfully "How do we feel, about the name River for you?" he asked the pup in his lap. The pup licked his hand his tail wagging, as a sign that he liked the name. The hybrid boy beamed lightly as the pup in his lap licked his hand and wagged his tail, he petted both of the pups happily. "Well, Willow and River it a pleasure to formally meet you both, My name is Ezlynn and we will be the best of friends," he said and snuggled each of them in turn, now the challenge was training them hopefully they would be fast learners but he would have to wait and see.
